Great welcome and seating, excellent food and overall service. Only complaint was that once the food was delivered only saw the waiter or busboy perhaps once and never got grated cheese on my meal and was never asked if everything was okay or if we needed anything else and I had to flag down the waiter for another bottle of water. But, I guess, in fairness to them, it was Father's Day and packed. Luckily we were sitting outside. The dining room was wall to wall people. I dine at Bellissimo's at least once or twice a month! The lunch special is fantastic. The soups are delicious as well as their salad! The entrees are very good also. From the minute you walk through the front door until you leave you are greeted by their very friendly staff. You will not find a wait staff any friendlier than here! mediocre but wildly popular italian spot. we hadnt been to this restaurant in over 10 years and decided to check it out again. when we first walked in i was surprised by how busy this place was. please note that they dont take reservations for parties smaller than 6 so we had to wait to be seated. the staff at the front of the house were very nice and the wait went quickly. since our last visit, the restaurant has expanded. i have to say the tables are very close together and really jammed into the restaurant. this place is so busy it's almost chaotic. the service staff is really slammed and running from table trying to take orders and get food out. this definitely takes away from the dining experience. the food is just okay. I've had much better at many other places. i wanted something sweet so we ordered a lava cake for dessert. something about the temperature of the dessert made me feel like the cake was microwaved. sure enough before we left the restaurant i needed to use the bathroom. on my way to the back of the restaurant i saw the wait staff preparing coffee and all of the desserts were in pre packaged boxes and stored in the refrigerator. im glad that others are enjoying this restaurant, but it just wasn't for me. will likely not return. read more

Dining at Bellosimo was a poor experience. The food was lousy and the service was sub par. The chicken and cheese was super saturated with salt not to mention the chicken must have been the lowest quality available. It took 1.5 hours to bring us the wrong orders and omitting certain parts of our orders. Management kept saying they were sorry but they were busy. The food took so long some of the family had to have it wrapped up and was not able to eat with the entire family. The stern and non hospitable nature of management were extraordinary fast to clear the plates from people who were not finished eating. read more

Excellent Restaurant! The place is nicely decorated and has a beautiful separate area for small parties. The food is great. I had the Chicken Rolatini with asparagus and mashed potatoes. The chicken and the light cream sauce were absolutely delicious. The potatoes were sort of whipped and perfect with the chicken. I just had to clean my plate, it was just that good. My wife and MIL had the Rigatoni Bolanese, which was also great. My FIL had the Chicken Marsala, which was also delicious. The service was impeccable. The place is also BYOB, so feel free to bring your favorite bottle of wine. All around excellent experience, can't wait to go back. read more

I went to Bellissimo's not too long ago to celebrate my mom's birthday. We got stuffed rigatoni, pasta in marinara sauce, and chicken francese. I don't like giving bad reviews but the food wasn't good. The stuffed rigatoni was soggy and didn't taste good. The owner knew we were not pleased with the stuffed rigatoni and nobody ate it but still got charged for it. The best part of the meal was that their service was friendly and fast and the bread was warm and tasty. But other than that, their tomato sauce wasn't good. My daughter got the kids pasta dish and it was so much smaller than the adult size and it was very expensive. $14 for a kids pasta. The chicken francese tasted like it should have been cooked more. read more

I went here for Valentine's Day, and it was just lovely. We got bread (warm and crispy), house salads, they poured us up some (BYOB) wine. I got the lobster ravioli and it was seriously delicious...I would highly recommend. My boyfriend got the rigatoni bolognese and he enjoyed as well. Service was shockingly super fast despite it being a very busy dinner hour. The prices were not extreme either. No complaints. read more

