The shop is TD tiny but they have a system that works very well so you'll be in and out fairly quickly The menus are well presented and easy to read even from five or 6 feet away so by the time you reach the counter, you already know what you're going to have. This is a pricey bagel experience, but well worth the quality. Noteworthy is that there is a kids menu, presumably with a smaller bagel, which I think is appreciated by the parents in the crowd. Tip for the Management: consider offering the kids menu to seniors also because some seniors can't eat much and that would be the perfect size breakfast or lunch Our order today was a cheddar cheese bagel, which was a cheesy flavored base dough with an abundance of cheddar cheese baked on top so the crispiness was a great contrast to the super soft tender bagel. We also got a sea salt bagel and a rosemary and olive oil oil with cream cheese. The three bagels, one with cream cheese, set us back about $12. You ever have a bagel so good that you had to go back for a second bagel? Well, I've never had to do that UNTIL I tried the rosemary & extra virgin olive oil bagel with fresh scallion & garlic cream cheese from Bagel-ish. We were in Beacon for the day and stumbled upon Bagel-ish when we were walking around. Bagels sounded good for lunch so we decided to stop by and check it out. There's a good variety of sourdough bagels and spreads, although by the time we got there (~2pm) a lot were already sold out. We placed our order and I appreciated that you can customize how much cream cheese you wanted on your bagel. The bagel was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. The scallion and garlic spread was so fresh and flavorful and it paired beautifully with the rosemary bagel (be warned: you may have a lingering garlic-y breath after eating this). If we weren't embarking on a long hike right after, we would've gotten some bagels to take home. Can't wait to come back and try out more bagels! read more

I got an everything with the scallion garlic cream cheese. I've never in my life gotten so little cream cheese on a bagel living in New York. Recently, I have been spending more time visiting my Mothers in Law who moved to Beacon. Already a big fan of most places I've gone to Beacon and came here on a recommendation. I don't say this lightly, either as someone who loves foods, from NYC, and has a lot of opinions on bagels, I was so blown away by these bagels, I will have to restrain myself from just buying a dozen every time I visit. Conveniently on main street and offering free samples when I visited, the menu and the cheery staff made me feel like I was in the right place for a great breakfast. What I was not ready for was how good their jalapeno cheddar bagels were, nor how tasty their turkey egg and cheese was! Next time, I may get a double, but boy was I was so happy with my sandwich. Crunchy outside with that chewy middle and the slight bake did all of the work. I even took a zatar and evoo bagel for the next day and it was just as good if it was fresh the day before. Absolutely crushing the bagel game here and I will readily and happily go back next time I'm in Beacon. read more

Cute little bagel shop right on the main ave with a great selection, friendly team and delicious bagels. They were the perfect stop the morning after a wedding in town, and the only thing our group was craving. While I am usually an everything gal, the rosemary & EVOO bagel was speaking to me. Very happy I listened. It went perfectly with my scallion & garlic cream cheese (at the rec of the nice lady behind the counter). OOF was that a good bagel. Loved loved loved the strong rosemary taste of the bagel and wish I brought a bag of these back to Jersey with me. They ask when you are ordering if you'd like a little, medium or a lot of cream cheese and I stupidly went with medium for everyone's. Always go a lot!! It was not a tiny amount but we all could have used much more shmear. Anyway, it was a great find and a great breakfast. I love sourdough bagels and the storefront was so cute so I tried a Za'tar Evoo bagel- it was so good! Soft and fresh, and the seasoning was incredible. Didn't get cream cheese, and it didn't need it. Truly so flavorful I ate the entire thing while walking Main Street. Workers are very friendly and welcoming! These bagels are fantastic! I came on a Sunday, and the store was almost entirely sold out. My friend bought the last three cheese bagels and I got a bag of six plain mini bagels. I live in Manhattan and will make an effort to always bring these back with me when I visit Beacon. They really are different and special. read more

The service was a bit slow, but the owner explained there were a couple of staff out sick for the day. The owner was friendly and sociable. She indicated that it's a strong value of hers not to have sick staff on site, which I can understand and respect. The bagels were so tasty! I really enjoyed my cheddar bagel, which had a nice crunch but was also delightfully doughy inside. My friend got the BEC soufflé, which was made fresh and was delicious! The bagels are made of sourdough and are less likely to cause an insulin spike. The owner explained that she has had folks with CGMs eat her bagels and there is not a spike in glucose. read more

