Small ice cream shop in Beacon. Good place to stop by before leaving if you are walking to the Metro North Station to keep you cool in the heat. They have a variety of ice creams as well as a few sorbets and non-diary options. They also offer cups for dogs. We had the mango and raspberry sorbet. I enjoyed them but my partner thought that they were too tart. I preferred the raspberry flavor over the mango.
Beacon, NY - awesome locally made ice cream, very creamy and flavorful. They've got seasonal/unusual flavors alongside the classics (the apple one had chunks in it and was excellent), homemade choco tacos with waffle cone shells, and even wine popsicles - perfect for the boozy adult hiding their alcohol dependency behind a frozen treat. And bless this sweet and homey shoppe for having malts and old fashioned egg creams, which have all but gone extinct, in addition to more regulation soda floats. The only thing I regret is sashaying away without buying one of the fetching & saucy merman Christmas ornaments on display!
A very cute ice cream shop right on the corner of Main Street in downtown. We got there just before a big crowd and the first thing they asked us when we walked in was if our dog wanted a pup cup (yes, yes he does). So, I was already loving this place. Go for the amazing ice cream and huge variety of great flavors and the amazing folks behind the counter, but also go for the actual soft serve mini swirl for your furry friend. These ice cream scoops are bigger than you think they will be. A scoop of the cherry and a scoop of the coffee and I was looking at a massive cup. This was a winning combo though. Loved both rich, creamy flavors so so much and now I can't wait for my next trip into town so I can pay another visit. They have a two seater table inside but this really is more of a grab and walk around kind of spot. Enjoy!

I came here and it was open which was a bit shocking because on their website it is written they open at 3:00 pm but on Yelp it said open. So I am happy to see that it was open; they give samples and I loved my ice cream. I have come here before and I always have great customer service and delicious ice cream. I would recommend it and it reminds me of a calm neighborhood ice cream shop. They has chairs outside the store if you want to eat it at the moment.
This is a really cute ice cream shop. Everyone is really friendly and nice. I got the dole whip ice cream which was quite good. All the ice cream looked delicious and inviting. Can't wait to try another flavor!
Stopped by for a quick treat and was absolutely floored by the scoop size! This is the large (2 scoops) and it was a hefty serving. They have a great selection of ice cream, sorbet, soft serve & even some dole whip! However, they dont allow any samples! Not sure if this is a regular thing or because there was a community event going on. They had so many interesting flavors but it felt risky so i found myself gravitating to the more classic flavors. I wish they allowed just 1 mini sample so it would give consumers the chance to actually try some of their more interesting flavors. In general their ice cream is a bit airier without being icy. It was nice and creamy- melts super smooth, and not dense & thick like haagen dazs. Im not sure how I feel about it- on one hand my friend liked it because it was light and easier to eat than if it was that giant scoop of dense ice cream. But for me it was more reminiscent of a budget ice cream - i personally love a denser ice cream that you have to chew than a lighter texture that just melts. I got the german chocolate cake at the staff's recommendation (btw they were al SUPER friendly!). It was good but also VERY sweet. It felt like a shot of hershey syrup with an extra drizzle of caramel. The praline and cream was better- had crunchy chunks with some decent sized chunks of pecan.

Stopped here after dinner up the street to grab a quick dessert but it turned into much more than that after finding out they had a full assortment of Janes ice cream varieties. We were greeted almost immediately cheerfully and loudly from somebody behind the counter couldn't tell because there was a gang of people in line waiting to be served and a very cheerful sort of way. The menu is to your immediate right on the wall and then there's another one behind the counter that gives you all the varieties of ways you can eat your choosings. Apparently those cookie sandwiches as well if you want to get for that. Cheerful little store and there's some seating around the corner if you choose.
Small cramped place inside, but everyone hangs out outside to eat their ice cream. And the ice cream is excellent. Very creamy and very tasty, definitely tastes homemade. Tried vanilla, cookie dough, and German chocolate cake. All were excellent, highly recommend if in the area.

A mom-and-pop type ice cream shop with many flavor options and a warm smile to greet you! It was hot, I wanted ice cream and thankfully I saw this place across the street within minutes of exclaiming my need for a cold, sweet treat. (I screamed for ice cream, if you will ;) I ordered the mango sorbet on a sugar cone, however the girl scooping my ice cream recommended that I switch to a waffle cone as it would hold the sorbet better. She was definitely right about that! The sorbet was refreshing and exactly what I needed to hear the Sunday afternoon heat. They have literally one table with 2 chairs inside, and thankfully it was empty when we arrived as I had no plans of eating my ice cream outside. If you arrive during a busy time, you can enjoy your ice cream on the bench outside the front door or up in their patio area located to the left of the building. However the "patio" area is NOT shaded, so be prepared for your ice cream to melt quickly if you're outside on a hot day. Thanks for helping me beat the heat, y'all! read more