One of my favorite restaurants! Came here the other night for dinner after not being here in 2 years because of moving. The salad that comes prior to the entree is always so amazing! We got the regular fried calamari and an Asian inspired fried calamari which was delicious. Minor kick on the glaze but nothing too bad. I got the eggplant parmigiana which I always enjoy because it's not fried with pasta on the side. I tried some of my husbands chicken rollatini special which was also delicious. Got a bunch of cakes for dessert to share and my favorite as always was the chocolate mousse cake! I had my bridal shower here a few years ago and the service was amazing for the event. For appetizers.We had tender fried calamari, burratta w a delicious pesto sauce and cherry tomatoes, mozzarella & prosciutto that was accompanied by the sweetest roasted Peppers. For our main courses we had an absolutely amazing special of the day which was a grouper dish, fettuccine Alfredo , which was very tasty but could have used more cheese, very tender veal scallopine, chicken Francese which had an abundance of delicious lemon sauce , stuffed rigatoni and the table favorite chicken Murphy which was amazing. The wait staff was very attentive and polite. We ate outside bc there was party going on inside but it was a beautiful day so it was very nice. Each meal came with a very nice individual salad. I was visiting family, and they decided that we should get takeout from Bellissimo, a local Italian spot that they had recently discovered and enjoyed. When I accompanied them inside to place our order, I was in awe of the upscale, sophisticated dining room and friendly service. Our meal was ready within the restaurant's 20-minute approximation and accurately included all of our selected items. We went back to their home to hungrily devour our substantial order. First, we ate the complimentary salads that accompanied our entrees. The side house salad was very basic, including lettuce, carrots, and red onion. My lettuce was turning a bit brown, but the well-seasoned vinaigrette that came on the side helped improve the status of the salad. Next, we shared a few pastas, including a "side order" of the Rigatoni Bolognese and a full portion of the Gluten-Free and Vegan Pasta. The side pasta dish was half the size of the full order, but was very generous in and of itself. The meat sauce was hearty and flavorful, but could have been a bit more seasoned. The vegan dish included sautéed mushrooms, tomatoes, onions, black olives, basil, garlic, and a touch of white wine, in a light tomato sauce. As with the other pasta course, I thought the sauce could have used some additional herbs and spices, and it was a bit too sugary. Both homemade pastas were also not served al dente and were more on the mushy side. My entrée, the Chicken Balsamico, on the other hand, was fabulous! It included 2 large, tender, and thinly-pounded chicken breasts that had been sautéed in a balsamic reduction with shitake mushrooms and sun-dried tomatoes. The rich mushrooms and tangy tomatoes were perfect complements to the poultry. As if these vegetables and starter salad were not enough, sides of roasted potatoes and sautéed mixed vegetables were plated with the chicken. Both of those items were terrific! Bellissimo was a gorgeous restaurant with gracious service and enjoyable food that I would certainly try again, though I would love to dine there next time. read more

Delicious as ever! Back in town for just one day, stopped for a lunch/ dinner break and loved every morsel. The guys are still doing a great job. Awesome experience! We were there for a surprise celebration for our son and his fiancée's engagement. There were 9 adults and 1 baby and they accommodated us so well. We were all so impressed with this restaurant from making the reservations, to the table setup when we arrived to the entire staff of servers who were so pleasant, helpful and attentive. They made the celebration even more special. Everything ran so smoothly. They even assisted us with letting us know when the guests of honor arrived and showed them to our table where we were all waiting to capture the surprise. The food was out of this world. Fantastic! I'm not an italian lover but I do have a a select two dishes I enjoy from time to time. This place hit it right on the head. My shrimp francese was perfect. The shrimp cocktail was big and the horseradish with it was on point. Service was super friendly and attentive but not too bothersome, just right. This week I decided to venture to this awesome Italian restaurant for vino and conversation. Bellissimo is tucked away in the corner of a small shopping mall on Kinderkamack and Franklin in Montvale, NJ. There is plenty of parking available. The food and professional staff are just simply amazing if I can add an extra star I would. You can bring your own and no cork fee. It was a delightful dining experience as they make you feel special. Restaurants like this will survive. Impeccably clean and friendly. We enjoyed the "Cappellini Bellissimo" (shrimp and arugula sautéed in a light tomato sauce) and Vitello Pizzaiola (sauteed mushrooms in a light marinara sauce). Grazie!!! read more
