Cute coffee shop with fun decor and people! Really cool comic figurines to look at and lots of local ads. Ive stopped in a couple times and it's a nice coffee shop that does the trick with no fuss coffee and a nice menu for a light breakfast or lunch! The breakfast burrito was pretty good and I'm never disappointed by my cappuccino! The service is also quick and the people who work there are very nice as well. read more

The interior is really cute with nostalgic characters all over like Simpsons, peanuts, and more! The muffins are pretty good; baked fresh daily (get there early)! The drip coffee is good if you arrive early. Otherwise the containers are empty and or luke warm. The owner I'm assuming is probably a really kind person generally; but the day we stopped in most recently she was cold and off putting. My first review of this coffee spot was 5 years ago. Nothing has changed. Regular and locals are fully aware that if you walk in here you will wait 10 minutes to place your order. Even if it's a cup of drip coffee which is self serve expect to wait 10 minutes to pay for it. You might just walk out cause you don't know if anyone will ever come out of the back because somebody ordered a toasted bagel and they must go in the back to make it. You might think "oh only one person in front of me it shouldn't take long" nope 10 minutes minimum. A slow winter Tuesday morning or a busy weekend in Fall still expect to wait 10 minutes even if there's no one online. What you didn't notice is the two people sitting in the corner that ordered 2 things. It is one of the better cups of coffee around so basically if any other customer is in the store prepare to wait. It's usually quiet and plenty of seating. Or you can go to the next establishment that somehow figured out that a person shouldn't wait 10 minutes in an empty store for a cup of coffee. .....and no I am not exaggerating....also no this isn't a case of "it's the country things move slower" - this isn't the country unless you are from the city, to city people this is basically Canada. read more

Cute little coffee shop off of the Main Street. As a prior reviewer mentioned, there is one staff member working (owner maybe?) but does her best to get things done in a timely manner. Hey, I came for a great cup of coffee-grinding, brewing, or all takes time. I'd rather wait a little and have an amazing cup of coffee-over a quick serve watered down cup. If you want fast service go to a McDonald's. If you want a locally roasted delicious coffee, come to Bluestone. Because I was having the coffee inside, I was offered a coffee mug and told To help myself-free refills! Amazing! The bluestone brew is so good I purchased a bag of beans to take home and ground to post to a friend. The last ground the beans for me to the desired fine. When ordering I mentioned I was a little hungry but not enough for their plates offered and I wasn't in the mood for anything sweet (though all their baked goods looked delicious), the lady offered to do avocado toast. The delicious avocado toast and unlimited refills of coffee was $7, that's right, $7! I was in heaven. I enjoyed three cups of coffee. I left to do some shopping and before leaving the area went back and ordered an iced coffee for the road. Definitely will be back again-DELICIOUS coffee. read more

Our first time in Saugerties, and we wanted to get coffee/brunch to take back to our Airbnb. The town is so cute and Bluestone fits right in. It looks like a popular neighborhood spot, as there was a wait for our food and a constant flow. They have a variety of coffee options, breakfast meals, smoothies and juices. We opted for the bluestone burrito, the ashley, and a smoothie & coffee. Smoothie and coffee were good, but we were a little disappointed by the food. The breakfast burritos are on the smaller side, and nothing special. The Ashley is avo toast with eggs and homefries. We didn't eat it that much later from picking it up, but the avo was very brown (I know this is just oxidation and doesn't affect flavor) and quite tasteless. I thought the lemon & pepper would add more, but not in this case. read more

I am down for the local coffee shop and this one does not disappoint. Prices are reasonable and atmosphere is nice with friendly staff. If you dine in, Blue Stone asks that you use the regular mugs instead of the disposable paper cups to cut down on waste and due to shortages. That's good with me. There's a few different drip coffee roasts available every day ranging from light to dark and you can't go wrong with any of them. I didn't know there was breakfast but saw someone had eggs so I definitely got breakfast burrito and taco the next couple times and they hit the spot. No salsa but hot sauce is available. Visited Bluestone Roasting while staying for a weekend in the Catskills. Nice cafe. Solid espresso drinks, with alternative milks available including oat milk. The gobbler sandwich was very good, made with smoked turkey, tomato, lettuce, onion, avocado, and spicy mayo on Bread Alone's peasant bread. Comes from the ground coffee. Saugerties you sneaky little...where you been hiding this one? In our hotel room, there was a free bag of Bluestone ground coffee. At home, I take whole beans, grind them, and then make my coffee. It has been a while since I have entertained the idea of ground coffee. But lemme tell you: This is the most memorable ground coffee I have ever had in my life. Yes, I live across from NYC...but this spot on earth in America in New York in Saugerties on Partition St. REALLY is REALLY amazing and I REALLY mean it. Maybe it's just me but I hate not being acknowledged when walking into and waiting for my turn to order. We literally stood there for 10 minutes waiting behind only ONE customer who was getting a pour over. There were two folks behind the bar. I would have loved to have given them my business, but they just did not seem to care. I want someone to care! Is there food there? I saw a menu. I didn't realize there was a back patio. Were we supposed to walk back there to sit and order? If only we had been acknowledged, I would have asked. There is a collection of Simpson's figurines. The barista told me that one of their regular customers brings them one every time he comes in. That same barista didn't communicate if my wife should get her own coffee or not and did not bring me the green tea that I ordered. I had to ask someone else for it. The other barista with the "no man's land) shirt was great. We weren't given any napkins or silverware with our meal. There was a napkin container on the counter, but it was empty.
