We went on a Sunday afternoon for lunch recently to celebrate my mother in law's birthday. It was my first time there. I was very impressed. The restaurant is beautiful and has great views. The service was outstanding. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. Most of us had different whole fish. I had a sea bass which they served whole and deboned. It was fresh and delicious. My daughter had the skirt steak which was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. They did a really nice celebration when the birthday desert was served. Spectacular views can't make up for rude service. Staff - hosts included - could use a refresher course in hospitality training. The waiter we had was impatient and down right rude. We had never been there and he knew from asking on greeting us. After placing our meal order he told us we needed to modify it because a main entree was required for the table we had reserved by the water. (BTW, that specification wasn't on the online reservation request, but whatever). He proceeded to edit out the items he thought we didn't want to eat, and instead of backing off to let us make new selections and returning, he stayed at the table and told us to "just order" the recommended fish of the evening. The junior waiter was way more attentive and kind to us than this jerk. Food was ok, little under seasoned. Won't be returning. ADA note: This place doesn't seem very wheelchair accessible - tight corners trying to get around the dining room tables, there is a step up at the main door and then again to get up to go towards the bar/main dining area. Overall, the food felt overpriced for the quality we received. The service also felt rushed throughout the meal. When we asked our server for a cocktail recommendation, they suggested a drink, but when we followed up by asking what was in it, we were simply told to check the menu. It wasn't the level of service we'd expect from a restaurant presenting itself as an upscale dining experience. I am beyond impressed with Trata on the River's stunning decor and atmosphere, service, and quality food. Once you enter the spacious restaurant, you immediately feel like you're in Mykonos. No matter where you are seated, you have a great view of the water. There are several open bars for you to enjoy a drink before being seated for dinner. The restaurant offers valet. I arrived for a 5:30 reservation, and the service was top notch. Our food came out quickly and we were checked on throughout dinner with great attention and care. All of our appetizers were refreshing and delicious without feeling stuffed before dinner. The appetizers I ordered included the Saganaki bites with honey and watermelon, zucchini and eggplant chips with tzatziki, and fried calamari & fried shrimp. My family and I ordered fish for all of our entrees. Very fresh and the presentation was pleasing to the eye. The salmon was paired with a lentil salad. The Chilean sea bass was paired with wild rice, asparagus, and sausage. The Halibut was paired with broccolini. We ordered mocktails - the sunset in Santorini was a favorite! Lastly, we ended with dessert. We loved every dessert ordered. The key lime special was out of this world! Key lime typically isn't my go to dessert. This was so light and paired with pineapple. Came in for a fathers Day dinner, server was prompt with the drinks. But waited almost 2 hours for our food, we came in 5:30, food did not come till 7:18p. (It's understandable because it was very busy, but server could have went to us and let us know that food will take longer) Got some drinks, it was okay not that great. The drinks was mostly ice. Ambiance was okay, can't hear us talking as the music was so loud. Food was fine not that great, sea bass tasted like old. And to know we have tasted a lot of different fish (sea bass in particular) and never complained ever, this was the first time. We complained then and manager came over and said their fish are delivered daily and fresh. He offered if we want something and we said it's all fine. Their steak was good though hubby enjoyed it! Overall it was a very disappointing visit. The food was not enjoyable and tasted poorly prepared. The service was extremely slow, and the wait made the experience even worse. It is a winding road to get to the restaurant, and once inside, you're transported to an elegant setting. The building itself is white with with a blue door and accents and the walkway from the entrance to the dining area is decorated with sculptures in recessed cubbies in the wall. The main dining room is spacious and inviting with a lush ceiling and touches of warm, golden furnishings. It was bustling on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Diners were seated indoors and outdoors. We didn't get a chance to see the outdoor space but on a hot and sunny day, my family was fine and comfortable in the shade indoors. