    Vegan Cheesecake

So glad they're back! The other day we stopped in for lunch at the new location in Closter NJ. We had the lentil and chili soups--with peanut butter cups and cheesecake! Everything is vegan--I love it because for me it's less to worry about. Ambiance is comfortable, very similar to how they setup the dining room in their old location--which was earthy and homey. This location has an addition of an art room! For art days--appeared to be an area where adults and children can create art. I didn't venture in. Animals are welcome, some patrons had their dogs. Service was great. The cashier charged us for something we did not order and promptly sent a refund. They didn't have the salads and burritos from the previous menu but the owner told me that the menu items will eventually return. Will definitely come back!

We went on a hike with a friend and he told me this place is good, I was skeptical because generally i am not a fan of vegan food, But it blew my expectations. The place is renovated nicely like an old cottage with a modern asethetic. Tried the juices green machine and some of the bowls, and tacos...I had the coconut curry bowl and everything was fyre.

Wonderful cafe with art and crafts and live music. If you care about what you put in your body this place is for you. Must try.

Delicious hidden gem with loads of healthy gluten-free options! They need better signage from the main road, but one you find it you won't be disappointed!

Never thought that we would find a place with such a Californian and Hawaiian Vibe here in NJ. Super cute place which might be difficult to locate until you try and go till the end of the suites located at the location, turn left and then enter the cafe through the tent. Friendly staff and the cafe has a quirky interior, their entire menu is vegan. We tried the Trio Timeless Tacos and the Mediterranean quinoa bowl. The Trio Timeless Tacos tasted good, we got one of each, they were so light and healthy, each tasted unique in their own sense. The Mediterranean Quinoa Bowl tasted a bit bland but overall a good portion.

This is where delicious food, amazing staff, laidback ambiance and magic meet. I went here last week for the first time. When we walked through the parking lot, we were amazed to find such an open outdoor seating area. Perfect for summers and cool fall days. Inside, the decor is fun and warm. The staff were so friendly and made some great recommendations for food and drinks. We ordered quinoa bowl, a classic pizza, the tropical smoothie and a lavender blues smoothie. Everything was fresh and delicious. The meal was so satisfying. We felt full but not weighed down. The cafe also has the sweetest mascot, Riley. Everyone seemed to know her! She's so gentle and adorable. Made the visit even more special. Can't wait to go back and try more!

On multiple weekends, we're left to ring indefinitely, sometimes not getting through even checking back after an hour--you're losing business! Dante's has the area's closest to a classic NY slice: a sweet sauce without going overboard on the cheese. Their grilled chicken is also great, and we haven't gone wrong with any of their salads or chicken entrees. They're also my preference for chicken parm in the area. Downsides are the side salads, which are a little weak and don't taste as fresh, and the pasta marinara side, which also is blander. And the phones--the phones!

Got an estimate of 25 minutes over the phone. Walking into the store, I saw the huge counter display where many pizza pies were display. They also had a nice dine-in area, with tables and wall arts. It was busy in there. I got to try to regular cheese pizza that was excellent. Liked the semi thin crust with a thick layer of cheese and sauce on top. The cheesesteak was decent, had a good mix of the beef and cheese. The wings were dry bone kind. This was my second time having meal from Dante's and both times I felt their pizzas were solid quality but other items such as salad, wings, sandwiches were less appealing.

We sampled all 3 of the red wines they offered before deciding on one and buying a bottle. Bottle prices are fair enough, but these aren't high end wines. We're generally not wow'd with these, but when combined with an appetizer and their complimentary dip with pita, it's all filling enough. The air felt a bit stagnant here again and then some customer must have said something because they finally turned on their house air conditioning. I started with the tamarind margarita. The tamarind flavor was a bit subtle and the drink was on the sweeter side, but it was pretty good. I also tried the passionfruit mojito, which was a little more tangy and strong. My husband enjoyed the strawberry mojito and tom collins. To eat, I had the burrata avocado toast. It was a great portion size, with two large pieces of toast. However, the flavor was a bit bland. My husband was happy with the chorizo omelette, which was also quite large. On a beautiful afternoon, we decided to grab a table on the patio, and it was the perfect choice. The outdoor seating created a relaxed, inviting atmosphere that made it easy to settle in and enjoy brunch. The restaurant itself has a modern, stylish aesthetic that feels elevated without being pretentious. From the moment we sat down, the service was exceptional. Our server was attentive, welcoming, and struck that perfect balance of checking in without ever making us feel rushed. Now, let's talk about the food. The Tres Leches French Toast completely exceeded my expectations. I've had plenty of French toast over the years, but this one stood out. It was incredibly soft and fluffy with beautifully crisp edges, creating that perfect contrast in texture. The tres leches flavor was rich enough that it genuinely didn't need syrup--a rare compliment for French toast. Every bite was indulgent without feeling overly sweet. Paired with the perfectly cooked apple-smoked bacon and a bowl of fresh fruit, it was one of the better brunch plates I've had in quite some time. I also ordered the strawberry mimosa, which was bright, refreshing, and not overly sweet. It was the perfect companion to brunch. We couldn't leave without trying the Chicken Burrata Sandwich, and I'm so glad we did. The burrata was fresh and creamy, the chicken was juicy, and the spicy sauce added just enough heat to keep every bite interesting without overpowering the sandwich. Then there was the bun--soft, fresh, and sturdy enough to hold everything together. It tied the entire sandwich together beautifully. The fries deserve their own mention. Golden brown, perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside, and fluffy on the inside--exactly how fries should be. Between the beautiful setting, genuinely attentive service, and food that delivered across the board, 179 Bar & Grill earned every one of these five stars. It's the kind of place that's just as good for a casual brunch as it would be for bringing friends or celebrating a special occasion. I'll absolutely be back--and next time, I'm already planning to explore more of the menu.

While the other slices have an appearance identical to an isosceles triangle, the nonna looks like a scalene triangle. Regardless, it is the taste, not the shape, that matters. Both slices were a home run! They had excellent undercarriage and no flop, which is why they were very crispy. The ratio of sauce was proportioned perfectly and they were loaded with toppings.
