Always wanted to try this bagel spot so finally got around to give it a go. The bagel was delicious. It was quite busy on the weekend so there is a bit of a wait but no biggie. It is definitely worth trying. They had many options.

Best bagels hands down in the Hudson valley Brooklyn style bagels by a great family Very clean store ,lots of selection Alex and his crew are a bagel service machine.

Sesame bagel with veggie cream cheese

Eastdale Ave Bagels is a good bagel shop in a cool food area that I believe is called Eastdale Village Town Center. The shop is modern and clean. Good selection of bagels and spreads. I ordered a Sesame Bagel with Veggie Cream Cheese. The bagel had good texture, chew and flavor. The bagel did not hold the sesame seeds well, however. The veggie cream cheese was above average. I could actually see pieces of vegetables, which surprisingly is not always the case at bagel shops. The cream cheese had good flavor and consistency. My wife had a similar experience with her bagel. 4.25 Stars

Called my order in advance: Dozen "special "NO ALLIUMS due to allergies was strictly met. Service on the phone was polite, albeit rushed( my fault since I phoned during what may have been the tail end of AM Rush) The sesame bagel was divine-fresh with a generous amount of sesame on BOTH sides. Ambiance is a bit rushed but the order was already paid for so it worked out well. TIP: NO DELI MEATS are for independent sale, but the tuna and other salads may be purchased by weight. So pleased that the tuna salad has no onions!! enjoy

Really enjoyed their bagels! I took the classic route with a plain bagel and plain cream cheese; sometimes you need to go back to basics. Service was great; I ordered and got my bagel in good time. There is a variety of breakfast sandwiches and bagel flavors; if I lived closer, I would be here all the time. This bagel shop was also conveniently near a number of great shops you can visit! Its mostly street parking but there's additional parking towards the back.

Everything Bagel

This Long Island bagel snob giving this bagel 5 stars is a big deal. Perfectly toasted crusty everything coated outside and soft chewy inside. Vegetable cream cheese was so flavorful and full of veggies. The iced coffee was definitely hot coffee over ice, would not recommend, but this experience was about the bagel so I'll let it slide. Great location in the super cute newer shopping area in Eastdale. Small inside with no seating so be prepared to take out. Can't wait to go back and try something else.

Sausage, Egg, and Cheese with a Hashbrown on an Everything Bagel

This was my first time trying Eastdale Ave Bagels while I was on a trip to visit to visit my family and wow, these bagels were amazing. This place is takeout only, barring some outdoor seating, but it is in the new beautiful Eastdale complex so this is a great place to grab a snack and hang out on a beautiful day. However, if you are looking for somewhere to sit inside, you may want to make some other arrangements. Unfortunately, it was pouring when I stopped in so we grabbed our bagels and took it home to eat. We ordered at the front with the cashiers and the sandwiches were ready in just a few minutes which was great. Super fast service compared to some other takeout places I've been to. I ordered a Sausage, Egg and Cheese with an added Hashbrown on an Everything Bagel and it was phenomenal. The best bagel I have had in a long time and the fillings were delicious. I believe the sandwich cost me somewhere in the ballpark of $7 so pretty reasonable compared to some other competitors in the area. I will definitely stop here again on my next trip to Poughkeepsie and highly recommend everyone make a stop inside!

All American Sandwich on a everything egg bagel
Darren G.

Came in here for a late breakfast on the go, very clean and organized bagel shop for sure. So I was acknowledged immediately and asked what I like to order, always nice. So I got an all American sandwich on an everything egg bagel. Barely took anytime to make sandwich, got say they are nice and speedy with orders. The sandwich was great, thick cuts roast beef, ham and turkey, and all meats were cooked just right, egg was runny and fried to perfection and plenty of melted gooey cheese. Usually a bagel sandwich is hard to do just right and man they did it justice. Now the pistachio muffin, was good, definitely had that fresh baked taste and made daily.

Hit the spot! Yummy bagels! Huge variety to pick from! I had to remove some cream cheese as it was a bit much. But that's a me problem not a them problem. I devoured my whole bagel!

The New Yorker minus cheese

Great breakfast sandwiches and quality bagels. Eastdale Ave Bagels is located in the heart of the new community. We enjoyed our breakfast bagel sandwiches outside at one of the sidewalk tables while the sun was shining and the weather was perfectly crisp. I had the New Yorker on a plain bagel and it was delicious. Sausage, egg, avocado, hash brown and franks hot sauce. It normally has cheese but I opted out with the avocado, but after having it, I think it could only would enhance it. Will be back, for sure! The coffee shop a few store fronts over - Crafted Kup - is one of my favorites also!

