The cranberry jam, mozzarella, homemade fries and view of the brook are the best parts about this quaint spot. I wouldn't be like "omg you have to try this place when you're in Woodstock" but it's definitely a solid and soothing spot for great paninis. You can dine in, but we took out the O'Henry and Ava Maria - similar sandwiches with cheese and spread, but the O'Henry comes with chicken. Definitely recommend the O'Henry over the Ava Maria, which was a little too green and lettuces for my gluttonous self. The fries are unstoppably good - 5 Stars perfection of salt and potato.

My group of friends have been coming here on our annual Catskills trip for the past 3 years since Emily was at the shop! We are so happy for her that she turned an intimate sandwich shop into a beautiful restaurant & bar. It blows my mind that she was able to do that! AMAZING. Really shows that when you have a dream & a passion, you can do ANYTHING! I got the goat cheese & house made jam in the gluten free wrap with a side of fries & my 3 other friends got the O'Henry with sides of fries (their favorite, they literally talk about it ALL year until the next time we come!) My wrap was light & FULL of goat cheese & the jam was a beautiful pair for the goat cheese. If you're obsessed with goat cheese like I am, THIS is the sandwich for you. I REALLY loved this & I'm probably going to crave it until next year LOL! The fries were DELICIOUS & I'm now obsessed. The siracha aioli was great to dip the fries in! Emily is always so nice & always gives us great advice on local eats. Thank you Emily, for making our annual trip complete each & every year.

We gave this place two stars for the homemade chicken soup. The soup was delicious. However, we did not like our sandwiches. The meatloaf sandwich had more mayonnaise than actual meatloaf. The bread was cold and didn't taste fresh. The other sandwich we ordered was the O'Henry. That sandwich was a sloppy mess. It was impossible even to hold it. The restaurant also had annoying flies making it difficult to eat or have a conversation. The worst part of the meal was finding a hair in the fries. That ultimately turned us off from this place. We didn't make a fuss about it because our waitress was attentive and kind.

Cute little sandwich shop in Woodstock. The guy who took my order picked his ear, then touched his face. Thank the lord he wasn't making my sandwich or I probably wouldn't have eaten it. I asked for a coke and he started cutting cake, I asked him what he was doing and that I asked for a coke. He must be one of those that's been in Woodstock a little too long. The drinks in the cooler aren't cold enough unless you just want a water. Ava Maria - mozzarella, goat cheese & pesto - it was good. It I felt as if it was missing something, like a tomato. Overall good sandwich that was easy to travel with. Cheers & Enjoy!

Before I forget....Barbara was our server and she was AWESOME!!! The food was soooo good. We ordered the meatloaf and the Reuben sandwiches and split them. The meatloaf was so flavorful. Reuben was nice and lean. Coleslaw was fresh and crunchy...handcut fries cook perfect. Excellent meal and worth the cost...Did I mention the view from the table...beautiful!!!

First-delicious, freshly prepared food and friendly and efficient service. Locally sourced ingredients, environmentally responsible. Locally owned and run with an interest in supporting the local community. BUT perfectly reasonable prices, in line with any deli/bakery. In fact, the food is a bargain when you consider the effort that goes into every item sold. From the house-baked breads, locally sourced meats, dairy, and veggies to the on site butcher. I can't say enough about the extent to which this shoppe goes to put out the best food possible, best for the community, best for the customer.

Best breakfast sandwich ever! Did you hear that? BEST BREAKFAST SANDWICH EVER!! If you like meat, pork to be exact, this place might blow your mind. My partner had the sausage, egg and cheese and had to take pics of the sausage patty to send to his brother, who is a chef. The meat is grass-fed and all made in-house. As a vegetarian, that didn't impress me much. What did impress me was the simple farm fresh egg (the yolk was so velvety), cheese, tomato and arugula on homemade focaccia. That focaccia! Like eating a pillow, and I mean that in the best possible way! This sandwich had me at first bite. Hell, it had me at the wrapper - butcher shop paper held together with a rubber band. It's so nondescript inside that I was a little worried before I got my sandwich. Could all these yelp reviews and verbal recommendations I received really be true? I think I was expecting the inside to be less butcher shop and more deli but quickly got past the pig-friendly (unfriendly?) environment and focused on the baked goods behind glass and some great art on the walls. Planning a trip to the Catskills soon and I just have to find an excuse to stop in Woodstock so I can get another one of their sandwiches! Do believe the hype!

But somewhere in the last few months, the kitchen's lost its touch. Two weeks ago my pasta came out looking rich and promising, but the cheese had clearly been melted ages before- cold, congealed and sad by the time it hit the table. I had to send it back just to get it warmed. Then came their famous chocolate ganache balls we love with strawberry coulis. Except now, the scoops are deformed with zero coulis and replaced with caramel instead. Why change something that worked so well? Hubs and I thought maybe it was just an off night. Came back Halloween weekend with my daughter, hoping for some sort of redemption. Nope. Same story. Plus the Vegetarian hand pies my kid and I ordered were cold. The only thing still holding this place up is the nice menu selections that only reads well on paper and for sure, their cocktails: strong and creative.-

We were tucked away in an indoor/outdoor area with gorgeous orange comfy chairs. We did not come in with a reservation. Again this place was a stumbled upon gem. The food.....holy cow. Heavenly. Our two meals tasted so vastly different so it was great that we were each able to sample the other's and they were both SO tasty. We asked our server for a special dessert for his birthday, she asked if we liked bananas and we enthusiastically said yes. Next thing we know, this decadent warm banana and caramel creation is coming towards us with a giant sparkler. This was probably hands down....one of the best desserts I have ever had in my life. But when I want to have an elevated experience with a nod to fine dining, this is my go-to. I always bring friends from out of town here and everyone is impressed. The bartenders make the best martinis and Manhattans you'll find, along with a seasonal cocktail menu that features something for everyone, including mocktails. When I don't want a full dining experience but the hubs and I have a babysitter, we like to sit at the bar for martinis and oysters - SO FRESH! If you don't do oysters, anything on the appetizers list is a wonderful light bite. I don't know what kind of magic the chef uses to make the salads but they are always simple, yet stunning. For dinner, the steak is hard to pass up if you eat red meat. I usually get the single serving NY strip, which is incredible. You can't go wrong. I'm excited to try the porterhouse for 2. My mollusk loving friend raved about the mussels and the fish selection is fantastic. I'm not a big dessert person, but splitting any of the desserts is a treat. Alternatively, the digestif selection doesn't disappoint. The bartenders and bar manager, Nick, are helpful in guiding your taste buds to the right choice. Bud, the owner, whose previous establishments can be read about in some respectfully placed articles around the restaurant, is always accommodating for the busiest place in town. It's nearly impossible to get a seat on Friday and Saturday nights from 6-9, but he will be honest and create a space at one of the little side bar areas if he can. The ambiance is sexy and sophisticated with a touch of whimsy. The toilet paper holder in the restroom always makes me smile (IYKYK). Having been to this restaurant many times, you'll start to see familiar faces as there is now a strong regular crowd. The community and connections that I've found while at Lyonshare have enhanced my experience of living in Beacon. Oh, last thing - brunch is a can't miss, must do culinary event.
