I came here super excited for the bombolinis. I tried the Nutella bombolini and wasn't super super impressed. The donut was fresh and soft but it was also a little dry, especially paired with Nutella which is a little thick/dry. It was good and I was happy to eat it but I don't think I would really crave it/hype it up. I was more impressed with the apricot croissant. The croissant was very soft and the apricot jam was the right amount of sweet. I also tried the veggie quiche which I was very happy with; nice savory option. Latte was good. I came here for my afternoon dose of caffeine. I had an Iced Pumpkin Spice Oat Milk Latte, and my husband had a Mocha Latte. My latte had just the right amount of pumpkin flavor without being too sweet. I'm not sure what my husband thought about his latte, but he didn't have any complaints. The driving forces behind Caffe are brother and sister who have set themselves apart in the last 2 years from another well-known cafe-type place also on Mill Hill Rd in Woodstock. Unlike the other eatery, these folks bring an array of yummy, moist, yeasty donuts, sell Italian packaged products- but have a smaller selection on bakery items. Caffe is on the smallish side- but their high ceiling and large, live edge communal high table make the entire space appear larger than what it is. Bombolonis are perfectly lined on your left as soon as you walk in- followed by already-prepared sandwiches and other bites. All the Bombolonis looked divine but their Nutella won big time! The donuts are packed with filling- but can I dare say I wish they could've been more jam-packed with even more Nutella? Still, my doughnut was insanely delicious, tender and juicy. I love this little place. Excellent coffee (really great cortado and delicious dirty chai), and their food selection is perfect for breakfast. Donuts, pastries etc are all good, but I also had a salmon croissant that blew my socks off. Never seems to be overly busy so you can get in and out quickly. They allow dogs, which I like. What a treat for Woodstock! I don't know why it took me so long but when I finally went in, my mind was blown in the most amazingly delicious way. I also bumped into some of my favourite people and I found out that the owner and people who work here are also some of my favourite people! The coffee is incredible, it's like any amazing coffee you would find in Italy or France or America, the food is ridiculously amazing and gorgeous and delicious and I could go on and on. The atmosphere is lovely, and I honestly could eat one of everything so I can only go every other day! Every time I've been I've tried something new and have been so delightfully delighted a.k.a. pleasantly surprised in the best way. Yesterday, I think I really did get one of everything and ate half of it before I went to bed! So glad you are here see you again soon! I took a really cool video but I can't post it here sadly. I usually prefer to write no revue at all rather than write a negative one, especially when it comes to a small business in my home town, but because it IS local I want it to succeed, so I offer this revue in the hope that it will be heeded. First the good--The coffee was excellent. Now the bad--I ordered a breakfast sandwich, bacon and egg on an English muffin. It was pre made and needed to be heated on a panini press. I understand that and I was happy to wait for it. It was delivered and it was hot. Very hot. Too hot to touch in fact so I let it cool down a bit. Inside, the egg was barely warm, but at least it was cooked. Cannot say the same for the thick bacon which was essentially raw. An egg McMuffin has more going for it. Needless to say the sandwich went uneaten. I waited for the customer line to thin out and I went to the server/barrista/cashier, complimented her on the fine coffee and let her know about the sandwich. I got a lukewarm apology which was very much like the sandwich. Steamy on the outside and lukewarm inside. And no incentive to return in the way of a refund or a credit for that pricey Egg McMuffin. read more