Found someone's hair in my bagel

I usually wouldn't complain, even when a place is really busy, but this was unacceptable. I was starving and excited for my bagel, only to find someone's hair pressed into it. You could even see the mark it left. Definitely disappointing.

bagels and receipts on the floor by the kitchen

Samantha was very dismissive. I understand that it's busy, but you should not make that the customer's problem. It should be managed in a way that this does not happen.. or invest in a bigger shop or more cashiers. Spoke to Alex, the owner, because our bagels were slightly off (as if it was done intentionally). Both of our bagels contained avocados in which we did not ask for. Although, we asked for salt pepper and ketchup and received none. One bagel was supposed to be an egg everything bagel and it came as a sesame bagel. I'm extremely upset by how I was treated by Samantha, not once but twice (in person and over the phone). The picture shown is the floor of the kitchen (receipts, bagels, and other random items all over the floor) which I don't know is exactly FoodSafe. Also, why is there a piece of plastic in my sandwich??? This is the second time I have ordered from this place, and I'm sorry but I won't be coming back. This wasn't a very pleasant experience as one of your customers. If you need good breakfast sandwiches, go to POUGHKEEPSIE GRIND

As good as bagels from my childhood growing up on Long Island. Their breakfast sandwiches are a perfect Sunday morning start.

I was told to order the #4 or the Vodka Chicken Parm hero. Ended up walking out with over $350 worth of food because I was so blown away. I'm not really sure where to begin: first of all as an Italian, walking into the restaurant already felt like home. I was blown away from the fresh made pasta's, various sauces I could take home, Arancini's (rice balls), and then how could I say no to the desserts. I was in heaven. I had a great conversation with the fabulous ladies behind the counter. I'm pretty sure everyone behind me picking up orders were like "can this guy leave already?". But I just had to continue chatting with everyone. The ladies helped me get everything from around the store that my heart desired. And then I remembered, I was supposed to come in and get a sandwhich. They showed me the screens mounted on the walls which clearly had a custom ordering template built out from the store with all the modification elements to add/remove toppings as needed. Blown away again. I'm a technology salesperson and that part hit a different satisfaction for me as they had this down - and quite honestly the Italian market/pork store is not where I'm expected the highest level of technology lol. Just blown away. Lastly, I told them about my fiancée and how her family owns DelFiore's pork store down on Long Island. At that point they grabbed Fabio, the owner, and we had an amazing conversation as I learned he knew exactly what DelFiore's was and even offered to help give us advice if we ever want to get into the family business. I was supposed to go in and get a rocking $25-$30 sandwhich and I walked out with $350 worth of food because I was being assisted by some of the nicest people I've ever met in the food industry. Just the most genuine caring people. Mind you, I had to schlep all of this back to Brooklyn NY in a Suburu Outback rental. And if you are wondering if everything stayed in the trunk on that drive back, fughetaboutit. I'm popping arancini's like candy on the Taconic home (no small feet with those turns). These people are in the food business because they care about making people's days and giving them the best possible food. Protect these people at all costs. This is a Mecca for quality Italian provisions. I'll be grabbing my fiancée and heading back up so we can continue chatting with everyone and not holding the lines up. 11/10 experience I'm blown away if you couldn't already tell. Just take my money, I can't pay enough for such enjoyable days. That drive home sucked at rush hour, but they all made it worth it. I like to think I gave them all a little enjoyment as well :). This place came recommended by the host at our bed and breakfast, and let me tell you, it completely delivered. Food: 5/5 I went with the #4: chicken cutlet, fresh mozzarella on focaccia , and wow. First of all, it was massive--no way I could finish it solo, so I split it with my husband and we were both blown away. The chicken was crispy and juicy, the mozzarella was so fresh, and the focaccia was fresh and perfectly chewy. It's honestly one of the best chicken cutlet sandwiches I've had--like, up there with the Red Hook Italian delis in Brooklyn. This sandwich had weight, flavor, and heart. Chef's kiss. My husband also ordered a side of meatballs, which admittedly took a bit longer, but he was obsessed with them, so no real complaints. I get it--the hot items take a little more time than the sandwiches. Service: 5/5 This isn't a sit-down spot--they've got a couple of chairs, but it's really more grab-and-go. That said, service was quick, friendly, and efficient. Our sandwiches came out in about 10-15 minutes, and the staff was great about keeping the line moving even when it got a little busy. Overall: This place is a gem. Total cost for both of us? Around $30, and it felt like a luxury lunch without the price tag. Generous portions, high-quality ingredients, and that classic deli charm. If you're anywhere near the Hudson Valley, do yourself a favor and stop here. I'd come back in a heartbeat.

It was a memorable experience, with excellent staff and service. However, my visit today was very disappointing. I stopped in to pick up sunflower bread, as previously recommended. At the counter, a staff member told me only garlic-onion bread was available today and that sunflower bread would be available tomorrow. I agreed to take the garlic-onion loaf and asked if it could be sliced, also mentioning that I planned to return the next day for sunflower bread. As I was completing the purchase, another staff member passing by stated that the bread was in fact sunflower. The first employee then changed course and asked how many I wanted. I requested one loaf and again asked if it could be sliced. He responded that they do not slice bread. I explained that during my visit last Wed., the breads have been sliced for us, and I also shared that I am a senior with a disability, specifically severe arthritis in both hands, which makes slicing difficult. A second staff member then interjected, stating that the bread should not have been sliced for me previously and that only sourdough is sliced, and only after 10 a.m. This interaction left me feeling uncomfortable and discouraged. The contrast between the welcoming, accommodating staff I encountered last Wednesday and today's experience was striking. Unfortunately, this visit significantly impacted my impression of Kelly's.