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. Once I was seated and waiting for the rest of my party, he advised the time for last orders to be placed. My party of 6 ordered almost every appetizer and several of the limited number of mains offered on the lunch menu. The appetizers came out as they were ready. The beet salad and lobster salad came out first and were refreshing. The saganaki and watermelon appetizer was an interesting pairing and surprisingly delightful. We ordered two of the grilled octopus as it's usually a favorite within my group when dining at a Greek or Mediterranean establishment. Unfortunately, the octopus came chopped in small pieces and was uninteresting. IMHO this dish is not worth the price or the calories. Of the set of 4 spreads/dips, all were tasty and went nicely with the accompanying pita bread. We ended up doubling on this. The crispy shrimp and calamari, eggplant and zucchini chips, and the Greek meatballs were satisfying and a hit with everyone. Despite the disappointment with the grilled octopus, overall the appetizers were much more impressive than the entrees. For our mains, we got 2 of the filet mignon with eggs, the sirloin burger, the Lountza sandwich, the chicken souvlaki, the crispy shrimp wrap, and the shrimp roll. If we had to rank these dishes, the chicken would top the list, followed by the sirloin burger, and the rest would be last. Consistency in preparation and flavor profiles of the dishes is lacking. For example, we requested the filets cooked medium, however one filet was medium in some parts, medium rare in others. Personally, I enjoy medium rare and ate those pieces. As for the other filet, it was medium rare and borderline rare and inedible for my party. We requested additional heat for the dish, which the kitchen accommodated, but the meat came back basically well done SMH. While the chicken and burger were juicy and appetizing, the other dishes, albeit topped with many ingredients, were bland. Perhaps the kitchen was overwhelmed, which resulted in receiving our entrees about two hours after placing the order and the poor, or at least decline in quality of, execution of our dishes. Considering the restaurant has been open almost two years, it is normal to expect experience in managing the weekend crowds. While we were advised about the hard stop on placing orders, it was a missed opportunity for our waiter to check if we wanted to add desserts to our meal. No warning or follow-up was made as the cutoff time was approaching. Normally, I would praise the experience and service, but the final straw was in the handling of leftovers and with the valet. We had several unfinished or untouched dishes we wanted packed to go. Upon checking the containers at home, not everything was packed. When waiting outside for our cars, one of our cars was already pulled up with the door open and ready to be driven away. Problem was, the car belonged to my sister, who was in the restroom at the time and had her ticket. Anyone could've driven her car away. Thankfully the valet cooperated and drove the car to the side and my sister retrieved it without incident. Overall, the experience was lengthy and off-putting. If you need a beautiful space with a good selection of small bites and have hours to spare, e.g. a special event, then this place is for you. If you are interested in a full meal, and have only 2-3 hours for a meal, this is not the place for you. read more

I've been here a handful of times over the past year, including twice in the last two weeks--so this isn't a one-off experience. Here are my thoughts: The staff, overall, aren't very helpful--service tends to be slow, and the attitude can come off as unfriendly. The food is, at best, mediocre and definitely overpriced. $40 for a skirt steak à la carte $12 for a side of corn $55 for an overcooked piece of tuna At those prices, you expect a lot more than what's being delivered. My recommendation: stop in for a drink and maybe a small bite, enjoy the views, and then go somewhere else for dinner. Or better yet, come here after dinner elsewhere and just treat it as a drinks spot before heading home. That said, it's not bad enough to swear off completely--just know what you're getting into. And, funny enough, if you're thinking about trying their other location, Elia, you can expect the same food and the same level of service there too. First two times I was here over the past year (2025) the food was delicious, fresh, and portions were abundant. However, a recent visit for lunch for my friend's birthday and the menu has changed.... but not for the best. I live for a good Horiatiki salad (cucumber & tomatoes w feta cheese) and I attached a photo of what is now being served in its place; The entire dish included 4 slices of tomato (it was skinned) and 4 cucumber slices. There is no ambiance, violinist, conga line, water view, or high quality napkins in the ladies room that can fill the void of the Horiatiki salad. There is no legitimate salad even offered on the menu anymore. The table across from us had 3 men who also were unhappy with their steak. Not sure what changes are transpiring but they aren't well-informed. When you remove staple dishes from Mediterranean cuisine, and are then not receptive to customer feedback -- you're dealing with a recipe for disaster. read more

