Such a cute trendy little spot! Stopped here on a walk around town and I'm so glad I did! Josie's coffee shoppe is absolutely adorable and really conducive to a study session, reading, hanging out with friends! I absolutely loved the interior and ended up getting one of their seasonal lattes to go which was absolutely delicious. I got the brown butter lemon vanilla latte with oat milk and all the flavors blended so well without tasting artificially syrup-y. It came out to around $9 but the quality of the coffee was really good. I'd love to stop by again to try some of their food as well. The barista was super nice and welcoming and I highly recommend stopping in if you're in the area. read more

This place is very welcoming feels like you are walking into an old county store from the 1970's. The woman behind the counter is fantastic, smiling face and knowledgeable of items they serve. They have GF pancakes which my wife loved. I had the egg sandwich which was good but very basic. Coffee and Lattes were spot on. The rest of my group all enjoyed their coffee. I adored this little gem. Lovely coffee shop right across from our Airbnb. It had a very rustic, relaxed vibe and I loved the set up outside as well. The staff were friendly and even brought out our coffees while we were waiting outside at our table. The coffee was fresh and tasty and my husband's bagel was also delicious. Visiting for a wedding and my favorite thing to do is check out locally owned coffee houses. Hubby ordered a hot chocolate- yes in the summer and I had their brown sugar oat milk latte. We both ordered the currant scones. Price was reasonable- 18 and change. Still cheaper than Dallas. My latte was on point. Yummy. I enjoyed the scone. Hubby felt it was a little dry. They do have a food menu. The inside is clean and quaint but we chose to sit outside on their patio. I highly recommend a visit to this wonderful little coffee shop read more

If you're a coffee genius like my husband is, a cup (or glass) of hot or cold coffee, is the holy grail of his morning ritual. Josie's is nice for breakfast items too. Aside from the several places that open early for breakfast we've visited in Woodstock, many are closed come Wednesdays and Thursdays. So we tried our hand at venturing to nearby town of Saugerties for some a.m. bites. And since the town is practically 'right there' taking the backroads from Woodstock, we went with it. Josie's corner Partition St. spot is cute. Has these red and white cabana-esque sun umbrellas contrasting against their grey outside. Charming indie feel inside with bare wood tables, white walls, wooden slab floor, colorful area rugs and a fierce brick fireplace wall. But I also thought their ventilation system must be remarkable because Josie's did not smell like food... neither did I. Menu isn't fussy. Place your order and pay first, then brought to you. My Vanessa Egg Scramble was different and good resembling a breakfast "bowl" with the tomatoes, avo, and cheese- plus the eggs were moist- and hubs liked his BEC and fully enjoyed their iced Americano. He and I talked about how juicy the eggs were in our dishes then mentioned the person behind the counter might've said they were either steamed(?) Different. All good. Gentle prices, genial service. Plus Josie's has all the other trademarks: dramatic modern design and breakfast/lunch with a nice spin. read more

No handicap access and no food today. Drove past, saw patio with people, saw handicap ramp. Ok, found a parking spot, my wife got on the wheelchair and I pushed her up the 40' ramp only to find no access to the patio, it's a ramp to nowhere. Ok, we squeezed between the fence and building thru a 12" gap, folded the wheelchair and squeezed that thru also. My wife sat at a table and I went in to order. I picked up a menu and was told they were not serving food today??? I then went back to the patio, rolled my wife back to the 12' gap in the fence, we all squeezed back thru the gap in the fence and left. This all took about 40 minutes. No I do not recommend this place. Maybe fix your ramp to nowhere! read more

Cute little cafe right off the main road of the town. This is a dog friendly cafe. First of all, most of the guest welcome by the owner's dog and it roams around to greet guests. Coffee and breakfast food are yummy. I love the vibe of this place. Great place to be when I am around. read more

Not for me Second time there and found the coffee to be very dry and taste almost like it was reheated from the day before. Four of us,got coffee. We noticed it was being poured in a cup and saucer. We didn't want that and to go outside.We mentioned to the woman didn't she paper coffee cups,as we preferred them. She says I do ,BUT!! are you all local or just visting family in Saugerties? We said no we are local. She states that if she had known and is letting it go this time,BUT she charges for the cup ! Say what? Ok so if one wants coffee in a paper cup you are charged. If one drinks the coffee from the cup and saucer WHICH by way is not 12 ounces. So we decided keep your "cup and saucer" ,wash with hot water,pay the other helper and have her dry . Make sure if you go ,ask if you have to PAY FOR THE CUP - PAPER. If so you'll be looking at we think 8 or more for a cup of coffee. read more

Josie's Coffee Shoppe was a wonderful addition to all our trips upstate this past year. We made an effort to get there even if it wasn't on the way and we're so happy we did. The coffee is delicious and the detail from decor to desserts, the curated shop and friendly service will keep us coming back even if we have to plan a whole trip around it. The owner's travels inspired the overall look and feel and the sophisticated yet unpretentious style is a win for everyone who is lucky enough to walk in. Josie's opened mid-pandemic recently which has to be tough. The owners did a great job renovating the space as it's very nice both inside and out, especially the large area for seating inside. They also have a dog who is usually outside when they are open in the AM, and is adorable. Their coffee is Le Colombe which is good stuff; I usually just get cold brew which is my go to (more caffeine). They have cans to go and they will also make it therefor you if you ask. My wife likes the tea a lot. They usually have a variety of fresh baked breakfast foods available as well. My only issue is that their hours can be spotty, however this is likely COVID-driven. Still it is awesome to see them open, and when they are they will be my coffee spot on my AM walking route. read more

This late morning today I stopped by for a London Fog (Harney's tea) and a scone (Bread Alone bakery). I appreciated that they offered oat milk and be able to have it in a lovely ceramic cup. The space indoors is well-designed - spacious and cozy at the same time. I could definitely see myself visiting again and bringing a book to read. They also sell a few items from local artisans. Just a lovely place for a tea (or coffee) and a pastry. read more

Located at the edge of Saugerties, NY, you are welcome to hang out and work, converse, browse the various kinds of apparel and local souvenirs. This is more like a European cafe where they are not trying to get you out the door. The tables are solid and there are electrical outlets to plug in without draping an extension cord across the floor. Most significantly, gluten-free people will find an assortment of options: this place makes an actual effort, and obviously cares. Been wanting to stop in since I returned to NY a few months ago. I assumed I'd love this place, but was super disappointed with all the animal based products for sale (wool hats, desserts, meals). Yes there is one, maybe 2 plant based options on the menu, but nothing that really stands out that I'd want to try. Their tables aren't the right height to match the chairs if you want to use your laptop.. or eat for that matter. They have the most expensive matcha in the Hudson Valley, & they tell you why: how everything costs so much etc etc. But guess what: Everyone else who sells matcha also has all those expenses.
