Came by to get a quick lunch, I can say this place is very busy, I saw four women behind the counter making sandwiches left and right like a well oiled machine, but despite that I got noticed right away and placed my order. Kind of weird though even though I was very clear with my order they got confused and my sandwich was made after 5 people who ordered in person after me, bit disappointed they disorganized. They were still very pleasant and I got sandwich. So cracked pepper club was very good, very generous with meat and the sandwich definitely had a weight to it, not one those air and bread sandwiches you get elsewhere. read more

They use high quality deli meats which was the big selling point for me. Walked in and there were plenty of employees behind the counter, all of them working hard to fill orders. They easily kept up with the lunch rush, so don't be afraid to stop in if you're in a hurry. I had the blackened turkey specialty sandwich on a hard roll and it was great. I didn't get any pictures but I ordered a classic bacon egg and cheese, salt pepper ketchup on a hard roll. Rolls were fresh, eggs were made right but the bacon was sliced very thin. You almost have to get double bacon to fulfill your classic breakfast sandwich craving. But altogether a great place with friendly customer service. read more

The office orders lunch from here on a daily basis. The food is always good with new specials every day. They usual higher quality meats and cheeses than other delis we've ordered from. I just recently started a new job in the area and was so disappointed when I discovered that 98% of the places to dine in New Paltz were mediocre and over priced- until I found this hidden gem! First things first they are ALWAYS busy. You will most likely not be able to order over the phone and if you order in person you can expect a wait BUT- it will be the best damn sandwich you ever had! The lovely counter lady in charge is sweet and pretty but that's just a bonus. Any sandwich I order is mouth watering delicious and I am not the type to like to try new things- but with this place I am never afraid to order something new! I recommend the jacks bird for a zesty and flavorful option (nice meal in the summer) or a fiery bull for cold day because it's spicy and delectable but not overpowering. Ive lived in New Paltz about a year now and this deli in neighboring highland a couple plazas next to Lowes is my favorite place to eat. I've brought friends here from Syracuse, Buffalo, Long Island, etc. and they all loved the sandwiches they've gotten. The food is top quality, they handle orders fast, the bread and wraps are excellent, and the staff are great. Its almost always busy when I go. The folks behind the counter are all cool and very fast with the orders. I usually call ahead if I'm planning to go and it's always ready to grab and go when I get there. I honestly cant think of anything I dont like about the place except maybe that it's not open very late on the weekends (when I sleep in ). If you google the website they even post daily specials up in pdf so you can call ahead the order. I havent tried bfast there bc new paltz bagel is closer more convenient for me in the am, but the lunch is the best youll get in the area if you ask me. Lots of contractors, police, field workers, etc. patron there, so thats a good sign for you to know that its good (we eat everywhere). This is a spotlessly clean deli with a large and varied menu. I'm partial to the California Wrap, (chicken, avocado, romaine lettuce and pesto mayo in a whole grain tortilla), the reubens, philly cheese steak sandwiches, chicken parmigiana and the meatball subs. The salads are made fresh daily and they have a huge assortment of beverages, pastries, chips and fresh cold cuts (they even roast their own beef). The food is great! Hot meals, deli sandwiches and breakfast all tasty and great quality. My only qualm is checkout. It can get very chaotic in there during peak hours and if there could be a more orderly way to pay or pick-up food and be in and out, it would make a world of a difference!!
