    Carne Asada Tacos
    Sydney S.

This little hole-in-the-wall had the type of authentic carne asada tacos I was hoping for. The salsa is markedly great but the tacos themselves were incredible overall. My friend had a horchata and said that it was less sweet than she was used to, but still good! So if you like a sweeter one, you may want to pass. The employees were nice, the food was affordable (especially for the amount of food and TASTE), and they had both indoor & outdoor seating. There was also a parking lot to the right side of the building with easily 20 spots so finding parking for 2 cars was not an issue at all. Highly recommend if you're in the area & need a tasty lunch!

If you read nothing else in the review. Please read this.. THIS RESTAURANT HAS THE ABSOLUTE BEST AND AUTHENTIC TACOS IN NJ. I consider myself a taco expert and WOW. The authenticity is impeccable. The vibe in here is super comfy. You can tell it's an authentic family business by the service they provide and honestly the warmth you feel when you order. The restaurant has about 7/8 tables varying from seating 2-4 people if that gives you any idea of how "homey" it is. I ordered the 4 tacos (2chicken,2 Al pastor) and the wings. The tortillas are homemade, corn which is a PLUS. From the radishes to the perfect spicy/pineapple flavor on the alpastor tacos-- JUST WOW.

OMG What a great Burrito, loaded with flavor & loaded with food. The tortilla wrapping was so fresh tasting. I've seen this place over the years but never went it. Although Burritos aren't true Mexican food, it was loaded with true Authentic Mexican Flavor. I also tried their wings that were just "ahh" so-so! but nothing that a little salt couldn't take care of. This is a place that I would definitely go to again to try some of their other dishes. The only negative thing for me was that the young lady who assisted me didn't speak English & my Spanish is really bad or should I say non existent once we get past "hola". Anyway the food was pretty go, the restaurant is small, yet cute & quaint and the price is affordable, what more can you ask for?

    Tiramisu with fungus

Ordered Veggie Burrito, drink and Tiramisu as To-Go order. Once I opened the food to eat at home the Tiramisu was smelling bad and had fungus on it. Burrito was average and nothing special that's why giving 2 Stars. Totally a bad experience! Check the picture of Tiramisu with fungus on it. The owners of the restaurant needs to make sure they are not serving any stale food.

Excellent Tacos! I miss the Mexican food in East Harlem, but this could be my new spot. Pleasant service, fair prices, and definitely authentic Mexican. I will be back to try some other dishes.

Bro....... this place is amazing. El pastor w/ pineapple was insane. Take my advice stop at this place if you are in the area. Place is nothing fancy just really great authentic Mexican food.

I ordered the steak platter which is quite big for two people to share. The steak platter comes with rice, beans, guacamole, chips, pico de gallo and tortillas. Service is prompt. Its a nice little place to dine and relax. Their prices are great! Food was delicious. Meals come with chips and guacamole as well. The green hot sauce was amazing. Waiter was really nice. Theres is a parking lot right next to it or street parking. I will recommend this place to anyone

They said it was hot sauce. Not hot at all.

Today is Super Tuesday! Perhaps it was a bad Tuesday for Tacos. Could it be because I was eating and watching Clinton win Florida and Trump too- All at the same time ?? Perhaps!!! In any case, Antojitos left me with a small dissatisfaction. Here is why. The al pastor tacos were salty, not spicy and did not have chunks of pineapple. The presentation was falling short of impressive. Same story for the carne tacos. After a short break, I started to poke into the enchilada mole. The fresh queso blanco laid nicely on the enchilada. The black beans and rice tasted just fine, however, refried beans was expected. I bet it would've taste better too. The mole sauce was red in color but not spicy in taste. In fact, I found it to be fairly sweet. Obviously, it was not Mole Poblano style. It was just Mole Rojo. There were four enchiladas and after finishing one, the urge or desire to eat another was simply not there. What I must say, the ingredients were fresh. Chicken, pork, carne, rice, onions, etc. That's a plus in my book. I can't speak about the service since it was a pick up order. Parking is available on the side of the building. The location is not an ideal place for a young woman like myself but I know KARATE!!!! just kidding. Just be careful. They are open 7 days a week and have daily specials. Spanish is the primary language here so I recommend knowing your basics when dining here. Have fun.

