Good food, they just turn their grill off at 2. Wish you could get Philly cheese steaks at dinner time.

I think I too interacted with Kenny, much like Skrilla did. However, he might have learned a tiny…read morebit about interacting with customers now. (I don't know, I wasn't careful to read nametags and the register receipt said CSH:10 (if that means anything) for an appearance at 15:11:53 today.) (Mobil, please contact me only for a transaction number, if CSH means nothing.) I had been wanting to come here so many times since I first noticed this Mobil station across the traffic light on Main Street across from the exit from the Thruway at New Paltz. Though I knew I had my Plenti card at home (for the Plenti program ending soon), when I saw the gas pumps say that I must insert my Plenti card, I knew I had to do something. At other locations I would have been able to get around and access my Plenty Loyalty card right from the pump, but this trip was so different. It had no extra button to get to access it, so I felt stuck. I knew I could go in and prepay, but it seemed like as soon as I got in there, the clerk behind the counter got snippy and after every word I tried to say (and answering his question), he'd repeat the question or go onto a new question. I knew all Mobil's had a way to access an alternate ID for my account, but this person really had the audacity to keep asking me questions after they just asked that same question. I was only picking up $10 in gas using my chip-styled debit card (because Mobil isn't accepting my GasBuddy card which would help them bring in more money), but it seemed like this place really didn't want my money. I was doing it(I had forgotten to pick it up at the Plattekill service station), regardless of gas price being higher than the normal average in the Hudson Valley (average gas price about 3.00 whereas here it was 3.19/gal. I was bound to do this sometime, so why not get it today when it first came to mind and had realized I had needed to pull-in and check out the dozens of text messages from my brothers who were group-chatting and were driving me bonkers as I went up the Thruway heading towards home. I filled up my mother's gas tank (though it barely touched it at 1/4 tank from nearly empty) and proceeded to exit. And although I had no real concern over seeing what was heading westbound, when I tried to travel east on Main St/Rte 299, I overshot my lane and ended up having to wait for the g.('Oh Holy One')d. traffic light holding me up for more than a couple minutes (back end in the Thruway on-ramp lane). Otherwise, the trip at the gas pumps was ample, but watch your money, as you spend way too much here.

Terrible customer service. After paying for my gas I go in to tell him I put the wrong number…read morebecause it's ineligible. He tells me that someone already took the gas. There was NO CAR at the pump number. He was lying and took my money. This was already after the pump wasn't working had error codes on TWO pumps. So I went in for help and he ended up stealing from me. The actual store itself is also very dirty. Major work needs to be done. New Paltz has so many other great gas stations don't bother coming here.

I never imagined much, but having had riders who were planning to take themselves to a party at an industrial plant near the Residence Inn, I knew I needed gas, but was so planning to see other stations besides the Shell and Speedway stations in/near New Paltz, saw this and fell in love at first sight. I saw the temperature was getting cold, but never thought more than enough times that -1 degree Fahrenheit was really cold to try and pump. When I saw that there were no cars, I thought nothing of the temperature and decided to pump gas with my GasBuddy card at a Pay-at-the-Pump transaction. (more (side note) on this momentarily). I got out of my vehicle and thought about the feeling of being warm in the -1 degree Temperature (try to think positive when it's impossible in this life) and proceeded over to use the terminal. When I got there, my first notice was the contactless reader on the gas terminal itself: first time I've seen an Apple Pay contactless reader on gas pumps, and boy...if the GasBuddy card would've had that functionality I would've chosen it for ease of use. But I had to insert the card because it didn't have this functionality with it. (/me is annoyed: IRC terminology for "I am annoyed at the situation.") Upon beginning to pump, I was requested to watch a video on the TV monitor. It displayed an ESPN program from that days' airings, and although I don't mind sports news, I know that not everyone is happy to see this type of news at the pumps. But I didn't like was what followed the short 1 minute snippet of sports news: the weather. I knew quite a bit about the weather and seeing the upcoming predictions for that night's lows really made it uncomfortable to stand there. I saw it was supposed to get snippy cold (down to -8 degrees Fahrenheit) where to a point, all I wanted to do was finish up the fill-up and head back to my car, not stopping later for my receipt. If you want to keep your customers, don't pressure your customers to watch this type of information the moment they begin to pump their gas. Perhaps that's the reason why no one was around, and no other cars were present filling up and such.
