Best. Ice cream. Ever. My two friends who said they didn't want any saw and tried my ice cream and quickly changed their minds! I wish this place let you try more than two flavors. I understand why they do it, but there's so many unique flavors I needed to try more!! I ended up getting a scoop of green tea and cappuccino Kahlua. If only this place was closer to where I lived! read more

Made a quick stop here after visiting Dia Beacon and was so glad that I did! Both the inside and the outside of the creamery seemed to represent Beacon - cute and quaint with lots of character. It was hard to choose a flavor with so many great options, but I ended up going with the salted caramel pretzel. It was delicious, perfect bites of creamy, sweet, and salty. Need to go back to try more of their flavors! read more

I walked into this place and walked back out. There was a horrible smell that hit me in the face as soon as I walked in. The smell was so bad it made me queezy. I can't say if the ice cream is good or not because I didn't trust food from a place that smelled so bad. read more

Nice place kinda rude lady. People were standing in the doorway with the door open and the worker lady said "close the door we have air conditioning here". No please? It's ok ice cream was ice cream nothing special. read more

Employees were too busy sitting on the outside bench than working inside the store. Waited 5 minutes and then left.

First time I order the Belgian Chocolate in a Waffle cone 1 scoop was enough for me it was delicious, They have great customer service, my kid order the cookies and cream with cookies crumbs 100% go to this place they have a lot of flavors, they are so nice, they have like 5 tables outdoor on their backyard and a cute bench with bears decorations. Second time I order the Mocha Chip and I am already thinking what to order next time because I will definitely be back. read more

I must've tried a half dozen different flavors before I settled on the Almond Joy and was I glad! It was unctuous chock-full of coconut chocolate and almonds. A perfect balance of crunchy and creamy exactly what I wanted. The staff is ultra friendly. And they offer a huge creative variety of flavors and combinations and even some with wine! This is some of the very best ice cream I've ever had. Can't wait to come back! read more

Cute little ice cream shop with a small seating area to the left of it. The flavors aren't too exciting but they have all your typical flavors. Just wish they had more of the flavors that are advertised on the wall. Still a great place to stop by for a sweet treat. read more

This ice cream shop is right across Bank square coffee and since it was a hot day we decided to grab a treat as well. They had a bunch of interesting flavors on the board but the one I liked turned out not to be available yet. So I decided to get one of their wine ice cream flavors. It was ok. Not impressive but not bad either.. The shop seemed very popular but at the least, what we had was a little underwhelming.. read more

Beacon Creamery is one of those treasures you stumble upon that is so good you can't believe your luck. It has so many interesting and tasty sounding flavors that you'll likely be paralyzed by indecision. For example, it has chocolate cabernet (a whole wine flavor ice cream list!), lavender, cappuccino kahlua, a mintsummer's night dream, etc. I loved my cappuccino kahlua which had a very strong coffee taste to it. I also tried the grapefruit sorbet which really tasted like grapefruit and was very refreshing. The staff here were so friendly and clearly pretty happy to be working there. Our server also was so good about letting us try multiple flavors. Beacon Creamery had such a nice and welcoming vibe compared to the snooty ice cream shops I usually encounter in Manhattan. read more

Probably more like a 3.5, given that it's pricey. $4.50 for one scoop! You can get Jane's Homemade Ice Cream here, but it's not the best ever (sure tastes good on a summer afternoon though). They have flavors like chai latte, ginger, green tea, killer chocolate, and the normal vanilla, strawberry, and mint chocolate chip. They also have alcoholic flavors. Also, they don't put up their flavors anywhere so it could take a while to look through what they have, especially if you're particularly indecisive. The people are friendly and limit you to two tastings to keep the line moving. Because of its prime location, the place can get quite crowded. It's a small place with just a couple tables and a bench outside, but you can always take it out and stroll along main street. read more

My grandson and I are both lactose intolerant. It is very difficult to find "real" ice cream or at least lactose free ice creams that still taste good. The best you can do in most places is either sorbet or vanilla. Beacon Creamery had four lactose free flavors and we tried the pistachio, which was really good. It is now our favorite place for ice cream. Great flavors, good service and there is a little park across the street with shade trees and picnic tables. read more

