Very nice local cafe with plenty breakfast and coffee options. Large dog friendly outdoor area and plenty room inside too for a cold day.

I wish I could give this place 10 out of 5 stars! It was simply amazing! The atmosphere, the coffee, the food, the staff, all simply the best! I wish I lived closer so I could go daily! We'll be back next time we're in the Catskills!

This hidden gem cafe is so quaint and cozy, I'm envious lol. Coffee was good and their food was excellent as well. They also sell specialty items, super cute and good quality. Candles, shirts, perfume etc. the cafe had fireplace area with cozy sofa seatings and several other table seatings. Very inviting and bright, good vibe cafe.

Iced maple latte

Cozy modern farmhouse spot. Iced maple latte was yummy. Also loved the freshness of the mango smoothie bowl! Nice staff. Relaxing clean environment. Check it out.

Super friendly dog invites you in :)

I love it here, great sandwiches and fresh iced coffee! They have the best tomato bisque soup!

Brown oat latte and currant scone

Visiting for a wedding and my favorite thing to do is check out locally owned coffee houses. Hubby ordered a hot chocolate- yes in the summer and I had their brown sugar oat milk latte. We both ordered the currant scones. Price was reasonable- 18 and change. Still cheaper than Dallas. My latte was on point. Yummy. I enjoyed the scone. Hubby felt it was a little dry. They do have a food menu. The inside is clean and quaint but we chose to sit outside on their patio. I highly recommend a visit to this wonderful little coffee shop

Several tables on the patio for outdoor dining.

Cute spot for breakfast and coffee. We enjoyed the hash brown breakfast sandwich and pancakes. The maple cinnamon latte was amazing! We appreciated that they had outdoor patio seating and were dog friendly. They have several tables and outdoor counter seating too. Service was great and they even brought out a bowl of water for our dog. Will return next time we are in the area!

If you're a coffee genius like my husband is, a cup (or glass) of hot or cold coffee, is the holy grail of his morning ritual. Josie's is nice for breakfast items too. Aside from the several places that open early for breakfast we've visited in Woodstock, many are closed come Wednesdays and Thursdays. So we tried our hand at venturing to nearby town of Saugerties for some a.m. bites. And since the town is practically 'right there' taking the backroads from Woodstock, we went with it. Josie's corner Partition St. spot is cute. Has these red and white cabana-esque sun umbrellas contrasting against their grey outside. Charming indie feel inside with bare wood tables, white walls, wooden slab floor, colorful area rugs and a fierce brick fireplace wall. But I also thought their ventilation system must be remarkable because Josie's did not smell like food... neither did I. Menu isn't fussy. Place your order and pay first, then brought to you. My Vanessa Egg Scramble was different and good resembling a breakfast "bowl" with the tomatoes, avo, and cheese- plus the eggs were moist- and hubs liked his BEC and fully enjoyed their iced Americano. He and I talked about how juicy the eggs were in our dishes then mentioned the person behind the counter might've said they were either steamed(?) Different. All good. Gentle prices, genial service. Plus Josie's has all the other trademarks: dramatic modern design and breakfast/lunch with a nice spin.

Cute!

They were sooo sweet and friendly. The coffee was good and the vibe is everything you want from a small town coffee shop.

Ask the Community - Josie's Coffee Shoppe

Will you offer vegan lunch options? I really wanted to visit but lacking vegan options other than for breakfast it seems?

What types of things were you hoping to see. The green palate breakfast club is a vegan option that is very popular for lunch. We also run specials so calling is always an option, we do smoothie bowls (non dairy) - Salads - specials vary.

I've been to this place a few times. The coffee is average to good / decent but the only reason I…read morehave been a few times is because there was no alternative in the area. The quality drop over the past year is too significant even if a business is trying to downscale and cut costs during trying times. There is almost nothing on the menu that there used to be: focaccia, fresh sandwiches with quality ingredients/substance. The prices while always high are now completely unjustified for the quality and basic level of food they are offering. The choices on the menu are strange and some of the choices are not very edible. But the worst thing of all, as someone who loves nothing more than going to coffee shops and forming relationships with the people who run and work in these treasured small businesses, is that there is simply no soul in this place. No appetite to serve the customer in a way that feels positive, or helpful, or caring beyond the transaction. The attitude is: bare minimum, transaction, next order. No consideration for offering any of the basics that accompany a meal or coffee anywhere in the world. I hate to say this but when you're not into something you do it shows and what's the point if the customer and the product come last? Even if that's not the intention, that's how it comes across, strongly. Perhaps the business can stick to coffee and adopt a take away only model. Thank you and apologize if this is hurtful - it comes from an honest place of overall dissatisfaction and the negative vibes I have felt when visiting this place.

We were here for some cold drinks and the cooler filled with water had a variety of options, sizes and prices. Two large bottles for $2.50, how could I say no? Easy, quick, convenient. Having had the chance to try out some of the almost missing Speedways in my area I had never…read morethought about before (because they are so out of the 'line of sight for me'), when a few of my Uber trips took me out into Saugerties, I thought I'd stop in yesterday and although my initial intention was to just get gas with a pay at the pump order, when I noticed that things went off without too much of a hitch and I had some money, I thought about going inside. At first, I wasn't 100% sure of what exactly I wanted. I had forgotten to check Yelp's page for the former Hess Station here, so I didn't know that they had (not anymore) a former Baskin Robbins here, I was like maybe they'll have those f'real shakes I can get for relatively cheap prices. I was in need of something to pick me back up from the slump I fell into yesterday and thought one of these shakes would be my ticket out. But when I began perusing around, I noticed that they did t have these machines either. So I went looking..."what can I find now?" I asked myself. But that's when I turned around in an aisle and spotted the candy with a delicious deal of 2 for $3.33. I might not have known which candies at first, but all of a sudden, you had my mouth watering when I noticed the Reese's Big Cup with the Reese's Pieces inside to which I also spotted a rare find in a candy Bar of Hershey's Cookie Layer Crunch - Mint (I can generally find just the Vanilla or Vanilla Caramel flavors only at some stores but the Mint one is seldom found.) However, that wasn't all. I splurged when I bought one more set of two of two others (Butterfinger and Kit Kat). I knew I'd have something for my snack drawer for when I got home (but I had enough and ate them later last night and into this morning.) I brought them up to the register and things went off without a hitch. I had my SpeedyRewards card ready and before I even realized, he was trying to scan my card but I had the cash near it , but when I realized this, I course corrected and let him ring in the barcode. It might have seemed like I was day-dreaming before paying at the register, but I can assure you that I wasn't. I made sure that the employee rung it up as 2 of those sales sets as I asked, as I handed the employee my money. His machine handed me my change followed by some other paper change from the clerks hands, as I busily put away my SpeedyRewards card away in my wallet. And having hated pennies in my change, I dropped the penny in the under/over tip bin. I hated for the one penny I dropped in to have seemed like a one cent bad tip for bad service but I explained to them that I just hate pennies, pocketing the rest of my loose change in my pocket. If only this location was closer to the center of downtown Saugerties and not so far into the boondocks of Saugerties that it gets forgotten about. I don't travel the Thruway much and stop in at Saugerties, so I don't expect to see this location very often.
