I have never in my life left a review or gone back into a restaurant to return my food but I guess there's a first time for everything. I just paid $17 for 5 extremely dried out tacos. Chicken was dry like dust and the corn tortilla shells were rubbery. The entire thing had zero flavor. The food tasted fresh and authentic. We ordered the steak tacos and the nice man allowed us to mix and match the carnitas and the al pastor. Our fave were the carnitas and al pastor. We ended up getting takeout tacos from here to bring across the street to Buttzville Brewery. It was pretty quick from when we ordered to when our food was ready to pick up our order. We got an order of steak street tacos, an order of chicken street tacos and guacamole. The tacos are quite small, but it was nice to get a couple different options to share to try multiple flavors. The tacos came with a green and a red sauce - both packed with flavor but the red one was SPICY in the best way and kept getting spicier after you swallowed. The waitress was so kind and helpful, making it known off the bat she was new but would be happy to ask the chef any questions just to confirm. There were 6 of us, and We had steak tacos , chips and guac, enchiladas , and burritos. The presentation was great, the food was fresh, and the portions were large. Everything was stellar. The only improvement would be in the inside decor/ ambiance. It's fine, but it's a fairly plain building and Is okay for a relaxed "grab and go" meal. We've tried... - Al pastor tacos - chorizo tacos - carnitas tacos - steak tacos - carnitas torta - chicken nachos Everything is fantastic. Our favorites would have to be the carnitas tacos and torta. Melt in your mouth pork and they don't skimp on the meat. The tacos come in sets of 5 and comes with a salsa verde and smoky hot sauce which is FIRE. So so good. We stumbled upon this place after going to a farm up there and it was empty so we were able to get a seat right away. The server was really nice and super helpful and they give you free candy- but that's about as much as I liked from the experience. I'd actually give this a 3.5 if possible. It has great potential! The vibe/atmosphere inside is pretty dreadful. The tables were very dirty and the service is mediocre, at best. Where the potential lies is the food! It's fresh and pretty tasty. But the menu is a bit confusing (perhaps just a language barrier). The tacos do not come with rice and beans, which is a bit odd. If you order it, it's $12+ and it's a plate that could be shared by two people. The tacos come as either 4 or 5 per order, which is a lot. We had the chicken and Al pastor. The Al pastor was very good, but could be significantly improved with fresh pineapple (instead of canned). The chicken was just ok. The price is an issue. 5 tacos is a lot...but for a meal it should be 3 tacos and rice & beans. For our two orders of tacos and the shared rice and beans (and two drinks) it was a $40 lunch. I might come back, but if so, it would likely be for takeout. There are other, better options in the area though. So I won't be in a hurry.... read more

I'm writing this review after a couple of dozen takeout orders and a few in-person visits. The food it phenomenal... it's a 'from scratch kitchen' and it's FRESH. I love the nachos... chicken or beef, they come loaded to a point where you'll find ourself asking for extra chips to finish all the toppings. Another thing to have with those wonderful home made chips is the salsa verde... it's got fresh avocados in there for an amazing taste and mouth feel. The crispy tostadas with chicken tinga is always a crowd pleaser. The chipotle with adobo shines in this dish. The tacos with the freshly made tortillas are a sure thing... try the longaniza - their spicy sausage version. This brings me to their torta... it's a good group! These freshly made Mexican paninis are amazing and I've found myself making excuses to grab one on the go. Your choice or meats, with avocados, pickled jalapeños and other goodies make this one of my favorites. Stopped in the other night - never realized this was next to my favorite butcher shop that I frequent. I ordered sopes with beef, and a side of rice/beans. The sopes were excellent. The rice and beans were good as well, didn't really need them though as the 4 sopes were more than enough. Brought home tacos for my son which he enjoyed tremendously. Will definitely go back again. The portions of meat were small and burnt to a crisp. The remainder of the food appeared to be disgusting with only the lettuce and sour scream appearing to be fresh. My favorite has to be the carnitas; they were presented in big chunks of soft pork instead of the shredded pork other places usually use.
