I came here to meet up with my brother after work to get some lunch. The staff here seemed pretty friendly but they could smile a little more to give a warm welcome feeling. Chicken Noodle Soup: This was perfect on a cold winter's day and it kept me warm. It had the correct ingredients and tasted delicious with enough flavor. Gyro: My brother said this tasted really good and was one of the best gyros he has had in a long time. Chicken Parm on a Roll: The chicken was cooked well and had enough taste to it from the sauce. The cheese tasted a bit different and could have been better. The roll was soft and was delicious with the sauce on it. Overall: This restaurant isn't so bad but it doesn't have that welcoming vibe in the restaurant. The restaurant seemed a bit boring that it makes you want to sleep or not be there. The food here was good but just wasn't that amazing to the point where I must come back to try out other menu items.

We have been going here for quite sometime and always had a fantastic experience. Tonight the highlight to my meal was the service. The waitress was great! I ordered the fish and chips special and was not anything that I expected. The soup that came with it "tomato rice" was acceptable but lacking in the rice department. The fish was flat "cod" fish cakes that were overcooked and Mrs.Pauls would better suited this meal. The fries was overdone and few on the plate. The menu offered few choices and since we were last there the special menu has been removed from the menu. We once enjoyed dining at this establishment and always found it to be good, but with the absence of the once special menu and limited menu items I would find it difficult to dine here again. Your opinions may difer from mine.

My friends and I went to Fontainebleau Diner for breakfast. When we arrived we noticed that parking was busy, but due to the large lot size there were plenty of spots available. The inside of the diner is large, with an abundance of tables. We were seated immediately and the service was quick as waters were brought to us as soon as we were seated. The menu was large with many options, including vegan and gluten free. The all day breakfast menu was our favorite. We each ordered a different meal and everything came out quickly and was delicious. I would most defiantly recommend the omelets as they were a highlight of the visit. The diner had a modern feel to it, but the booths allowed for it to maintain its diner charm. This American Diner was a Mid-Century modern style making it a nostalgic place for customers. If you are ever looking for a late night snack, the diner is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

A typical Jersey diner. I came here with a group of 6 and they were accommodating of the larger party. Our server, Sandy, was really sweet and made us feel welcome. The food itself though was kind of disappointing. Diner food doesn't need to be the best meal of your life but it should be satisfying comfort food. A lot of our dishes missed that mark. My fries tasted like they were reheated from a frozen package. A few of my friends ordered waffles and they all felt the waffles tasted funny. The whipped cream was a bit stale. I got an ice cream shake that was reasonable and one of my friends liked the chicken tenders. My meal (fries and a shake) came out to a little under $15 with tax and tip. You can probably get better in the area for the same price but if you do stop by, I would stick to finger foods and drinks

So we were out and hungry saw the sign and stopped in we were seated in a clean booth attended by. Sandy. She was friendly. Personable and efficient! Our food came out hot appetizing and delicious Thought the meal we were not ignored but Sandy was there. We left with our appetites suppressed and blessed by our server. Above average Jersey diner in Piscataway. Best breakfast place within miles. Great omelettes and coffee. Clean and good service. A go to place.

First time eating from here. We had the food delivered, so I expected some decline in quality because of that process, but in this case the main items were just plain badly done. The eggs were fine, the Home fries were actually Great! Kudos! The bacon was Ok, but it fell victim to a poor packaging decision. The pork roll they use tastes & looks more like Canadian bacon (not a fan of that). They give ample butter & syrup packets, plenty of plastic forks & knives, & a good amount of salt & pepper, so that's good. The French Toast because of it's texture, was also good, so no complaints there. But back to this poor packaging decision: The "Crispy Belgian Waffle" (they're description, not mine), & Pancakes fell victim to it. I could tell those items were freshly packaged, the problem is the foam containers were not given holes to "breathe." They could have just poked some in, but they didn't. As a result, the "crispy" waffle & pancakes were so soggy by the time that they arrived that they actually came across as under cooked. Could they have been? Sure! But I'd like to think that that was not the case. I'd be willing to try them again IN the restaurant.

The first time back I didn't expect be treated in such a degrading manner. There were barely any customers and I simply wanted to check their cakes and get a coffee to go. I ordered with the manage upfront and he immediately acted like I was wasting his time. I then asked a very common question what the frosting was on the red velvet cake. He rudely snapped back saying "just normal cake frosting," as if there was no other options. But I then asked if it was buttercream or cream cheese, when he replied with buttercream he had such a degrading attitude acting like cream cheese was such a ridiculous option. After paying $3 for a small coffee, I took a sip and noticed it had almost no coffee taste. I went back and mentioned it, he rudely said he didn't understand what I meant, insisting he'd been making the same coffee for 20 years, as if coffee could never be diluted then STRONGLY implying the issue was me. He brought out the second cup and the little cream I asked for looked almost translucent. I then calmly just asked for a refund. He muttered something under his breath and then almost flung the money at me like I was a piece of sh*t, telling me to never come back. Im still speechless at what happened. I don't think I've ever had anyone in my life treat me even close to the way he did. I feel as if the second I parked facing the entry door and hung my handicapped placard I was targeted

