I have been to many Chipotles and have never seen one that I would consider unclean. The Chester Chipotle was shockingly filthy and deserving of a visit by the health department. There was food all over the prep counters, pieces of food from one bin that fell into another, grill was filthy and caked with residue and there was food all over the prep floor. I was all the more perplexed that, while there was no one else in line but me, several of the staff were behind the counter joking around and not cleaning a thing. Why are the employees so rude? There is only one employee I've encountered who deserves to still be working here. 12:15pm on a weekday lunch rush and they are out of both rices and all meats except a few scoops of chicken. I often wondered why there is hardly a line here and now I know. Tables and floors are dirty and everyone is just miserable. The reviews here are consistent with my experience. Idk what happened whether it's a new owner or management but i went again after not going to this location for a couple of years and the place is filthy, the tables were all dirty, and there was no rice, barely any proteins, no beans I just decided not to order because the food looked like it had been sitting there for a long time. Apparently I wasn't the only one frustrated enough to walk out on their order - the pickup shelves had many orders that were abandoned hours ago. Went to this location today. Food was pretty good. My biggest complaint was not one of the empty tables were cleaned. There were 6 employees working and only 2 people eating in the place. Pros: There's other places to eat nearby. Lots of room for improvement. Price of guacamole is comparable to flying to Mexico for your own avocados. Cons: Good at playing highly inappropriate music with curse words while the kids eat the soft shell tacos that are crunchy and the burrito that wasn't held together to begin with. We just left Chipotle. Seems like their staff has some punctuality issues based on other recent reviews--probably a larger management issue. We arrived at 11:00, knowing they were supposed to have opened at 10:45, but they still couldn't take our order until 11:15 because they weren't finished opening. My husband finally went nextdoor to Five Guys, but I stayed and ordered a burrito bowl. When I asked about whether guacamole would be on the house since they were opening half an hour late, the worker just said "sorry." It is not an issue of numbers--there were 5 or 6 guys there. The manager (I think) is incredibly rude. She's a blonde women. I came in today for my pick up order that was $32 and they forgot to put my Mexican coke in the bag and when I got to the car I realized the bag felt light and unsealed it to see they forgot the coke. Went in right away with the receipt and she told me how since I left the restraunt they can't prove I ever got a drink. She said that while reading my receipt with the coke included in the order. She said shell allow it "just this once". Sounding like a cop when in reality she's just a chipotle employee. I came on halloween with my boyfriend and even got a compliment on my costume which i thought no one would get. Truly a great experience, and the $6 boorito deal was so worth it! Is this the worst chipotle in the U.S? I've loved chipotle for at least a decade and I was so excited when I heard a location was being built near me. But not one time have I had a decent meal from the Chester location. From stale, flavorless chips, brown guacamole, pitiful portions, and ingredients such as cheese being unavailable on a Saturday at 7pm, I'm starting to think this place doesn't even want to be in business. Ordered a Salad which had about 4 sprigs of lettuce in it.... A Salad with no lettuce .... I have been to Chipotle's all over the country and this is by far the absolute worst. This has happened to me TWICE: "Sorry, Sir, we've run out of XYZ..." (one time it was MEAT and they only serve 4 kinds!!!) which in itself isn't that big of a deal. Here's the big deal: I ordered online and had a waiting time between 15 - 25 minutes. Again, not a problem at 4 PM. Here's the rub: After sitting in the parking lot, waiting 20 or so minutes for the quick pick-up order, the order was not completed or waiting. That's when I get the news that they're out of this or that and have to reorder. Now, I ordered online so they had my account. Why not text or email me? What happens instead is I then have to choose a replacement ingredient and wait and wait and WAIT while folks who have not ordered in advance walk in and out with their orders over and over agaimn (they get priority). So, the result is I wait 20 or so minutes to pick up my order than end up waiting another 25-30 minutes once I get to the location and have to reorder. It's really a bad process/management. The kicker was that one item in the 2-person order was wrong, which would have rolled off my back under normal circumstances but today's order was just 2 nothing-special burritos! I was thrilled when Chipolte opened in Chester but I think they've lost me. The little indie Mexican place near the Chester Meat Market is as good and has a more varied menu, to boot. read more

It seems like they are very understaffed ( probably for a reason ) . I ordered a burrito bowl and a side of chips and queso to go . I know I ordered around rush hour so at tops I thought it would be a 15/20 min wait after the time it said it would be ready . Me and about 15 others sat in the restaurant for about 45 mins for our to go orders . I wish chipotle gave you the option of canceling your to go order and just going into the line at that point . Which by the way was completed empty at one point while we all sat there and watched this one poor kid making all these to go orders that probably all came in at once . Seems like bad management . The cleanliness of the restaurant, a positive note, is ostensibly only a product of there being few people dining in. They certainly weren't prepared to serve many. i placed an order for a 10:30 pickup and when i went to pick up my order the doors were locked. on the door it says they close at 10:00 but on the website and the app it says they close at 11:00. my card was charged and it says that the pickup is confirmed and ready. i knocked on the door to get the workers attention and he looked at me and proceeded to ignore me. i tried calling and got connected to the restaurant and no one answered even though the workers were still in the restaurant. i am so upset with this situation. read more
