Spend the day hiking and exploring the town of Beacon. This is a great ice cream spot, get there early because they sell out of the popular flavors quick!

Whenever I'm in downtown Beacon I make sure to stop by Zora Dora's to review the current selection and pick up a paleta. Paletas are said to have originated in Central America, and offer a more sophisticated take on the common North American popsicle, often integrating spices and fresh fruit. From what I recall learning about paleta-making through the owner, Steven, during my first visit in 2010, a special machine is used to support quick freezing. This reduces time to for formation of crystals, enabling the paletas to have a dense, smooth texture. Between the composition and process, the outcome is strikingly colorful and festive products. My favorite, when available, is the lavender honey bee pollen paleta. The store is cash only ($4), so come prepared to try one yourself!

Small store front with popsicles and paletas. They create their delicious treats in micro batches and the popsicles are $5 each. I had the lavender honey one and it was super rich and creamy.

Great little popsicle and ice cream pop shop. Prices are a little pricey but the popsicles are all made in store with real fruit. We tried the mango, strawberry & passionfruit, cookies & cream, and chocolatey chocolate. They were all very good, especially the fruit flavors and the cookies & cream. I wasn't too fond of the strawberry and passionfruit at first until I got passed the strawberry and hit the tart passionfruit. Great after a long walk on a warm day.

Whenever I'm in Beacon I make it a point to grab an ice pop from Zora Dora even when I'm already full. The employees are always friendly and answer any and all questions customers have about flavors. Today I decided to try their hibiscus mango pop (no dairy) because I was so full from lunch and it was just too hot out for something with dairy. This was absolutely refreshing and perfect. The mango portion was actual strips of real mango, which I wasn't expecting. I thought it would be a swirl of the two flavors. But no complaints from me! Stop by and support this local gem. Remember cash only! Each pop is $4

Really delicious ice pops. Interesting mix of flavors. The girl behind the counter was so friendly. I'd recommend :)

Cutest little store with the yummiest of popsicles! Zora Dora's is a must do when in Beacon. They have indoor seating but we preferred enjoying the pops on our walk around the town. Got to try a couple of different flavors while here: Coconut Turmeric Latte - if you love golden lattes, this is for you! I loved the soft coconut flavor on this, delicious Citrus Sunset - tasted very much like passion fruit, which is my favorite fruit :). It was very sour but refreshing Cookies and Cream - wow, this was soooo rich. I could have eaten 5 of these! And there's little bits of Oreo cookie at the bottom of the bar

So yesterday it was about 80 degrees outside and i needed to cool down. I found this place not too far from the restarant i just ate breakfast in. I ordered the Passion Fruit strawberry popsicle! It was delicious and had real strawberrys. Mostly all popsicles are made with real fruit. 5 stars for the cool down!

We were walking around Beacon after breakfast and coffee and happened upon this place. It had just opened literally nothing was set up and the lights weren't even on yet but the kid behind the counter let us stop in, ask a ton of questions, and finally pick our popsicles. They were so fresh and refreshing. I could taste all the ingredients and that was so cool! We normally go for ice cream or donuts but this was defiantly a fun change! From what we saw, the shop was super cute but I feel like Beacon is that type of place you'd prefer to grab your popsicle and walk around. There are mountains everywhere for crying out loud. I grabbed a photo in front of their mural though. Such a fun place!

    Avocado. Yum!

I decided to stop by after reading exceptional Yelp reviews and I'm glad I did. I was immediately stumped by the menu because of all the equally appealing and unique popsicle flavors. You can find classic flavors such as cookies and cream or special flavors such as pineapple mango ginger. They also split the menu into dairy and non-dairy bars, which I would imagine being good for those who are lactose-intolerant. I also saw a couple ice cream sandwiches on the menu, one being red velvet, that I wanted to try. I was stuck between the passion fruit/strawberry popsicle and the avocado one, but ultimately chose the avocado one. When I first received it, it was extremely cold and was difficult to taste and bite into. I would imagine that on a hot summer's day, this would be beneficial because it wouldn't melt quickly. Once it defrosted a little, I was immediately surprised and delighted to taste its true avocado flavor, which was evident with the visible chunks of avocado. I'm also glad it wasn't too sweet, which tends to be one of my common complaints with popsicles. If I'm ever in the area again, I'm definitely stopping by to check out the new flavors.

(I screamed for ice cream, if you will ;) I ordered the mango sorbet on a sugar cone, however the girl scooping my ice cream recommended that I switch to a waffle cone as it would hold the sorbet better. She was definitely right about that! The sorbet was refreshing and exactly what I needed to hear the Sunday afternoon heat. They have literally one table with 2 chairs inside, and thankfully it was empty when we arrived as I had no plans of eating my ice cream outside. If you arrive during a busy time, you can enjoy your ice cream on the bench outside the front door or up in their patio area located to the left of the building. However the "patio" area is NOT shaded, so be prepared for your ice cream to melt quickly if you're outside on a hot day. Thanks for helping me beat the heat, y'all!