As soon as we sat down, our server was incredibly welcoming and attentive. I asked him for a drink recommendation and told him what flavors I usually enjoy, and he immediately suggested something that ended up being absolutely perfect for me. The drink didn't take long at all to come out as well! Everyone at my table ordered burgers, and we were all impressed. The portions were generous, and the burgers were cooked just right. They were juicy, flavorful, and satisfying without feeling overly heavy. We paired them with fries and onion rings for the table, and both were sooo crispy and delicious. The restaurant itself is beautiful both outside and inside. It has a really inviting vibe, and you can tell they put effort into creating a space that feels stylish but still comfortable. When we arrived, it wasn't too busy, which made for a relaxed lunch experience. While we were there, near the bar area there was a group of people celebrating something with a DJ, and the energy over there looked like so much fun!! Overall, great service, delicious food, and a fun atmosphere. I'll absolutely be coming back!

Parking is also highly convenient. The menu is extensive and I can't wait to go back to try everything they have. There are the classic breakfast items of course, but they also have some innovative dishes or familiar dishes with a spin. I ordered the jerk chicken pasta which was spicy, so flavorful and also a great portion size. Others in our party ordered pancakes, which were so fluffy, eggs, fried chicken, fried catfish and more. Everything was fried to perfection and the catfish tasted like it had literally just jumped out of the ocean. Our waiter was super nice and we had a big party so I'm sure it wasn't easy. My only suggestion is that they make their hot drinks hotter. Other than that, I'd seriously come back every weekend.

READ FULL REVIEW!!!…read more March 2026: First time at this establishment was just ok. Hosted a very small get-together here (5 guest). Atmosphere was nice. Music was wayy too loud to hear the person you're sitting next to. Food was tasty and fresh. Coffee was good with great creamer selection (at the time). Our server was my least favorite part of this experience. He was over the top with his energy and upscale tactics (pushy with getting us to order extra drinks and appetizers despite declining). I was hosting this event and did not need him selling us after already being told "no, thank you" twice. It was awkward and ultimately changed the vibe. He hardly checked on us after that encounter and we constantly had to remind them about request that were never brought out to the table. Staff needs to be trained better. This was just an ok experience. April 2026 : What ultimately lead me to write this review was my 2nd experience at this diner. The server was a lot better than our first experience, but we did run into a few too many problems. First, we ordered coffee and are informed that per managements request, we can only have half-half or cream with our coffee. Previously they had French vanilla creamers and other flavored creamers but I guess management decided to save on the additional cost. This was a bummer especially realizing that they could easily afford creamers. This restaurant easily pulls at least $150,000 per week in revenue, so I didn't understand cheapening out like that. I still ordered the coffee. When it came to the table I added the cream into the cup only to find something floating in the coffee. I send it back and ask for a new cup, which the server politely provided. We order our meals and all goes well. Eventually two of the three meals come out and we wait for the final plate to come out. It's common courtesy to wait for everyone to have their meal before eating, so we wait. We wait about 6-7 minutes and the final plate comes out only for it to be cold. All of us ordered breakfast, so you can imagine trying to eat cold egg, potato, and sausage. We ask for the waiter, but before he could get to us the manager passes by and we let him know the issue. He takes the plate to the back and about two minutes later he comes back with the same exact plate. Before the manager arrived to take the plate away, I saw the guest split the egg half and add black pepper on everything so we knew it was the same plate and food she started eating off of that was reheated onto the kitchen grill where other food is being prepared for guest. The manager informs us that he had the chef heat the food up on the griddle and that it should be a perfect temperature. We refuse to accept the plate because it was reheated and not remade entirely. We were shocked that this was the solution even being offered. Reheating food on the griddle seemed unsafe (contamination risk, diseases, illness, etc) and offensive. No one pays these prices to have reheated breakfast served to them. I could've just made that at home for a fraction of the price. We politely refuse the reheated plate and he apologized and took the plate to the back. The server comes over to see what the issue is and we explain everything. He says that he will look into it and take that meal off the bill. Now I'm frustrated because one out of the three of us aren't eating anything and the experience was off. At this point, I'm not eating my meal but the 3rd guest is eating. So the guest who sent their plate back and myself are waiting for the 3rd guest to finish their pancakes. He ordered a stack of 4-5 chocolate chip pancakes and was happily eating away at layer by layer. Eventually he gets to the last 2 pancakes and before he adds syrup he notices what appeared to be an eyelash or short piece of hair imbedded in the pancake. Picture of the clearly imbedded hair included with this review. He immediately stopped eating and looks sick. He had already eaten 3-4 pancakes by then and the idea that he ate more of whatever that was felt unnerving, to say the least. We both start looking to see what he's looking at and long behold the hair was there. At this point we are extremely frustrated and completely over this experience. Management did not make this experience right even after addressing all of these issues both separately and together. I felt like my money was not valued and my business certainly wasn't. They did nothing to remedy these issues and I will NOT be going back to this establishment. This restaurant may look visually beautiful but the service is not. Staff needs more training, music needs to be turned down, chefs need to wear hairnets and everyone needs to follow safe food handling skills. You're putting your guest and your business at risk ignoring these issues. I really really wish I had a better experience.
