Ordered the fit and fabulous salad, and a round roll filled with roast beef, cheese, lettuce, onions, and mayo. The salad was delicious and frankly pretty large, which was appreciated. You can definitely split it into two meals or with another person. The grilled chicken in the salad is tender and seasoned well. One of the best sub places I've ever been to! I was amazed at the amount of classic and healthy options this place offered when I first looked at their menu online. I ordered for pick up on a Wednesday afternoon around 12:30pm. It was a little bit of a wait to get my order since it was lunch time. I called ahead to place an order for pickup. The girl that took my order told me it would take 20 minutes, which I was fine with. When I arrived to pick up my order, it was not ready. The girl at the counter noted that they were going to make my sandwich next, as they had received a large salad order right after me. I placed my order first, which means my sandwich should have been made first. To be given the excuse of the chef being new and order times were longer is unacceptable. Needed a sandwich and this one had a bunch of good reviews. Parking can be challenging fyi. They have every possible sandwich here so if you crave something you will like it. The mona lisa was an eggplant sandwich and it was massive. It does takes time to make so be patient. I do wish the breaded eggplant had more crunch to it and the sandwich needed it. This spot is great for a classic good quality sub

Usually I don't leave three-star reviews. Why? Because three stars typically means "ok" and "ok" is difficult to write about passionately. But in my case the "ok" is an average of "excellent" and "poor". And those terms can generate passion. As a government employee I get only 30 minites for lunch. I wanted a custom salad, Sub-ology was only 2.9 miles away, and many of its reviews were quite favorable, particularly about its salads. It was a quick drive and for the first ten minutes, the meters are free! And my space was maybe 20 paces from the shop. For custom salad it's $12.99 with a generous list of included ingredients. I added roasted chicken for $3 more. I didnt see manadarin oranges nor any kind of Asian sesame or ginger dressing. Small bummer. $20 after tax and $1 tip. Grrrrrr. I chose a balsamic dressing which I hated because it was mouth-burning spicy and not what I imagined. But the ingredients were quite fresh and delicious - so I didnt totally mind eating my salad with no dressing whatsoever. The ten minutes for the meter? Not enough by a long shot. Partly my fault for thinking I can just show up close to noon and get out (like in Chopt or other chain salad places). Nope. It was too much of a wait and I only escaped a parking ticket by being lucky. For me the upshot is "meh". I don't plan to return. read more

Anytime we show friends the menu, we all spend at least several minutes studying it and trying to narrow down what to get - it's all so good - how do you even decide!? After originally leaving a 3-star review, I was contacted by the business owner to discuss my experience. I promised to give them another chance and re-write my review based on that, so here it is. Having been to this location several times, I can say that I "get" what they're trying to do, a NJ style sub shop that offers more than just the run of the mill 5 or 10 numbered choices, actually creating some unique combinations hat you might not be able to find elsewhere. Ingredients such as fresh mozzarella and chicken cutlets really help to elevate this place above the competition. A recommendation, if you are looking for something more unique than a simple sandwich, spend some time studying the menu, either via the pictures here on Yelp- or on their website. Just don't order online as the price of each menu item is more expensive if you order using the "order online" button prominently featured at the top of their website. Likewise, you may want to disregard the "Visa Contactless payments preferred" sign they have right next to the register in store, they'll tack on a surcharge for you choosing to use their preferred form of payment. never ordered from here before but we had out of state guests and thought we would try something new. we ordered 3 sandwiches, 2 with meat and one caprese wrap. everyone was very happy with their sandwich except my caprese wrap. it had one piece of mozzarella. not several pieces layered or from the pic cubed mozz, just one piece. i order a lot of vegetarian items and sometimes have to modify things to get something without meat which can be lackluster because i had to make do, but this is a sandwich already created that has cheese as it's main ingredient / protein. if this is the main ingredient i would have expected more, especially for the price of the wrap. doesn't have to be a ton but i would have thought a couple of slices at least. what i did have an over abundance of was mixed greens in the wrap. like when i was finished taking all of the mixed greens out of my sandwich because i actually can't eat them but it's not listed as an ingredient, it was a plate full for an actual large salad. my guest was actually upset because of how much there was and i threw it away. anyway, i'm just hoping that maybe going forward the caprese wrap or any other vegetarian item can be re-thought and have a fair amount of the main ingredient instead of just one slice. read more