It's pretty cute inside for this kind of town. The service was good by one employee, but apathetic by the senior employee, which was disappointing. The flavors were average. Mint chocolate chip was a little fake mint tasting. Banana oreo was great. Cappuccino yogurt was boring. Cappuccino kahlua was pretty good. Overall it was fine, but you'd be just as happy going to McDonald's for shakes or the popsicle-focused shop down the street. read more

Great ice cream, somewhat okay service. I had the mocha chip scoop on a cone, and the flavor was rich and very tasty. It definitely tasted like homemade decadent ice cream, but the lady serving us was not as sweet. My boyfriend and I were deciding on what pint to get, and we both ordered our pints separately, yet she made a comment under her breath about us just ordering two instead of separately. Which we did not because we had yet to decide on flavors, and coincidentally chose the same one. It was not very professional. But the taste of the ice cream is fantastic, I highly recommend mocha chip. They also didn't have one of the flavors on their menu which was a disappointment, but oh well. The almond joy flavor has delicious coconut flakes, chocolate chips, with rich coconut ice cream, get it if you love almond joy. The ice cream is definitely worth it despite the service. read more

Beacon creamery is great. A good staple for main street beacon. My only bugaboo is that they dont have much dairy free options - only sorbet. The regular ice cream flavors look amazing though. My boyfriend pretty much died and went to heaven over the chocolate flavor. read more

I had lost all hope until I stumbled across this place. I have been here in the orange county area a little over one month now, and I can tell you that I have had a ice cream at different places at least once to twice a week. But it had gotten to the point that everything seemed so disappointing that I had given up and just started purchasing your everyday brands inside the grocery store. BUT then one day while out and about doing my usual a friend took me to this place and Oh My, I was so happy. They have some of your traditional flavors and them some harder to find. And I love the mix of new and old for example they had rocky road but then there was a Lavender flavor, dulce de leche, apricot peach (I think) chocolate, green tea, ginger and some others that I cant remember. But i got lavender and dulce de leche with little chunks of the caramel swirled inside. I live on the other side of the Hudson but no toll will stop me from returning to this place!! read more

This place is not closed. We stopped in on our way back to the LIRR. They have mini sizes starting at $1 with a wide variety of flavors to choose from. It wasn't the most amazing ice cream I ever had, but we would go there again if we ever made it back out to Beacon. read more

After a long walk and hike on the beacon mountain, the beacon creamery is the best way to end the day with some good ice cream! To my surprise they have wine ice cream! I had all four flavors and I love them all! My little brother tried their pistachio and butter pecan and he loves them too. The ice cream was very creamy and well made! Oh... Did I mention that they are made in house with all natural ingredients! This place is a must stop if you want some really awesome ice cream! I'll definitely go there again when I visit this town. read more

I initially made it a point to stop here my first time in Beacon because of the impeccable reviews about the unique flavors. Needless to say, Beacon Creamery has unique flavors of ice cream that taste good. I like that their ice cream isn't too sweet in comparison to the artisan ice cream I've tried near home. In fact, I like it so much, I keep forgetting to take pictures for Yelp of my ice cream! The most recent time I was there, I had the currants and cream flavor. I loved the sharp contrast of the tangy currant in conjunction with the smooth, richness of the vanilla. I've also had the lavender ice cream prior, which I found to be impressive as well. I am the most impressed by the wine ice cream, the cherry merlot being my favorite. I've never seen or had wine ice cream until coming here, so I found this to be the most unique. Their wine ice creams typically have the initial flavor with the wine aftertaste. With the cherry merlot, you first taste the cherry ice cream and the chunks of dried cherry and then the subtle and smooth flavor of the merlot directly afterwards. It's a bit of a sophisticated flavor, but I guess that's the point. I'm taking away one star because I think it's overpriced and it closes at 8pm. I find it hard to believe that an ice cream store closes so early, especially during the summer. Aside of that, I haven't been disappointed with the ice cream here! read more

Was walking down Main street craving ice cream when all of a sudden a wild creamery appears! And a good one at that! A solid selection of flavors spread out with tastings available. Only one man behind the counter, but it's not really an area for an ice cream parlor to be busy. Immediately got the peanut butter cup option on a small cone ($3). Creamy with plenty of pb cups inside for a good crunch. Really hit the spot. Not the greatest ice cream I've had, but the price was perfect. Will go back if I'm ever in Beacon again. read more

I had the chocolate and raspberry sorbet and they were excellent. I would give 4 or 5 stars except .... My husband ordered a mango "fizz," (mango sorbet blended with seltzer) and it was terrible. read more

Really good lavendar ice cream and yummy chocolate milkshake. A lil pricey but heaping portions and friendly service.

