Hot Honey Harvest and Cesar Chicken Caesar

We stopped at Just Salad without any idea what we are walking into on our way back to NY. The place was very clean and environmentally friendly. The food was delicious and fresh. I got a hot honey chicken bowl and my daughter got chicken Cesar salad. We enjoyed our meals and felt like we got a great value for the money we spent. I loved the recycling station! I wish we had a place like that by where we live.

I originally wanted to try this place because I heard people raving about their buffalo chicken wrap on social media and past one nearby my home. I ordered using the app for pickup and my family got some different salads and wraps to try. Pickup was easy and the store was clean and organized. Overall we were happy with most of them. Portions are big and food seemed fresh but it's definitely best eaten right away to prevent anything getting soggy.

I decided to give this spot a try since I usually love salads, but this place was pretty basic. I did a make your own salad and my mom got one off the menu. There aren't a ton of options to choose from, plus some are extra (cheese). It just seemed like a basic salad I could make at home (for cheaper). My mom did some sort of kale salad. She said it was ok but there wasn't anything special about it. I think overall if you just want a quick salad it's OK, but there's nothing unique or interesting about it.

I came here during the $5 promo and the line was insane but luckily there was enough staff and I only had to wait about 10 minutes! My family ordered 3 warm bowls. The cilantro lime chicken bowl was pretty filling, yummy and healthy! The other warm bowls I got, the chicken fajita and warm chicken + goat cheese were smaller but the meat and veggies were tasty! I think portion wise, it's best for lunch because it might not be fillng enough for some. Price wise, $5 for a bowl was amazing but not sure if it'll be worth it at a normal price.

And I have to give a special shout-out to the waffle fries: crispy, well-seasoned, and surprisingly addictive. They're the perfect side to round out any bowl.

The brussel sprouts, cauliflower & butternut squash soup (1st time trying this- ever!) were all delicious starters. Warm, well cooked, and flavorful, I'd definitely order this again. For my main meal I had the grass fed burger with sweet potato chips - it was so delicious! Not heavy at all but satisfying and filling. I also ordered the Bright Eyes refresher and loved it. For dessert, we tried the cookie à la mode but I was not a fan of it, it was just okay in my opinion, not as good as the food itself. Service was incredible. Andrew was friendly, informative and just overall a pleasure to have serve us our meal. He truly took this first experience to the next level with his professionalism and positive vibes. Thanks so much Andrew!

It's located…read moreright near the railroad tracks on Maywood Ave. They have a small parking lot with limited spots. There's also street parking nearby. We came in for lunch on a Friday afternoon. It wasn't busy and we were able to seat ourselves wherever we wanted. The restaurant is small, but cozy, and has a local/family-owned feel to it. The interior is simple and charming; it almost feels like you're eating in someone's dining room. The menu has all of your traditional Greek favorites like gyros, souvlaki, lamb shank, fresh seafood, cold dips, moussaka, etc. It's BYOB! We ordered... *Complimentary pita bread and hummus - The pita was soft and fluffy. The hummus was creamy and rich. The combination of sun dried tomatoes, garlic, and chickpeas made the dip earthy, nutty, and tangy. *Kalamarakia $15.95 - I'm picky with calamari, but the chef got this right! The coating was light, crispy, and fried to a perfect golden brown color. It didn't mask the taste of the squid. The squid was tender (but not rubbery) with a subtle sweetness. The fresh lemon and marinara sauce added a tangy zest to the overall flavor. *Grilled Chicken Pita Sandwich with rice $14.95 *Gyro with fries $14.95 (All gyro sandwiches come with lettuce, tomato, onion, tzatziki sauce, and your choice of rice or fries). These were HUGE, filling, and packed with tons of protein! Both the grilled chicken and gyro meat were flavorful and marinated in a blend of herbs and spices. The tzatziki sauce was refreshing and citrusy. The pita bread was warm and soft. I could only finish half of mine and packed the rest to eat later. Our server was really friendly and attentive. The food came out within a reasonable amount of time. Don't sleep on Angelo's!

We were quickly seated and the server came over fairly fast to take our order - the server was very nice, but he was slow to write down what we ordered so we had to repeat our order twice; he was an older man, and very nice to us. We were seated next to the "kitchen" and we really liked the open concept, as seeing someone prepare your food is somewhat reassuring about their standards. I ordered their lunch combo - half a chicken california club sandwich and a side salad. Their Caesar salad was okay, pretty standard bottled dressing and actually nice croutons. The sandwich was also okay, there was not as much chicken as I would've liked, but the avocado was fresh and so was the bread. It did take a while for us to be able to get the bill. Our server didn't check back on us after we got out food and we weren't able to call him over, as he never looked our way, so we had to signal another server to get a to-go container and the check. Overall, the experience was fairly average but definitely a good choice for lunch, especially if you do their combo, since it's pretty affordable and filling enough.

This reminds of a low-end Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace, which I like a lot better. The vegetables look good at this place ( I bought some) but the prepared food I tried was awful. I had a Mediterranean focaccia sandwich and their potato salad. The sandwich was super dry and tasteless and the potato salad had one note of vinegar. I made potato salad for the first time this year and it came out 1,000 times better. Besides this the store layout is a little maze-like. Had the New Jersey article not touted this marketplace as some place I can spend all day and get lost in, I probably would have rated this 3 stars. Nevertheless, it does not live up to the hype for me. I live many miles away from here but even if it were in my town, I would barely frequent it it or just stop by for the vegetables. Their organic scallions were the best, however, so that gets 5 stars. Everything else was mediocre.
