Friends have gone here for years, got a chance to try it myself. Yeah this is good pizza! Portnoy 8.2 is right. Friendly service, clean nice place.

What a find! We were local for a game at STAC and popped in for lunch. The Margharita thin crust and zucchini sticks were amazing! Cute casual atmosphere and great service!

Came here for lunch and ordered a small Margherita and chicken wings for appetizer. The chicken wings were delicious and on spot. The pizza was fantastic and well made. Definitely coming back here again in the future The ambiance and service was on spot!

We were in the area and drove by Mountain House and decided to stop there for some food and I am glad we did. We went on a Friday night and the place was hopping but we were able to get a table. We were promptly seated and had our drink order taken. Service was efficient and friendly from everyone. We ordered a Goodfella pizza, which has pepperoni, sausage and meatballs on it (it comes with bacon as well but we opted out). We also had some chicken parm bites to start. Everything was great! If you like thin crust pizza, you'll be in hog heaven. The restaurant has a great vibe and the bar area was also hopping. Just a note on weekend evenings they only do large pizzas. I would love to be able to replicate their dough recipe when I make pizzas at home. Definitely recommend Mountain House!

Thin crust pizza with sass In New York, need to have a thin crust pizza while here. There was a soccer match not that far, so we dragged one of the families along to try this place out. It's a funky little shack of a place, right off of a hipster downtown location. There was plenty of parking and plenty of seats inside. The decors is that of a 1980's Pizza Hut without the booths. The decor was simple and dated, but clean. The servers were a little hard to understand but understood us perfectly. We got mussels and a large "hawt swashedge" special pizza. The family we took along got a mix of chicken bites, pizzas, and chicken wings. The food came out quick, and we all dove in (I was only able to get some shots in) The mussels were nice and spicy. Meaty and no duds in the bowl. The family enjoyed the wings and chicken bites, everyone shared and the portions were plenty for our group of 6. The pizzas were wafer thin, almost cracker like. Cooked well and plenty of toppings. The pizzas were smaller, and they were promptly devoured. Being the old guy I am, I bought the two kiddos the Ultimate Oreo Waffle sundae. I am happy to report that it was worth the price. The giant mound of ice cream put in front of them was ogled appropriately and that made me smile. That too was promptly devoured. But the effect was worth it. I got a solo waffle ice cream sandwich for myself and that was tasty too. I really like the crispy waffles they make, so many places do pancakes with ridges. These were true crunchy waffles. This place is a really good pizza place, and if you get a chance feel free to give them a try!

The food here was worth the wait! We came at the height of busyness, Friday evening for dinner. I had my parents go a little early and put their name on the list- about a 20 min wait. Not terrible but boy were the clientele there pushy mixed with an introverted hostess. Staff was clearly overwhelmed but the food came out quick and hot. The dining room was a bit packed and no place for people to wait so everyone sort of just stares you down for your table. Apparently was recently remodeled so I wonder what it looked like before but hearsay was that there is now more seating. We had 2 pies, both delish and thin crust! 10/10 We had the baked clams, vodka chicken parm bites ( yum & cheesy) , and wedgey salad- all yum 10/10 I'd go back for take out ( they have a drive thru pick up option) but would think twice about eating in , especially in a busy weekend night!

What a GEM The Mountain House is!!! The place is so clean and the decor is just so welcoming... The service is warm and friendly... Wine glasses filled to the prudent amount... Fried calamari was fresh, light, and not just rings... And the pizza is OFF THE CHARTS! They boast (as they should) that Dave Portnoy gave them an 8.2, but in everyone WE went with's book -- NO DOUBT A TEN!!! Topped off dinner with a "Smack-A-Waffle"... INSANELY CRISP AND SATISFYING!

