    The New Yorker Sandwich

Finished a hike at Mt Beacon, and decided I needed some nourishment, so we stumbled upon this cute spot as we wandered down Main St. SZA was playing so the vibes were immaculate upon entry. It was a Saturday afternoon, staff was busy, direct, and efficient. Most importantly they made a delectable sandwich. I wanted hummus so I also purchased their hummus which is a blend of chickpeas and sour cream garlic and parsley. It's different from traditional hummus, but I don't mind it. I put it on a wrap, ate it with some fries and garlic hot sauce. DELICIOUS. I would encourage using it to spice up a veggie wrap, or any sandwich really! We were in a rush so I had to eat on the go, but literally it was so good I had to sit and savor the flavor before driving off. The pastrami is great quality, and balances impeccably with the crunch of the slaw and the sweetness of the Russian dressing. 10/10, highly recommended. Shout out to the couple sitting out front who looked so content eating this sandwich, if it wasn't for y'all not sure I would have ordered it!

This bagel shop deserves a lot of love for it's service, range of food options, and setup. Stumbled upon this shop after walking the strip through Beacon, eating and drinking my way through town. They have a ton of specials, spreads and "toffuti" spreads (including flavors like vegetable). They have plenty of staff available to take your order and begin making breakfast with the impact clearly seen by low waiting times (even with a packed house). If you're not interested in eggs or bagels, don't hesitate ordering treats like cannoli, crab cakes, marinated eggplant salad or even delicious looking chocolate eclairs. There is plenty of seating inside but no outdoor space, making it a bit challenging during COVID. Carrot cake and apple strudle also available, illustrating a very impressive picture of a bagel shop, coffee shop, and pastry shop mixed into one. The location isn't exactly convenient, at the end of the shopping strip, but heck - the town of Beacon is easily walkable and makes for a nice outdoor outing. Would certainly return here without hesitation.

In the neighborhood and was craving a bagel. Glad I came across the bagel Shoppe. Real fresh bagels. Loved the friendly staff. I have a everything egg bagel. A tad soft, but ok. I like a bit of a crunch but it was good. A great amount of vegetable cream cheese. My husband had the Irishman on a everyday bagel. Huge ! He said it was very good and by the look of it, it sure did look good. I was gonna ask for a bite but my Irishman doesn't like to share, lol. Grabbed bagel chips for later.

I ordered Uber Eats and the food was still warm. The bagel was really flavorful and freshly baked. I got an egg, avocado, tomato and cheese on an everything. The veggie burrito wrap was fresh! Lacking in flavor a bit but not bad. I would go here again and try more!

    They put salmon back...

Initially they forgot the smoked salmon for my bagel... Wasn't worth the $12+ anyways. The portion of tomato, onion, & capers was little, then unequal ratio to salmon. I asked for a jalapeño bagel, think they gave me plain... Olive & Pimento cream cheese is also bland. There were like 5 pieces of finely diced olive in it. Also initially forgot my iced coffee...

Some really interesting flavor combinations. The shop is TD tiny but they have a system that works very well so you'll be in and out fairly quickly The menus are well presented and easy to read even from five or 6 feet away so by the time you reach the counter, you already know what you're going to have. This is a pricey bagel experience, but well worth the quality. Noteworthy is that there is a kids menu, presumably with a smaller bagel, which I think is appreciated by the parents in the crowd. Tip for the Management: consider offering the kids menu to seniors also because some seniors can't eat much and that would be the perfect size breakfast or lunch Our order today was a cheddar cheese bagel, which was a cheesy flavored base dough with an abundance of cheddar cheese baked on top so the crispiness was a great contrast to the super soft tender bagel. We also got a sea salt bagel and a rosemary and olive oil oil with cream cheese. The three bagels, one with cream cheese, set us back about $12. If you're looking for great bagels for the whole family just plan accordingly Service was very nice and very prompt and the shop is colorful, bright, and lively

Location: This location is modern, yet it has a really cool vintage aesthetic, especially when you walk in and see the bar area. It's very spacious and perfect for a breakfast day, spending time with the family, or even going on a solo brunch. Sitting at the bar would be ideal. If I'm not mistaken, this location did not have parking, and we did have to look for street parking. It was a tad tedious because it is a pretty busy street, Still, it is worth going to. We did end up finding parking within 15 minutes, and if you're OK with that, then that should not be an issue. This is a casual attire breakfast spot. Service: The service was great, and our server was very kind and was able to serve a group of six of us with no issues.

The restaurant was busy but we were able to score a table. My wife ordered the Falafel burger with a side salad and I ordered the Vegan pancakes with Strawberries, bananas, and a side of homemade sausage. My wife loved her burger. Fat burger cooked fresh and on a brioche bun. My pancakes were good. Just the right amount of sweetness but very light on the bananas and strawberries. The homemade sausage was excellent. Two flat patties. Service was friendly but just ok. The prices are higher than your normal establishment for breakfast or lunch. Rent in Beacon is probably high. There is street parking but you are better off finding a public lot. The bathrooms were clean which is always a good thing.

We loved that they had a great variety of options, including many vegetarian options. I went with the egg & cheese sandwich and accidentally ordered it without the greens & sauce (whoops!). However, it was still delicious and satisfying. My husband got the avocado toast which was SUPER filling due to the hummus that was on it. He was only able to finish half of it. We also got a side order of fruit which, to my delight, was a bowl of berries! The fruit is seasonal so the combination might be different depending on what time of year you are visiting. Also, both of our coffees met our standards, which are a bit high these days. So kudos to them on that! The ambiance was absolutely incredible!!! Very well lit with a bright, welcoming atmosphere. We sat near the back of the restaurant (away from all windows), however we still felt like we were being flooded with sunlight. It was wonderful! Definitely recommend coming here to grab breakfast while visiting Beacon!

Price-wise, it felt right for what I got, and I'm always happy to support a local spot. The Black Forest was exactly what I needed on a winter afternoon. I ordered it as a hero and could only finish half. It was stuffed with hot turkey and melted Muenster cheese, and the bread had a great crunch while still keeping a nice chew. The Thousand Island dressing and coleslaw made every bite satisfying. It was definitely a wet sandwich with sauce dripping, and honestly, I loved that. I was excited for every bite.
