You order at the counter and then take a seat. The avocado toast felt elevated, with thin slices of bread, arugula, feta cheese, and a nicely cooked egg. The Baja chickpea burger was also tasty and not dry on ciabatta bread ($13). They offer lattes and other such drinks. The staff is friendly and welcoming. There's also a discount if you pay by cash. Apparently the chef competed against Bobby Flay on a Food Network show and won, which is a claim to fame. There's street parking and a parking lot across the street. Also nearby is a Kings supermarket and Walgreens. Short walk into the main strip of town. read more

My husband and I were looking for a local place to hangout, and found this cute location at the corner. The menu had several healthy and delicious choices that included smoothies, acai bowls, coffees, and cold pressed juices as well as salads, soups, and freshly baked goods. We were greeted by a young, friendly staff member, and I ordered a Berry Delicious Smoothie which was true to its name. We sat inside by the window in a seating area enough to fit twelve customers to enjoy our drinks. We were even offered a delicious homemade chocolate chip cookie! A definite sweet surprise. This is my wife's favorite place to order food and I completely understand why. The food is fresh, healthy, and delicious! Most of the time, we grab a juice (her) or a smoothie (me), all of which taste great. An even better option is one of the fruit bowls. The bowl with acai is incredible, so much flavor. Keep in mind that because everything is made to order, you will have to wait for your food or drink. Its worth it. Rockin Roots also does catering! Twice we have ordered half trays of various pasta or grain salads. Each one was a big hit and full of healthy ingredients. Examples include a quinoa salad with raisins and feta, and a pasta salad with sundried tomatoes, olives, and artichoke hearts. I think each half tray was about $30? I ate them but did not literally hand over the cash. Oh yea, paying cash gets you a discount, so do that! read more

Workers wore face mask, gloves, they had contactless payment and respected social distancing with customers waiting outside so it's not crowded inside. Plenty of street parking and a public park down the block for more seatings if needed. I ordered the pulled jackfruit quesadilla which was a tad soggy but with arugula salad and guacamole on top of the quesadilla? Was a given. Flavor was great but was very messy to eat. Husband ordered the Baja burger which was jammed packed with veggies and flavor. It was also oily feeling but come on it's flavor heaven haha Son ordered soba noodle bowl, he enjoyed it as much as a kid would love his veggies. But shockingly he ate half the bowl. Veggies were nice and fresh with a crunch even with all the peanut dressing. We had the guavarita smoothie, it was the PERFECT mix of sweet and sour? I can't really explain it. You would understand if you had fresh guava aka it was a great mix of fruits added. Overall I'm definitely coming back to try all the other food options and smoothies. This place is AMAZING! Their Mango/Pineapple smoothie is WAY better than Jamba juices Mango-A-Go-Go (which is my go to fruit smoothie drink). The food here is just so fresh and well done. Rockin Roots just opened but I have been there about a half dozen times already. I do watch my weight so I am very mindful of the fact that a lot of the stuff may be high in calories, but I substitute lunch for one of their delicious shakes as I am a local hairdresser and sometimes I cannot sit down and eat a large lunch so one of their shakes suffices. I am going to be walking there now for the PB&J shake, this is the second time I ordered the PB&J. ItDoes have 3 tablespoons of peanut butter in it so be aware that it's about 10 weight watchers points. The 10 points are worth it for me. I went to Rockin Roots this morning to meet a friend for coffee. I was immediately greeted with the friendliest of hellos from the two gentlemen behind the counter as well as one of their patrons. The cafe was immaculate, the coffee was delicious. I also bought a quart of their homemade butternut squash soup to have for lunch and it was outstanding. So delicious. My friend had one of their bowls and she commented on how amazing her breakfast was as well. I will definitely be back and I will tell all of my friends to stop in and give them a try. They also have free WIFI which was great because I needed to do some work before my friend arrived. I wish the owner and chef of this establishment the best of luck with his business. read more

I just want to start off saying that the food here is VERY VERY tasty. However, the place really needs management and organizational help. I can look beyond little things, like the owner not even greeting customers when they walk in. The inexperienced teenage staff. Fine. But as someone who orders from this place very often, nothing is consistent. They change the menu seasonally (normally a great thing) but then don't make the food anything like the menu says? The social media is never up to date with correct items. Not sure how this is happening when the chef is the owner? Like, how do you make your own menu incorrectly? I would say this is ALMOST excusable because the food is always fresh, so even if you get the wrong thing, it's still delicious. But what really bugs me is the lack of protocol. Why is a 16 year old explaining to me why I got the wrong food? Why is she trying to tell me that the Facebook and websites aren't updated and it's always a problem? Why isn't the owner dealing with customer service when errors occur? I know this sounds complainy, but I truly have been going here since they opened, years ago now, and I'm still dealing with this same problem 80 percent of the time I order. I'm here hoping this will inspire a change in my favorite local restaurant. TL;DR to the owner: please hire a restaurant manager. And acknowledge the customers that come into your restaurant. You're a great chef, but it's only food. Good customer service goes a long way. read more

Rockin Roots is amazing!! I ordered food for pick up which the owner said would be done in 10 minutes. My boyfriend and I got a bbq pulled jackfruit sandwich, crunchy bowl, and a custom coconut bowl. Everything was so delicious and fresh. The bbq jackfruit sandwich was not too spicy which I liked and came with the perfect amount of coleslaw. The crunchy bowl had some of the BEST falafel and tzaziki sauce I've ever had. Also the hummus was so good too. Finally, I had a bowl with coconut base, strawberries, chia seeds, quinoa crunch, and cacao nibs. The strawberries were huge and bright red which were delicious.