My husband and I recently dined at Trata on the Hudson. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful, and the views are stunning. The service was friendly and attentive, but unfortunately the food was a major disappointment, especially considering the prices. We started with the ceviche special. While it tasted good, the portion was extremely small and contained very little seafood for $35. I ordered the Yellowfin Tuna for $55 (pictured). I requested it medium-rare, but it came out closer to medium and was very dry. The cilantro garnish was wilted, and the presentation was disappointing for a dish at that price point. It certainly didn't look like a $55 entrée. My husband ordered the flank steak with fries. The steak was just okay, not particularly memorable, and the presentation was lacking. The fries were overcooked. The server asked if we wanted a spicy sauce for the fries, but never mentioned there would be an additional $5 charge. That should have been disclosed before bringing it to the table. Another surprise was the credit card processing fee if you don't pay with cash. This was actually our fourth visit, and unfortunately it will be our last. Trata has an incredible location and is a wonderful place to enjoy drinks and maybe an appetizer while taking in the beautiful views. However, the food quality has consistently failed to match the prices, and after giving it multiple chances, we don't feel it's worth returning. read more

Wonderful birthday dinner for a dear friend! Impressive space, overlooking the Tappan Zee bridge! They just set up the outdoor areas for the Spring and Summer months so we sat in the section with gas heaters all around to maintain comfort in March's unpredictable weather. The ladies started with martinis, my buddy and I had their concoction of an Old Fashioned called "Two Faces of January". Really well made drink ! For starters we enjoyed the zucchini chips with tzatziki - a must! We also enjoyed a generous portion of grilled octopus. For dinner - their pasta dish has some nice spice to it and the shrimp are enormous! The special tonight - pan seared halibut with lobster risotto - was excellent! Dessert consisted of their Greek yogurt with sour cherries, honey and pistachios, and baklava. Everything was great! Service was very attentive and staff were all knowledgeable about the restaurant's menu. Definitely looking to return during the summer! We went to Trata to celebrate my sons graduation from the FDNY Academy with lunch. We were a a party of 7. First I must say what a beautiful place from the entrance to the dining room and the outside patio. And the views of the river and bridge are spectacular. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. They offer a Prix lunch option which most of us ordered from you get a choice of an appetizer, an entree and a dessert. Sorry we were so hungry that we didn't take photos of the food but everything was delicious. We had the trio of dips with pita bread, branzino, chicken souvlaki, skirt steak and a sirloin burger. Also two had cocktails that were deliciously prepared and one mocktail that was also wonderful. We will definitely be back soon. Hopefully on a day that's not so horribly hot and humid! read more

My experience at Trata on the river was not what I expected at all. It is a beautiful restaurant but you cant eat beautiful. The drinks were good and so were the appetizers. I ordered a sea bass as an entree and my boyfriend ordered a seafood pasta. My sea bass arrived raw and my boyfriend's pasta was not edible, it tasted completely disgusting. I sent my sea bass back and when i got it back, it was cooked but completely unseasoned. I did not eat it. It was also my birthday dinner and they did not sing me happy birthday. The server dropped off a piece of cake and walked away while the table next to us had the whole staff singing happy birthday right before me. My birthday dinner ended up being terrible. I went on the evening of July 20th (Monday) so it wasnt even a busy weekend night. They at least didnt charge us for the entrees. I will not be returning. Do better. read more