This is how big the burritos are.

February 8, 2016 Update: I've been here multiple times already and I see no reason why I should not give them five stars. The food is consistently delicious and the people here are super friendly. I've never been disappointed with the food. This is literally the only place I go to for Mexican food in Jersey... Mexican food craving fulfilled! The food here has its differences from what I used to eat in California, but that is expected. Keep in mind that this place is pretty small; there are five tables inside. Carne Asada Burrito ($8.50): Pretty big burrito stuffed with plenty of rice, cheese, some beans, and a good serving of carne asada. The carne was seasoned well. Although I wish they added pico de gallo, the salsa verde the burritos and tacos come with adds a nice subtle kick. Al Pastor Burrito ($8.65): They actually do not sell al pastor burritos, but the cooks happily took our request and made it for us! The al pastor was tender and flavorful. Like the other burrito, there is no cilantro or pico, but this is pretty close to what I am used to eating back home. The ratio of meat to rice is pretty good--there isn't too much of one thing. Al Pastor Tacos ($8.65): Compared to the burritos, I think I like the tacos more. The corn tortillas are homemade--soft, fluffy, and cooked perfectly. You can taste the al pastor more, since there is only cilantro and onion topping it (the way it should be). I would've liked a side of lime or some picked radishes, but I'm happy either way. Chicken Tamales: I wish they had beef, but I still enjoyed these. The masa itself is flavorful because of the shredded chicken. Do note that the chicken is packed mainly in the middle of the tamale. It's not spicy, but if you want it a little kick, definitely add plenty of salsa verde!

They make delicious burritos. It's a very small place but the people are very nice and the burritos are well worth the drive.

Typical "Mexican" restaurant interior with both high top seating & standard table seating. Staff were friendly and efficient, drinks were nice a strong. Food was good and this place could definitely be a local spot to go to on a whim. We had Quesadillas de Birria, Volcano Burrito-which they cut up and classify it as "sushi burritos," and Margaritas. It is important to note that the complimentary chips and salsa were good. Everything was good and I would suggest if someone was asking for something in the area, albeit I would run back here on a normal day. Nothing against the venue, please do not think that, it's just not my overall preferred type of food. For some of us, it might simply call for going out and getting tacos or even just preparing our own. Situated in the middle of a residential neighborhood in Roselle Park, this establishment is set inside a small corner suburban home where some of my colleagues decided on takeout, which came highly recommended. Upon arrival at Taqueria La Casita, or "The Little House Taqueria," we were confronted outside by the neon signage reading "Tacos Open" and Mexican flags, among other pieces of colorful decor. Greeted by the staff inside an un-air-conditioned cozy dining room decked out in its Mexican splendor with 4 tables. In the back, a colorful menu with nearly a dozen different types of tacos and an array of other dishes written by hand. We opted for individual orders containing 4 tacos with Shrimp, Chicken, Steak, and Pork. While waiting, we couldn't help but notice the trompo--the spinning, shawarma-adjacent log of marinated pork used for Al Pastor, which translates to "in the style of the shepherd." Originating in Puebla, this came at the hands of Lebanese immigrants during the 1930s. The tortilla itself was freshly made, of the corn variety. They were stuffed to the brim with meat prepared in front of us and served with cucumbers and lime. Fresh condiments of diced onion, cilantro, and avocado were separated in their own container, and all were needed. Various sauces accompanied in small containers, such as green, which was jalapeño-based; the darker red salsa was smoky from dried and smoked chipotle chilis; and neon orange, which was a sauce made from chili de arbol and tomato. The guacamole was absolutely delicious along with the chips, and we couldn't get enough. The portion was a healthy size. The service was fast; Maribel was friendly and accommodating. Authentic, fresh, and affordable--we can recommend this place.