Can I leave 10 stars? Let me just say it upfront - Bagelish is absolutely unhinged in the best possible way. This place has completely redefined what I thought I knew about bagels, and I'm honestly still recovering from the experience. I remember Beth from NJ and I used to beg her to open a storefront. Thank god she did. Worth the drive from Manhattan. Those bagels = gorgeous bubbled surfaces that practically glow. The way they've achieved that ideal bagel texture, with the shiny, crispy exterior, soft interior and chewy - it's insane!!!! The perfect bite every time. It is pure artistry. You can tell these are made with serious skill and attention to detail. Then they hit you with those cinnamon sugar churro bagel sticks, and suddenly you're questioning everything you thought you knew about breakfast. The coating is absolutely perfect - not too thick, not too light - and you can practically taste the cinnamon-sugar magic through the photo. These aren't just bagels anymore; they're edible art. The bagels here are amazing--honestly the best you'll find in this area! If they were open more often, my office would probably order from them every day. Unfortunately, the hours are pretty limited, so we usually have to wait until Thursday to get them. The bigger issue is the opening time. The store says it opens at 8am, so I've waited in my car until 8 and gone in right when they open. A few times I've been met with dirty looks or asked "Is it 8 yet?" even though it was already past 8. I also really enjoy their coffee, but it hasn't been ready at opening either. I'd just suggest making sure everything is ready to go at the posted opening time so customers feel welcome right away. That said, I'll definitely keep coming back because the bagels really are that good--just hoping to see a few improvements! read more

Easily one of the best bagels I've ever tasted and you can tell they care about what they do because of that. The bagel is crisp on the outside, soft on the inside and yes those cream cheeses are about as gourmet as it gets. Granted, it's a relatively small menu and not a location specializing in egg sandwiches, so do keep that in mind if you're specifically craving a SEC or BEC from a NYC bagel deli. This is not that place! In addition, the service was friendly and patient and while that's not something you pay for, it's certainly appreciated and welcomed in a world full of fast-casual corporations...actually it's better than those grumpy people working at high-volume local delis too. The place is small so it's definitely a grab-and-go establishment, but if you don't care about that sort of thing then I definitely recommend giving them a shot! With regards to any bad reviews, do people not look at the menu/prices before ordering? People come to Yelp for reassurance and it's pretty frustrating when places get "down-voted" for not fitting into a neat, little box. Whenever a place isn't some commercial franchise you should expect to pay a little more and if that's not your thing then don't return, but please have some foresight that negative reviews do more harm than good. We are going to eventually be left with mall-style food court options if that continues. My last review before this was in 2021 and had a similar rant. Lo and behold, that establishment is no longer in existence. I'm not saying we shouldn't be allowed to have opinions (I have plenty of reviews that are not 5's), but just try to be more kind in this day and age. There's food samples readily available of their bagels and everyone was so warm and kind to visit with. Food: The bagels are so soft on the inside with a nice firm crust on the outside. Coffee: fantastic hot and iced coffee with excellent depth Lox of love on the Rosemary bagel: Fantastic flavor with the samaki lox and the toppings. Wish I would have ordered two! Everything bagel with scallion cream cheese: similar to the lox, such great flavor with the bagel and the scallion cream cheese was so very fresh Jalapeño cheddar bagel with butter: nice warmth from the jalapeño with the cheddar to balance. Beacon is lucky to have Bagel-ish! I've never had a sourdough bagel I've liked, but Bagel-ish has cracked the code - these are great! The rosemary and olive oil bagel was a particular standout; the taste is reminiscent of focaccia. The cream cheese and sandwich fillings were spectacularly sourced, and I have to give a special shoutout to the lox: it's up there with Russ & Daughters as the best I've ever had. Ok, this place as well as others is a prime example what gentrification does to a place. Are the bagels unique? Yes, they are not like any other bagels that I have ever tried. Are they nice to look at? Yes. Do they seem to rely on this as a selling point and reason to charge exorbitant prices? Seems so. More than double what most places will charge you for more of a snack than a meal. $7.50 or so for a thin bagel and even thinner amount of cream cheese? Yes. Does it taste good? Yes. Could it be better? Yes, if something is asked to be toasted than it should come out hot and toasted. Not barely warm with just a slightly different texture than a non toasted bagel. New York prides itself on bagels. Bagel love is a mantra around these parts. A shmear of cream cheese in NY usually means a fairly good amount of cream cheese. Not here. The amount of cream cheese is paltry at best and for $7.50 they are not only trying to reinvent the wheel they are committing a sacrilege. Most of the decor seems like carefully curated marketing that is attempting to convince you that the raised prices are worth it. Clever, but empty when the product does not deliver on the promises made by all of the articles and adverts. The product is glossy like the rest of Main Street, but like the majority of Beacon reeks of overpriced, underdelivered and sadly an empty experience. The bagels are great, but hey have over priced sandwiches and bad coffee. Don't expect real bacon for your bacon egg and cheese sandwich. One very thin slice of Canadian bacon for the almost $13 egg sandwich! Your bad coffee will also be super small. Also out of iced coffee by 9;45am. My husband and I have been searching for great bagels in the Beacon area for quite some time. These bagels hit the mark! Their perfectly crispy exterior and chewy interior are to die for! My go-to is the rosemary bagel with house made garlic and scallion cream cheese. Yes the prices are on the higher side, but Beacon has become a such tourist destination. They are definitely worth the price compared to other bagel spots in the area. When the shop first opened the employees were rude and visibly looked as if they did not want to be at work. The new set of employees however are very kind and welcoming. The owner is passionate about her craft! My only advice for her would be to let her delicious bagels and interesting menu speak for themselves. There is definitely no need to oversell customers.