Meh. Just meh. This place is a complete facade. It's stunning inside--like actually beautiful. Great decor and ambiance. But beyond that it's just blah. Service is low quality. We saw our actual waiter twice. Once to take our order and once to give us a dessert menu. There are about 700 food and water runners and we had like 7 of them come bring our food and refill our waters. Unfortunately Because of that we kept getting different water. Sparkling, then topped off with still, then poured more sparkling, etc. it was a mess of diluted sparkling water and we got charged for like 3 bottles of sparkling we never actually ordered. It took about 45min to get our appetizers and then over an hour to get our meals. It was a 2.5hr dinner and it was not crowded. The food is nothing special. They boast being spectacular in regard to fresh seafood, but when I asked for more details about the origin of the oysters the waiter didn't know. Hamachi app was the best dish we had all night. Presentation of the food was average overall. It tasted fine, nothing worth more than 3 starts. Not a single dish was spectacular or worth coming back for or worth what we paid for. It wasn't bad, just wasn't great and wasn't worth the $300 bill. The bathrooms were disgusting! Messy, wet, sloppy, no toilet paper, unattended. For a place that had 638393 servers, they could assign at least ONE of them to check on the bathrooms hourly. They are oddly specific and strict on their dress code. Birthday dinner for a dear friend. Valet parking team is active and respectful. Good job managing the arrival and departure of the patrons. Welcoming greetings when we arrived. My wife and I were ushered to the bar area as we were some of the first to arrive from our party. We ordered the Sangria which was really good. Well done bar staff!!! Once the entire party arrived we were seated at a table on the outskirts of the restaurant overlooking the river and bridge. Stunning views, tastefully decorated restaurant and dutiful wait staff. Trata on the River is one of those spots that grabs you the moment you walk in. The ambiance is romantic and cozy without feeling cramped . Spacious dining , warm fireplaces throughout, and those gorgeous seaside and bridge views that make the whole place feel like a getaway. Add in truly stellar, white-glove service and you're already off to a great start. We went with the prix fixe menu. It opened with the Trata spreads with pita, this included tzatziki, roasted eggplant, and a fava purée. The pita was fresh, warm, and full of flavor, easily one of the standout bites of the night. Next came the lamb and beef keftedes, Greek meatballs that were cooked well and really tasty. They were served with thick-cut baguette, but honestly the pita paired much better. The petite skirt steak was the only real miss for me, it needed more seasoning, and the chimichurri leaned sweet instead of herby. The roasted potatoes and spinach on the side were solid though. The organic chicken souvlaki was slightly overcooked, but the chopped salad and fries that came with it were excellent. Their Sunset in Santorini mocktail was a bit too sweet for my taste. Trata has a lot more on the menu, including a full raw bar, so next time I'll probably explore outside the prix fixe. Even with a few misses, the service, atmosphere, and many of the dishes absolutely make it a place I'll be returning to. read more

As a former small business owner I like to give honest criticism to help a place like Trata improve for a much better dining experience. They created a beautiful space with great river views. Our server was friendly, but needed to be more attentive IMO. Now here's where things fall off, the food. We had the calamari, not crispy at all. They were tender but cut too think for my liking. I had the lamb chops, 4 for $45. Way too thin and inconsistent cook on them. My wife has the Lup De Mare, found bones and stopped counting at 11, tough to eat. For the prices they charge they need to clean the fish properly. They do have a warning on the menu about bones in the fish and they make a best efforts to clean but come on. It was almost inedible. Chocolate cake dessert was dry and lacked flavor. Last big miss was my wife's drink, tequila with club soda...$22!! read more

My family and I came to eat for Father's day and 3 of our group of 9 were not there yet and we were told to wait until they arrived, despite there being a 90-year-old man with us. As well as this, we were told be charged $200 dollars if we wanted to cancel our reservation! Absurdity. After we were finally seated, we had to wait 2 and a half hours for our food. When we finally got our food, the seafood was okay but the steak was rubber. I could barely cut it with my knife and for $40 it was horrible. My wife and I went to Trava's last night with a good friend for her 65 birthday. We heard good things about it and it exceeded our expectations. This is in Piermont and it's usually hard to park here, bot no worries, they have valet parking. As you enter the foyer, you're greeted by a host, who's really on top of the whole seen, and he has 3 adorable helpers. I hadn't realized at that point