The food and coffee was delicious, very happy with that. The atmosphere was fine except that all of the tables were obviously dirty and the self serve coffee was at its last drip. One of the young girls working there was too busy eating French fries to attend to the place. I get being hungry while working but at least hide it. It looked so unprofessional especially while there was so much that needed to be attended to. Also the appearance from the outside makes the place look sketchy and like it's possibly closed so it could use some updating, some eye catching signage or liveliness in general. It's a small shop off the road, once you walk in you immediately get hit by the most delicious smell of bagels. They had many options, but I opted for the poppy bagel with jalapeño cream cheese. They slathered on the cream cheese and it had bits of jalapeño in it. I also tried the Pumpkin Cream Chai, one of their seasonal lattes, and it did not disappoint. I decided to stop here on the way home for breakfast. They didn't have gluten-free bagels, which was OK. I got eggs sausage and home fries instead. The wait time for the order was a bit long, but the restaurant was busy and all of the workers were working as fast as they could. The food was fresh and delicious. I intended to take a picture, but I ate it all too fast and forgot! You can call ahead or order online. This might save some wait time there. The inside is small and simple. Was in Highland today and needed to find a place for a quick lunch. I checked yelp and bagels and bites was highly recommended. One of the sandwiches mentioned in reviews was their eggplant and mushroom sandwich I trusted the reviews and tried it. I've attached the pictures to this post along with pic of the cold macaroni and cheese salad side item. Previous reviews did not do it justice. This is one of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time. The food here is great. Service people do not need to be overtly chipper or kind to you to get their job done efficiently. The WOMEN there are doing a fantastic job. Coffee is serve yourself so I'm not really sure what some of the people in the reviews are expecting in terms of service... you can order ahead thru yelp or call ahead and you tell them you're there to pick up, they hand you your food, you hand them your money and that's a great interaction. I waited 15 minutes for a disappointing dirty chai latte made by someone in a really bad mood. When I was finally served my beverage it was a medium instead of the small that I ordered. When I clarified that I had ordered a small instead (because I didn't want to be taking someone else's order), the barista rolled their eyes at me, went to the back room for two minutes, and returned with the same drink that had been poured in a smaller cup. I don't understand why they had to waste more of both of our time to give me a smaller drink but honestly I'm glad they did because this drink is nasty. B&B is awesome! They deliver all the way to our office on South Ohioville Road in New Paltz. My favorite is the 3 cheese burger with bacon & fries. Another coworker got a salmon falafel wrap in naan bread and they said it was incredible. Perfectly-sized portions every time, fast delivery...food is always fresh and absolutely delicious. Unfortunately there aren't many places to get decent bagels near me, so my friends and I make the 10-15 minute drive over to Bagels & Bites for bagels. Each time we've been, they haven't had everything bagels.. It's a bit of a bummer. We get their onion bagels instead, toasted and with cream cheese. I admit, it hits the spot and is better than any bagel I've ever had back home. However it's not oh-so satisfying, and we wouldn't be coming here if we didn't have zero options in our area. Their coffee is okay, as is their service. I think it depends on the person and on the day, because we've had good experiences and not-so-great ones. I'm still interested in eating-in, as we've only ever had takeout bagels, so take that into consideration. I'll be coming back, though. Hopefully I can snag an everything bagel soon! read more

We've been going to Bagels & Bites as a family for quite some time. Even longer than I know... My wife began stopping there on the way home from Poughkeepsie on occasion and brought bagel sandwiches home for lunch, etc. We've always been very happy with the food. One thing that impressed me was that they were the first bagel shop to make a jalapeno bagel that I actually liked. Major kudos. More recently we started going there with the 4 of us for lunch and the food and service have been excellent each time. Try their sliced pork shoulder with pears and cayenne mayo for an awesome lunch treat! If I had one minor criticism, it's a bit pear-heavy. But I love pears so much that it hardly matters. They also have a great selection of drinks, which include lots of "natural ingredient" drinks that our family really appreciates. Try them out! They rock! read more

I ordered a Pork and Pear sandwich after reading good reviews...just finished it...not impressed. The flavor was good, but SKIMPY !! At $9.00, I expected a fairly good sized sandwich - wrong. The pork was all put in the center (about 1/2 inch) and nothing on the rest of the bun! The pears were undescribale, I thought they were apples, but, really? $9.00 for a skimpy, unwilling sandwich? But I will say, that dealing with the front counter girls is absolutely maddening. 4 times out of 5 I'll call and get put on hold, but instead of taking my call when they finish the task they're working on, they just leave me on hold for 10 minutes. Small cute place. Better than I was expecting based on the location, but I should know better than to judge a book by its cover. We ordered 4 muffins (double chocolate, blueberry, lemon cranberry, and apple), a cheese danish, and two breakfast sandwiches on a hard roll (sausage and turkey, I wanted bacon but they ran out). I went on Labor Day at 11 am and it was too late to try their bagels because they were just about sold out, so next time I will make sure to get out sooner. The prices are very reasonable! The muffins were delicious, as was the danish. The breakfast sandwiches were good, not anything surprising or great, but they were good and I will be early enough to get bacon and have it on a bagel next time. I look forward to trying more items on the menu. The staff were pleasant and looked like they were happy to be there. Perfect! This is a great little coffee, bagel, and sandwich place, with freshly made bagels and creative sandwiches. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Despite the undistinguished exterior, the inside was very nice and cozy and full of locals greeting each other. I ordered the tandoori chicken sandwich, which came with a lovely assortment of vegetables, freshly made raita, and a tasty broccoli side salad. The sandwich was delicious, and presentation was very nice.