I came here and it was open which was a bit shocking because on their website it is written they open at 3:00 pm but on Yelp it said open. Final stop of my one day Hudson Valley, NY adventure for a nice cool down. Beacon Creamery is a local ice cream and creamery. Breweries and ice cream for a one day city escape! There are very limited classic flavor selection as I was seeking my favorite strawberry or vanilla, but disappointedly neither exist. I am very conservative traditionalist as I always prefer classic flavors. I suppose Beacon Creamery changes their flavors in accord measured with food trends like clothing fashion, thus as taste change so does ice cream flavors. I wish they have a few classic flavors that are always in stock available and a separate selection for "flavors of the day" similar to "daily specials" of a restaurant menu. Nevertheless, I always support and patronized locally owned businesses with an open mind. Ergo, I decided on green tea but it does not remotely taste like anything Asian green tea but a very heavy creamy vanilla and is, surely, soft ice cream style. I purchased one small cup, but I should purchase a mini cup since it is my first time here, unbeknownst, I did not know how their ice cream taste as the finish. The finish left my mouth very dry, rich and thick heavy cream stickiness that I profoundly needed a bottle of water, but none available. Unfortunately, I was unable to finish the remainder scraps. Dispirited. Utter slough of despond. Dismay. My friends attained mint chocolate chip and coconut respectively. The façade exterior is very cute with one small wooden bench of two grizzly bears on either end holding/consuming ice cream. Very cute photo opportunity with children and bears at this wooden bench! This business is very close vicinity of MTA Metro North Beacon station within reasonable walking distance. No indoor seating as this business is takeout only. Business card are available for grabs. Upon entering the indoor atmosphere air has a very strong putrid odor of heavy cream from ice cream. read more
Stop reading this and go to Beacon Creamery ASAP! This awesome spot makes it into my top five of ice cream places. Nestled right at the end of Main St, Beacon Creamery has a vast amount of flavors to choose from. I wanted a peanut butter flavor originally, but they were out. Instead, I ordered a pistachio and it was probably the best cup of pistachio ice cream I've ever had. Flavorful, creamy, and smooth, my ice cream was stellar. My partner ordered a plain vanilla and I ended up eating the last bits of theirs because it was just too good. read more
Absolutely loved this place, I've been eyeing it on Yelp for a while. I like how there's so many varieties of icecream to choose from, and the selection seem endless from bananas icecream to raspberry chardonnay icecream, Yes! They have liquor icecream and it has like 5 percent alcohol in it, I believe. He even had to ask me for ID to sample it. The staff was warm and friendly I'm glad it wasn't normally crowded because I did want the opportunity to try more then 2 samples. I love the location, the outside is very welcoming and on a nice hot day it's perfect to sit outside and enjoy the neighborhood and people walking by and also it's great for selfies!. This creamery is amazing and extremely friendly. I had the cherry chocolate ice cream and it was so chunky! Every bite had a chunk of chocolate and cherries, I loved it. For some family time this is a perfect place to go. I say five stars but, if I could i'll say 10 stars. read more
This creamery came recommended for their wine ice cream. They had two flavors available which I'm told the flavors rotate quite often. Both the cherry merlot and strawberry champagne flavors were great, the merlot one definitely had a stronger wine/alcohol lasting finish. Although the texture was good, I'd have preferred if it was slightly more creamy versus icy, still solid ice cream and definitely recommend if you're craving something sweet and unique. read more
Exceptionally creamy ice cream. Their One scoop is like 2 or three elsewhere. They make their own cones on what looks like a waffle iron; the aroma is intoxicating. When the weather is nice there's a seating area next door overlooking the Hudson. read more
I love ice cream. I don't love wine. But the Beacon Creamery stocks Mercer's Wine Infused Ice Cream. Turns out, I love chocolate cabernet ice cream. The other flavors are fairly unique as well, and you can taste them before buying. They also make their own waffle cones, which are great. Only problem is, melting ice cream drips out of the bottom. The shop itself looks pretty dingy. But the ice cream is good and that's what's important. read more

The people who work there are always very welcoming and patient, even if you're having a hard time choosing from their many ice cream flavors. My favorite is the cookies and cream. Wondered in on a solo trip up-state. (Was intrigued by a sign advertising boozy ice cream if we're being totally honest here...) I was helped immediately by a very nice man behind the ice cream counter and settled on the first flavor I tried. The back patio was perfect for enjoying the Strawberry Champagne flavor on a nice June afternoon! I'll stop again if I'm ever back in the area. read more

Best. Ice cream. Ever. My two friends who said they didn't want any saw and tried my ice cream and quickly changed their minds! I wish this place let you try more than two flavors. I understand why they do it, but there's so many unique flavors I needed to try more!! I ended up getting a scoop of green tea and cappuccino Kahlua. If only this place was closer to where I lived! read more
