    Pupusa
    Jhocelyn M.

I've been here a couple times for breakfast on a Sunday. Have never had to wait for a table although the restaurant does get very busy. Parking is available but if the restaurant is full you may have to use street parking which is a little difficult to find as this is on a Main Street. My go to is the típico breakfast and a pupusa with chicharron, queso y frijol. They are THE BEST. Perfectly filled and seasoned. The cole slaw and the tomato sauce that comes with this pairs sooo well.

Had the house special breakfast which Is always great. Tried a tamale that was Really good as well. Waitress was really friendly too. Speak Spanish and English here, all are welcome. Brought my niece A couple times so she could enjoy the Unusual but very good breakfast. Recommend.

    Watered down "FRESH JUICE"
    Jay A.

After 10+years of being a regular at Douglas dinner today my rating went from a 5 to a 3. I loved the fresh orange juice here, I noticed the last couple of times I have visited that its becoming watered down. Today I ordered an orange juice and asked the server if it is pure orange juice or if they add water to it she assured me its 100% juice. several minutes later I told her it tastes like water and that I did not like it, she told me that I was wrong and no water was added to it. Never offered to take it away and refused to take it off my bill. I didn't want to argue for a couple of bucks but I would like management to know that for something so simple not corrected on site they lost a loyal customer. Food has always been great here and never had an issue before, however I think management needs to step it up and do better. Im posting a picture of the juice, half water half pulp. It taste like water with a hint of orange juice. why not charge more and keep good quality? Highly disappointed, if this was an issue with a Drink....Cant imagine having an issue with an Entree. No customer satisfaction what so ever!

I was feeling under the weather in need of homemade soup. Drive to the closest town and found the spot looked up review and parked. Walked to the counter by the way place is clean. Plenty of tables and well lit. Not a hole in the wall kind of place. Diner feel inside loved it, very welcoming not intimidating. I reviewed the menu saw lots of possibilities but focused on my needs. Kept saying in my head next time I'll get this and this. I ordered soup and 2 tamales of chicken seriously I couldn't resist. Took it home and the chicken soup was perfect it even had a nice lemon flavor for my soar throats how they know with a side of white rice. Delicious, I have my go to place for soup .. check. Tamales were so fresh the chicken still had bones yum. I would have liked some sauce on the side but I would recommend both whenever your in the area. Can't wait for my next visit!! Might even be today!!

Occupying the space previously…read moreknown as The Office Bar & Tavern, 22 West is a nice, casual tavern setup right on Route 22 with a solid-looking menu featuring a wide variety of burgers, sandwiches, and entrees. I recently met a friend at 22 West for a few drinks and dinner. We got there at the tail end of Happy Hour and enjoyed a couple of locally-produced draft beers. The food itself was perfectly okay -- nothing mind-blowing, but decent enough for a casual bite. We shared a dozen chicken wings and both thought they were pretty good. I had a turkey burger and french fries -- which was well-executed and filling. Looking at their website, it seems as if they've changed up their menu since my visit late last month.. but, I'm not sure I'm going back to try it again because the service really dragged our experience down. We sat at the bar and the staff behind the rail barely paid attention to us and seemed ambivalent about our presence at best. The biggest issue for me happened when I went to the men's restroom and found the soap dispenser completely empty. On the way back to my seat, I mentioned it to the hostess so it could be addressed by the staff and asked if she had any hand sanitizer. She just told me it was her first day on the job and she didn't know who to ask about either. Leaving a restroom without soap is bad enough, but a front-of-house staff member completely brushing off a basic hygiene issue because she didn't want to find a manager is just really bad customer service. It's a convenient spot with decent pub food, but they definitely need to tighten up their service and basic restroom maintenance.

Not actually has a full size bar, indoor dining area, and an outdoor patio. This is a slight variation from a traditional chicken Parmesan entrée. The cutlet was prepared differently. The edges were pounded thin and had a crispy texture. The center of the cutlet was thick and chewier. Hidden beneath the cutlet was house made spinach linguine. It's different from typical pasta, but it has an acquired earthy taste. The appearance of the vodka sauce isn't the most appealing, but it tastes a lot better than it looks. The sauce was thick and creamy and had chunks of tomato. I highly recommend requesting an additional cup of sauce for full flavor. Overall, I enjoyed this plate. The minor drawback was we arrived while our server was ending his shift during our meal. We were assigned another server and it lead to miscommunication. #stagehousetavern #chickenparmreview #parmesancrustedchickenbreast

The restaurant was not yet crowded, yet my husband and I were put essentially in an "alcove" seating area away from the main dining room. Absolutely no ambiance, right next to the beverage area where the servers gather and also where the high chairs and booster seats were stored. When I noted my displeasure, I was met with, "Sorry, we're really busy today and we can't seat you elsewhere." There were many other empty tables in the main dining room and also empty hightop tables in the bar area. The buffet food was overcooked and cold. The coffee tasted like it was made last night. Total of our bill was $157.00 (and we paid an additional 3% on top of this for credit card). Yes, we knew what it was a head, but they also added an automatic 20% tip and the bill still suggested that we give our server a tip, who we had to follow up with for another cup of coffee, milk and water. Extremely disappointed. We won't be coming back here for a holiday meal.
