Food in this area is kinda ehhh. So for this, I had to give it 3 stars not that it wasn't delicious but the pricing for things were def not worth it. I get it support local restaurants and the prices reflect the current wages blah blah. Service was very attentive and helpful. The seating in there has mostly 2s and a couple of 4 seaters. I thought it was odd when we walked in there with our baby in a car seat, they didn't offer to put him in a chair cuz I don't think there was a high chair. I woulda asked but home skillet was ktfo and I wasn't tryna awaken the beast. That isn't discrediting the service or this place at all. My 3 star is purely at a cost to quality standpoint. The coffee and French toast were delicious, perfection. Took off a star for service. I'm finding that a problem for this area in general, and maybe it was my particular server, but "ohana" means family in Hawaiian and that is not how it felt until the owner came over and asked how things were. That made the experience so much better. Cute little cafe tucked on main street. They are not open past 3pm. They did seat and serve us at 2:30 with no questions or complaints about our arrival. Unfortunately I was so excited to try my PB&J that I forgot to take pics. As the coordinator on a big lunch I appreciate how flexible Amy was. Came here for a little pre-snowboarding breakfast while passing through Saugerties. We ordered their latte and savory special crepe of the day called the Shroomie. It was good especially the parts that were loaded with goat cheese. However, it could have been seasoned a lot better even just with salt and pepper. Wish there were also bottles of sauce at tables. I really wanted to love this place. My husband and I live in Saugerties and have been wanting to try. My Moco Loco bowl was tasty, but not inspired. My husband ordered (or thought he ordered) turkey pastrami crepe that was on special that day. When it arrived it was pastrami rubbed salmon, with cream cheese and red onion. I asked the waiter what it was and she said that was what he ordered. Despite my statement that it was not what he expected or thought it would be, she vaguely offered that he might order something else. I will add that once the food was delivered the waiter never again checked in with us, in fact we had to go to the register to pay the bill. I will go again and try the sweet crepes. We were in town for the afternoon and happened upon Ohana. It was calm and comfortable inside and we were greeted and seated cheerfully. The menu was intriguing. My wife chose a crepe with lox and I opted for a quinoa bowl. Good choices. We also ordered some bruschetta which was quite tasty. I was impressed with the combination of flavors and textures and the lightly melted feta that sat atop the over-easy eggs, quinoa, walnuts and craisins kept the temperature ideal. I did manage to try a bite of the crepe and found it chewy and substantial while the lox delivered the flavor. I will have to pick one of those the next time we go in - we will be back. read more

Seems like this place was popular among the locals so thought we'd give it a try. We havent been in Hawaii in a few years so we thought we would order some Hawaiian food on the menu. Thus we ordered the Loco Moco and the Huli Huli Pork. The presentation was perfect for both dishes, however the Loco Moco was disappointing. While it was good, both the meat patty and the gravy was lacking an umami flavor that usually comes with this type of Hawaiian dish. As for the Hulu Huli Pork, it was so yummy! Reminds me of pulled pork. It greatly paired with the coconut rice which I wish I had a bigger portion of. Mac salad was average & hit the craving. This place is more known for their crepes. I probably should come back to give those a try. Service was lovely! Do be patient as they do cook all their food fresh! read more

Nothing impressive, not fully blended, and I wouldn't get it again - but there was more on the menu so I'd be open to coming back and trying a crepe or something in the future. My husband and I are actually from Hawaii. We were excited to come support this "local" business, during our weekend trip. We were so disappointed. We ordered the loco moco, which was virtually inedible and nothing like loco moco from the islands. It was a tiny piece of overly cooked (overly priced), dry, cheap beef patty... sitting in what tasted like Campbell mushroom soup liquid. It was truly an abomination. Loco moco is supposed to have gravy, it's not swimming in soup. My husband comes from generations of Hawaii locals who are in the service industry and have made this dish many times. My husband was honestly extremely angry the whole time. The tiny "fresh juice" drink I got had no price tag on it and cost me $7. In my honest opinion, it feels like a random mainland woman went to Hawaii and lived an extremely specific life for a few years (nothing local, nothing authentic, just trying to see what she could get out of the islands), came back to NY, and is now capitalizing and culturally misappropriating Hawaii both culturally and socially just to make a buck (WHAT?? Kamaaina discount? Do you even know the background and purpose of this on the islands?? SO OFFENSIVE). It was disappointing and honestly really really truly severely offensive. This is exactly the type of entitlement and capitalism that has hurt our community for so long. For any other Hawaii locals who make it this way, don't go here. It will actually make you upset. I would head to Slice down the street and get a MUCH cheaper, but also must tastier meal. UPDATE: I still stand by everything I said above. I read the blurb, you lived in Hawaii for 10 years. To bring up Maui in that way (where we actually have generational family members that were displaced and almost died), is totally inappropriate. This comment shows a lack of understanding. I never said you lived a privileged life, but based on the food options I saw (we even inquired about the poke and found the ingredients to be completely different from the islands), there should at the very least be less use of Hawaii as a catch term and more research and education in the things you are saying and the food you are putting out. At the end of the day, that accountability is what matters most. I hope despite the format, this is an opportunity for you to take a moment to reflect and learn. read more