It has been many years since we've been to the mountain house for pizza. We went on a Friday night and we got there a little after 5 o'clock in the place was slammed. There was barely any parking spots left. The entrance is very tight so it's very hard to wait there and it gets crowded and hot. They did have a high top at the bar that we just sat at instead of waiting for a table in the dining room area and this was fine. The service was a little bit slow because I think the waiter was overworked and had too many tables, he didn't check in to see if we needed more drinks so my husband just had to go to the bar to order another drink. They had a wrench on tap which he likes, but it was expensive at $11 a glass and they also had Guinness on top but no Guinness glasses. I had a cosmopolitan and it was fine. I don't think I would order it again. We started with the mozzarella sticks, which I forgot to take a picture of and they were delicious. They were crispy and gooey, and the sauce was divine. My husband and I split the godfather pizza which had meatballs on it, caramelized onion, and ricotta cheese. I thought the flavor was a little bland and it was missing something. The pizzas there are very thin crust. That is what they are known for on. Friday, Saturday and Sunday they do not make smalls they only make larges which I thought was important to note because we normally all like to go and get individual sizes and we weren't able to. We had to just get larges. There are a lot of pizza places in the area now so I don't think we'll be coming back here for another few years. One cool thing that they have is a drive-through that when you order pizza you can just pull up to the window and they'll pass you your pies.

There was a large variety of slices offered. I only problem I had was choosing because I wanted to explore them all. Caprese Slice: This slice is smothered in pesto sauce and topped with feta and chunks of tomato. You will definitely need a fork and knife to finish this wedge. Drink Angry Nonna Slice: This slice is cooked in vodka sauce, topped with pepperoni cups, and drizzled in hot chili oil. While the other slices have an appearance identical to an isosceles triangle, the nonna looks like a scalene triangle. Regardless, it is the taste, not the shape, that matters. Both slices were a home run! They had excellent undercarriage and no flop, which is why they were very crispy. The ratio of sauce was proportioned perfectly and they were loaded with toppings. I was also pleased they each slice was served on a glass plate. The interior has a nice ambiance. A small casual style dining area is off to the left of the pizzeria. The main dining room is located on the right side, where customers can order three course dinners and bring their own bottle of alcohol. Owner Andrew made me feel right at home. He welcomed me into the restaurant and I am really looking forward to returning for a nice dinner in the main dining area. #cousinspizza #cousinspizzanorwood #drunkangrynonnaslice #drunkangrynonna #capreseslice

Reservation was ready, we picked our table, and despite brutal cold weather (and door drafts every time someone walked in), service and pacing were great. They even made the seafood salad from my last visit by special request -- octopus, calamari, shrimp, arugula, lightly seasoned, great portion. Entrées were both strong: * Linguini vongole -- clean white broth, great pasta, solid portion * Pork chop with sweet/hot peppers, broccoli rabe, potatoes -- excellent chop, grilled then finished with tomato sauce and peppers (I usually prefer oil-sautéed peppers, but this still worked well) Interesting crowd difference: last time was a Friday bar crowd, this Saturday was a packed dining room and quieter bar. So I booked it for my wife's birthday and was excited to take her and our two kids. This is not a family friendly place. My kids are very well mannered and yet it seemed not welcomed there. Clearly you're under a ticking clock (1.5 hr limit)and the wait staff is impatient, the menu is dense which is great because there's a lot of interesting and unique dishes. But they don't give you time to understand and decide. We had soft shell crab, was very good, fried zucchini blossoms were decent but needed salt, the meatballs were good but needed salt. Pizza was good. I had the porchetta which was good. The squid ink pasta was solid. Wine was great value at $60 a bottle for all Italian wine. We had the Chardonnay and it was the highlight of the meal. But it was hard to enjoy it with the vibe that we somehow were imposing. Honestly it was all male servers plus the owner and I think a woman's touch for hospitality would go a loooong way here to help this place be more convivial. The weirdest and off putting ambiance thing is that they were playing country music which did not vibe with the joint at all. We didn't stay for desert, and glad we didn't.