We stopped in for dessert after dinner at a nearby restaurant. The exterior was charming, with a sign advertising 32 flavors. Upon entering we found one whole freezer case closed up, so only 16 flavors (it was more than an hour before closing, so this was puzzling ). I ordered a waffle cone of the almond joy. The inside of the shop was not very inviting so we sat outside on a bench to watch the sunset. The ice cream had a good consistency and the portion was good, but I could taste almost no coconut flavor. The waffle come was also clearly from a box, not store-made. An OK option for a treat on this quaint main street, but perhaps a different flavor and a cup instead of a cone would be a better choice. read more

I came here for the wine ice cream and it will not disappoint! Yes you need to show id and yes you get a little tipsied with the samplers and yes they were all delicious! If you're visiting the area the town itself is very quaint and has a lot of cute shops you can browse from. read more

Awesome but quaint little shop with flavorful ice cream. Just what I needed after a hike up Mount Beacon and a 40 minute walk to Metro North on a warm July day yesterday. Had a double scoop of pistachio (white) and butter pecan served in a waffle cone. Owner mentioned there had been some trouble getting all the flavors transported from Kingston due to the storm earlier in the week. read more

Good ice cream - they serve Jane's Homemade ice cream. I had an intense chocolate served in a wafer cone, although I had to ask for one because they don't normally give them out to adults (only for the kiddie size). The regular size with the waffle cone just seemed like too much for me, and I was satisfied with the smaller size. A little pricey to be honest ($4.50 for a regular sized cone with no smaller option for adults), but if you're really into ice cream I recommend it. Cool old-timey vibe playing oldies, everything you'd expect an ice cream shop in Beacon to be. read more

After walking back to Main Street from Dia:Beacon, I only had one thing on my mind: ice cream! This cute little shop is located right at the beginning of Main Street, so if there's no seats inside, you can definitely take your ice cream to go and eat as you browse the stores along Main Street. They allow up to two tastings of ice cream, so I tried the Lavender and the Cappuccino Kahlua flavors. The lavender was kind of boring, sweet with a hint of floral. The cappuccino was great, there was tiny pieces of coffee beans in it, I think, because it was crunchy. However, I decided to get a single scoop of their pumpkin flavor because I hadn't tried pumpkin ice cream before. It tastes good, but I wish it could have had a stronger pumpkin taste. It just tasted like a light mix of vanilla and cinnamon. The staff were all super duper nice and helpful, which I really appreciated. They were friendly to everyone and their ice cream servings are very generous! read more

Delicious local homemade ice cream. We tried the mud blast and cappuccino baileys and both were tremendous!

Was in the area for a special annual event; so while poking around the surrounding areas, came across this yummy place!! Was planning to connect with some very good friends for dinner, so I did a sampling of some of their flavors on my first visit. Later that night, came back with some of my friends, so they could try the tasty flavors out also. The next night, we came back to test some more of the cold and creamy deliciousness! This place has some REALLY GOOD ice cream!! They've got some of the typical flavors, but then they've got some "other" flavors...that you will need to show proof that you're 21yrs or older. This may seem strange, but they're very good. They've got some wine flavored ice creams..again may sound strange...you've got to try them to understand. Also they've got their own twist on milkshakes..again 21yrs & older.. some flavors: Piña Colada, Mudslide, White Russian, Kaluha & a few others...they're creamy w/a shot of liqueur...DEFINITELY YUMMY!! You won't be intoxicated, it's just a nice treat to share, after dinner, for a delicious dessert! Looking forward to our next trip to the area again, for another event in the coming months! read more

Calling yourself a "creamery" and being the only ice cream shop in an artisanally focused town doesn't make you the cream of the crop.