Ohana Cafe is such a cute spot for a nice brunch or lunch on the way home to NYC from a weekend upstate! The vibe is so laidback and relaxing, and the staff (although they seemed to be a bit understaffed) were friendly and accommodating. We had the Huli Huli Pork crêpe, make your own grilled cheese with apples, and the Breakfast of Champions. I also had some ginger tea, which was nice and flavorful. The food was very good and tasty, although a bit small portions. I had ordered scrambled eggs with my Breakfast of Champions, but they arrived fried. The waiter was quick to bring out my replacement. Then when we got our check, it was somehow for a different table. They figured it out, but it was a busy Sunday so we totally understood. They "ran out of burger" for the loco moco (at 1pm on a Saturday?) so we said ok to the Beyond burger substitution, which was listed on the menu for +$2. When the bill came they did +$5 instead. Had such a strange experience here that it took my wife and I almost half a day to acknowledge how weird and unprofessional it was. "Can we finally speak about what happened at that Ohana place this morning?" I said as we walked down Partition Street on the way back to our car. When we walked in there were several empty tables, at least 4 empty two-tops and then some. It took minutes before anyone of the 4 front of the house employees had even acknowledged that we walked in the door. We were then told by a woman who worked there to not walk in any further, super weird way to be greeted, and that she had to clean the tables and we needed to give them "some time to catch up." I then watched this woman wipe down every empty table in the place which took about 2 seconds per table and even then we were not invited to be seated. I personally would have wiped one table down, seated us and give us menus while I clean the others lol but that's just me, a guy with common sense and manners. There was also an older couple waiting at the coffee bar for a table. A few minutes pass and we are still waiting by the door so we step in and over to the coffee bar to see if we can get an idea of the menu or perhaps just order coffees while we waited. Still no acknowledgement that we exist from the three employees behind the bar. All running around like chickens with their heads cut off frantically trying to accomplish something but each stopping to do something else before the initial task was completed. The initial task was making like 8 drinks for a large party in the back lol. Not exactly rocket science but clearly an early indicator of the vibe here. More minutes pass and the older couple is finally brought to a table. As they walk the man says something like "guess we're running in slow motion today" to which the employee responds "well I hope you're not in a rush." So despite all the tables being clean, and the couple who was waiting ahead of us finally being given a table, we are still not invited to be seated. I tell my wife that we will wait 4 more minutes, bringing this entire experience to about 20 mins of waiting for an employee to wipe down tables or to be acknowledged at the coffee counter, and if we aren't spoken to or at least acknowledged in that time we would just walk out. That's exactly what we did because no one said a thing to us. It was like we were ghosts or something. Ironically there's a sign written on a chalkboard inside the restaurant that says they are severely understaffed and patience would be appreciated. I think my wife and I would have been more patient if any of the staff were polite or inviting or thoughtful of us as customers. We didn't even get a nod or a smile. It seemed like they had plenty of staff to handle their half empty restaurant but no one was actually doing anything. Every other restaurant we tried in town had no problem accommodating us with what looked like even less of a front-house staff so perhaps if you're in town you should go to one of those places instead. read more

This place we found it while we were walking and honestly best thing we could ever do.. The place itself is honestly beautiful, ample seating very cozy and great decor. The food is Hawaiian theme which was unique and cool. Coffee was great and the food was so fresh! Coco loko, rice with mushroom and beef patty with a over East egg. What a gem!!! Our women's hockey team was hungry after a tournament game. I found Ohana Cafe on yelp and we decided to give it a try. We were aware that a group of 12 crazy hockey ladies would be a big last minute task for any place, but our expectations were far exceeded. We were greeted with kindness and a refreshing willingness to make the seating work as best they could. To our surprise, they had one long bench that they were able to push tables together and accommodate us all together. Aimee, the owner was one of our main servers. The ambiance was unique and inviting, with a Hawaiian theme, relating to the owners years there. The food and drinks were delicious. The drinks ranged from green juice to specialty teas and coffees to cocktails, and the food choices ranged from the standard breakfast choices to crepes with Hawaiian pork and coleslaw (which I had and was incredible). Not only were the ambiance, service and food well-worth it, several of us got some merch to remember the place. Highly recommend this place...I will be returning! read more

We reached out to Ohana to cater our wedding weekend brunch, and they pulled out all the stops- french toast, bacon, roasted potatoes, crepes with various fillings and even threw in a chocolate chip muffin basket to celebrate my nephew's birthday. Been here twice for breakfast and once for lunch. The food is always so fresh! I love that they get local ingredients and create a very unique menu! The assortment of options for suped up grill cheese is amazing. I had the pulled pork grilled cheese with grilled onions and avocado. It was delish! My husband always gets the Crepin' me Crazy which is similar to a Monte Cristo. The Raspberry Compote is the perfect addition to this dish that gives it a little extra wow. Some items are pricy but the quality is worth it. This is a definite must if you are in the area. Bonus: the coffee is great too! read more