how big this place was and to keep the tables turning isn't an easy task. When we made the reservation, we asked for a table by the water, and although they said they couldn't promise it. We got it. We were immediately greeted by our server, who asked about our water preference and brought us a drink/ wine menu. We ordered Grey goose with soda drinks and relaxed with the view and great company. We ordered 3 apps to share and 3 entrees. For apps we had Greek meatballs (forgot what there called) watermelon salad w feta creamed cheese, and the avacodo crabmeat salad. All good, no exceptionally large a portion, but never gave us or told us the pita was extra. I was disappointed with that. We ordered 2 lavraki and 1 snapper with Horta and lemon potato wedges. All very good. This was our first time here, so I wish our server told us the snapper was for 2, so we ended up with 4 serve rings of fish. By now we had our second round with dinner. He did mention the weight, but it was in grams, not in pounds For desert we had a chocolate cake with ice cream, and they brought out one of those sparklers and helped us sing HB. By the way we told them in advance and they had a happy bday note on the table. Clearly this place is so organized. They had a guy walking around with a iPad type thing gauging the speed of each table. The drinks here are very good, I highly recommend the rose sangria. We shared a couple of appetizers and my favorite was the phyllo sticks and dips. For our entrees we ordered different dishes including the sea bass, scallops, and steaks. The filet was very dry, I wanted medium and it was cooked well done. We've been to their other restaurant, Elia, which we enjoy and decided to take a ride to their new place. We had 8:30 reservations for a party of 6 and were taken on time. They have a few different rooms for dining, all looked beautiful. Food- apps- filet mignon bites, spreads, eggplant chips, grilled Octopus, calamari, special ceviche, and Brussel sprouts, tuna tartar. Can't go wrong with any of them. Dinner- halibut special and lamb. Live bongoes and violinist livened up the late night, some people were dancing near their tables. Great place to celebrate anything. Ambiance was great and food was good ! However , I was not happy with the waiter , he quickly rattled off the specials but failed to give the prices . I asked the price for my halibut ($65), ok and then when speaking to the waiter my boyfriend asked about the surf and turf , the waited pushed how great it was esp the colossal prawns , he never gave the price but asked what he would like as a side , we were never told that it would be extra ! Imagine our surprise when we got the bill , the entree was $115 !!!! And the side was $12 extra . Shame on him for not informing us of this . And you would think that if your meal , which was 2 colossal shrimp and a piece of filet mignon , would include the side if you are charging that price . Wanted to love this place because the setting is honestly beautiful. Right on the water, really nice decor, great atmosphere visually. That's what brought us there in the first place. Unfortunately, the actual dining experience didn't come close to matching the location. The food was just bland across the board. Appetizers, entrees, dessert -- everything looked better than it tasted. And it wasn't just us. The tables around us were complaining too. The guy next to us literally sent his lamb chops back because they had "no flavor" and asked if the chef forgot the oregano and lemon. I heard the whole conversation because the tables are packed so tightly together you're basically dining with strangers. Definitely not the place for a quiet or intimate dinner. Our waiter was actually very good, but the overall vibe from some of the staff felt off. There was a table nearby with a group of younger girls, maybe college age, and from the second they sat down you could tell the older waiter assigned to them was annoyed. He immediately told them everyone had to order entrees, and seemed visibly irritated that they were drinking water instead of ordering the overpriced cocktails and wine. Honestly, it came across like he was more concerned about the tip he was going to get from that table than actually making them feel welcome. You could almost sense his frustration that a premium waterfront table for 8 was "wasted" on a group of young girlfriends instead of a big-spending party. I honestly felt bad for them. To top it all off, both my wife and I were sick the next day. She had fish, I had steak, and the only thing we shared was dessert. Here's the full review: I've been waiting on Trata on the River to open ever since I first found their new Instagram account. I knew it was the same owner of Elia in East Rutherford and I love their food. The menu at Trata is very similar to Elia's. Many of the same dishes but with minor differences. They