Roast Pork Special Sandwich - So juicy and flavorful!
    Dimitri S.

I love this place! The sandwiches, the banter, watching the magic of making the sandwiches come together at the counter. The specials are always top notch. The AEPhi is always a great choice. I'm going later today!

Yummy wraps - perfect for hiking and hitting the road. Got tuna wraps - would love to try the other ones next time!

Amazing simple fresh sandwiches here, appreciate a simple written menu with exactly what in every sandwich. I got Tom's pesto and there plenty of meat, not a huge amount of the greens as filler and two slices of fresh mozzarella, with homemade pesto. Peasant bread was amazing too, soft but with a great crust.

So glad this place is here. No need to drive to POK. The panini are fresh, delicious and tasty!! I got some chicken salads. This could be hit or miss, a lot of times with too much mayo or not enough seasoning. This was spot on. Pickles are lovely and crispy. We walked in with no one there and all before 1130 the place was packed w regulars. By 11:50 all of our food was wolfed down. Insert happy babies and happy mom. Thanks for the advice, patience in choosing breads, and a FAST, convenient, lovely and easy lunchtime fix. Would Definitely recommend and return. The space is a market selling spice blends, pickles , and sauces. To the right is the kitchen where the magic happens. An efficient space and friendly service w a smile.

Hands down the best sandwiches in New Paltz! I am addicted to the pickles! Came in yesterday with a few friends who have never been to Franks before, now they cant wait to go back! Fast service, not expensive, fun names for the sandwiches, highly addictive pickles.

Left: Trifecta Combo, Front: Chicky Bird, Middle Bottom: Mushroom Salad, Middle Top: Olive Salad, Right: Log of Mozzarella!

Frank's fresh is always well worth the stop! You can't go wrong here. This place has great sandwiches for pretty affordable prices. Everything is usually worth it, but my personal favorites are the 1) Mushroom Salad, 2) Olive Salad, For Sandwiches: 1) Chicky Bird, 2) Trifecta Combo, 3) Joe Fatz

A Smorgasbord of Frank's Pickles Sandwiches!

First encountered Frank's Fresh Pickles the day after I moved to New Paltz a week ago. A friend introduced me to it as a "go to." I was skeptical. I'm from Astoria, NY, I grew up a bit of a deli snob. I mean, we know "good deli" in Queens! But I stopped in another day and asked one of the guys making these awesome sandwiches) l aaked one he liked best. He said, "The Julio!" (named after himself I later learned!) And I was blown away! So much that yesterday I ordered a Julio, a Daddy Slaw, a Cubano, an AE Phi, and an Italian Combo on my way back down to see my family! Their Queens skepticism disappeared immediately as my 3 year old grandson exclaimed "These are GOOD ... I like what you brought us so much!" through mouthfuls of hoagie, turkey and pesto!

One of the best sandwiches in the Valley. I was hoping for a good meal and all expectations were surpassed.

Really good sandwiches- slightly disappointed that sandwiches that were listed without lettuce were covered in piles of shredded lettuce.

We ordered that every time we have eaten here in the past. Weird burger combos were noted. I asked about a burger with gorgonzola cheese - instead of the feta cheese that came on one of the burgers. I was told no - they don't have any. Their other restaurant right next door makes a gorgonzola burger. They are always going back and forth to get stuff - why couldn't they just say yes, and grab a bit of gorgonzola from next door? Note that this was around 5:00 pm and there was just one other table occupied, and two people at the bar who were leaving. I wanted a burger, but didn't like any of the weird choices, so I got a Reuben sandwich. The fries were good, but for $17, I would have hoped the corned beef would be good as well. It wasn't very moist or fresh - in fact there were weird brown areas on the meat. I chalked it up to a bad choice. My partner ordered the Philly steak sandwich on a baguette. He has had the French dip sandwich there in the past and liked it. Unfortunately it was no longer on the menu, so he ordered the closest thing. He said he would not order it again, and that says a lot. I tasted it - and it was just not very good. Sorry to say but it is unlikely we will be back.

On the weekends it turns on a late-night party scene filled with college students. It is lined up right in Main Street with other smaller restaurants and bars. This was one of my favorite cheap eateries in the town while I was in college. I have been here twice since for happy hour specials. I ordered the chicken wings and the shrimp tacos. The drinks were around $5 which is a steal compared to New York City prices. In the past they used to offer a large fishbowl drink for your birthday. It was huge and took several people to drink it. Currently it is the size of a large cup as you can see in the picture. It does the job but it is much smaller than what it was in 2010. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. I usually sit at the bar which is a great place to meet others and watch the game. Everyone usually comes in for drinks and a quick meal. There are large tables for families to come in and spread out. Everyone was nice here. I plan to come back soon and take advantage of the happy hour specials again.