even had the Elia leather-bound cocktail menu! Lol We had an 8:30pm reservation and we're seated close to the DJ booth. During the live entertainment around 8:45/9, it did get quite loud and hard to have a conversation but it only lasted for a short while. They also had a smoke machine so it made it a little hazy and got to be too much after a while. Our waiter, Daniel, was very nice and attentive. He was excellent! He put in our drinks right away while we decided on food. We ordered the Phyllo Feta Sticks and Grilled Octopus as apps. For dinner, two of us went with the Shrimp & Scallops while someone else had the Chilean Sea Bass. I found myself constantly comparing to Elia on everything. I will say though that the feta sticks were better at Trata than Elia. They had some kind of blueberry compote and chutney and it was so flavorful! However, Elia makes a better octopus. The shrimp & scallops meal was very good but the carrots were not cooked long enough, they were hard. We didn't order any desserts because we were full so got some espresso martinis to do the trick! Overall, I will say that Trata on the River is a step up for Rockland. It's almost too fancy for the area but Rockland county needs better restaurants. This space used to be Pier 701 and I had only ever gone there for the view. With this transformation, I can now say I would come back for the view along with way better food and dining experience! Very disappointing Mother's Day experience. We specifically requested outdoor seating and asked again immediately after being seated if we could move. We were told no, yet multiple parties who arrived after us were seated in the exact area we requested. It felt dismissive and unfair. I've never left bad reviews about any restaurants online but I can't stop it this time as what I experienced the other night was the most unpleasant ever in my life. My friend reserved a table for a special occasion with a special request of riverside view seating. We arrived as a group of 5. Two more people were on the way and we were told that we had to wait at the bar until everybody showed up. I totally understand some restaurants require the whole party to arrive to be seated. Usually when a restaurant has a long wait list, it is really needed to make it all work. But it was not the case at all and at least, they should have let my friend know at the point of the reservation if it is their unique policy (I have to say it is unique if it is not to deal with a lot of guests waiting in line.) She would have gladly reserved a different time if she was informed it in advance. Anyway we were escorted to a table for 6 with another chair was just hastily squeezed in. I couldn't understand why a reserved table hadn't been set up by then, and how it could be a table for 6 plus additional chair. As the table was at a dark, narrow corner without any view, we gently asked if we could move to a table near the window. The space was huge with lots of empty tables new the window side which were not occupied all evening.l but our request was just ignored with an excuse of "reserved for another party" I was also very upset that the servers opened sparking water bottles without asking. Actually it happened before so I had to stop at the 4th bottle at that time, too. (All of the glasses were more than half full.) Opening a charged bottle of water WITHOUT ASKING has never been a formal restaurant norm. I've never seen a fine dining opening another bottled of charged water without asking. What I found later is that the restaurant charched $135 for $60 a bottle wine. What really pissed me off is the response of the restaurant. The owner responded to complaint reviews that serving sparkling water as bottles is standard in most restaurants do and Riverview seating couldn't be guaranteed even requested in advance, which was completely not the answers about what we brought up with. Instead of a sincere apology with refund the overcharged portion, the owner ended up with threatening me to go for a legal action blaming my review was not only fabricated but also defamatory. They definitely have their own standard to evaluate their customers if they should welcome them with warm hospitality or be very condescending. And it's highly possible to be mistreated in case you don't meet their welcoming guest criteria. Even this one star is to write the review. read more

Extremely disappointing from start to finish. Our birthday dinner for seven was mishandled with rude, dismissive service. Despite requesting a waterfront table more than a week in advance, we were seated in a dark corner while among a few, one waterfront table sat empty throughout the evening. We repeatedly asked to move and were told it was reserved, only to learn later that those reservation had been canceled. The cleanliness was unacceptable. Multiple plates and wine glasses arrived visibly stained, and some replacements were not clean either. To make matters worse, we later discovered that a bottle of wine that typically sells for around $60 was charged at $135. When concerns were raised, management showed no apology, no accountability, and no interest in making things right. After spending nearly $1,000, we expected hospitality, professionalism, and basic cleanliness. Instead, we received poor service, dirty tableware, and an indifferent response from management. The waiter & the staff was very unattentive Kept taking half full drinks to replace them with new ones just so we can add more drinks to our bill while we would leave the table to smoke or use the restroom. The food was at best just ok, some things had no flavor so I didn't even understand what I was eating. Zero Flavor, creativity or taste. The quality of food and taste at best should have been $100 a person not $250 a person. After telling them that its a bday and asking about dancing they still gave us a shitty table in what looked like a senior citizens vip area (We specifically called and booked ahead to make sure we got a good area) " they lied about dancing . They said dancing starts at 9:00pm THERE'S NO DANCING! Just vibe music which was actually great but dont call it dancing! Turns into a little bit of a club atmosphere around 8/9pm. The food was very good the lobster pasta special was delicious! Others thought their food was "ok" Service was great. I booked a table for 7 for my birthday, requesting a scenic view twice during booking and confirmation.5 of us arrived and asked to be seated since we were hungry and ready to order immediately. The staff initially told us to wait at the bar because our full party wasn't there yet (one was on the way, and another was arriving at 7 PM). However, after they checked with the manager as requested, they did escort us to a table. We were crammed into a 6-person corner table with an extra chair squeezed in. When we noticed empty tables by the window and asked if we could move, the staff flatly refused, claiming those tables were fully booked.There were 3 empty window tables. Eventually, 2 were filled, but 1 remained completely vacant until we left. When I questioned this at checkout, the receptionist lied to my face, saying the tables were occupied. I told her, "I have eyes," and walked out. The front-of-house management is dishonest, unwelcoming, and treats certain guests with subtle discrimination. 37 of us in a private room for lunch on a gorgeous day. Pretty much the entire review is 5/5, I will note where it isn't. 5/5 valet parking was key because the entire town has no parking and people park in the middle of the road, be careful driving there! No idea where the owner finds spots but they do. The deck is 5/5, what a perfect location. Friends of ours were tempted to drive their boat from Long Island to this event, you easily could dock and eat. The many, many apps our host ordered were spectacular, my favorite was the hummus and the octopus, but I always feel bad eating those little guys... Can't really think of any negatives, maybe the bathroom? The floor started to get sloppy towards the end, but that might be more of an us problem (free drinks for 37) and less of a restaurant problem. Owner came over and talked to us for a long time, I asked what the place was like before he arrived, would love a picture or two either in the bathroom or somewhere else just to fill in the mental picture of how much he transformed the place. Oh it has a DJ table ? Ok sounds like a fun place to visit at night and the two bars were very attractive. Always a fabulous time here. Unfortunately I can't speak on the food as yet because I've just gone for drinks with friends. The place is just beautiful. I really enjoy the decor and I tried some new cocktails. The pineapple martini was delicious and made by José who is stellar at mixing drinks. I also had a spicy tequila based martini which slapped pretty hard. I can already see for this venue will be one if my favorite haunts. I highly recommend. read more

I had lunch there this past Saturday and the wait for the food was ridiculous. Over an 90 minutes plus wait to get the food. We had 2 young children waiting which made it worse. The waiter was very nice but had no clue as to what was going on in the kitchen Some of the dishes were good but on the whole it was ffar from a wow. We were about to order something on Uber Eats that is how bad the wait was! Lastly, when I made the reservation I asked for a table out by the water or at least on the patio. I was told they will note my request but can not promise it. Not only was a table being held for quite sometime by the water there were many tables that were empty on the patio and could have been combined to accommodate a party of 8. My advice go to have a drink at the bar for the view and leave it at that! read more
