yea pricey but very very good, i would stop here again for a 5$ bagel with a schemer. the boiling process really does make the difference and you can taste it compared to other bready bagels. nothing to report on service or location, other than busy main street drama on occasion, but overall, id return when in town. tasty read more

Friendly, delicious home town bagel spot. I always love when a cafe accommodates for varying diets and in my case having turkey sausage! I got the turkey sausage egg and cheese bagel on onion bagel and it was delicious. The meat was cooked perfectly and it was a good egg to cheese ratio. Our friend got the sausage, egg and cheese bagel and he said it was good but nothing special. Another got the cinnamon raisin bagel on a sausage, egg and cheese and he thoroughly enjoyed it and would order again. Overall a good vibe, friendly staff and chill spot. This a pretty solid bagel spot serving us some yummy breakfast bagel sandwiches for a good price as well. I got the bacon, egg, and cheese on a whole wheat bagel. They have a variety of both sweet and savory bagels to choose from. Service is good and there is a good amount on seating indoors. read more

My wife and I came here during a trip to the area. I had just an everything bagel with cream cheese and I thought it tasted great. It was the best bagel we tried in the area. Stopped by here on my way back to city from the Catskills. It's a cute little cafe with some outdoor seating. It's kept very clean and inviting. I had the Cajun " bagini," very cool concept but I felt it was lacking. All I tasted was the chipotle Mayo and nothing else. It was weirdly muted. I thought I was losing my taste so I kept taking a sip of my chai but I could taste that just fine. ( it's great chai btw ) I spent $30 on two bagel sandwiches and two large drinks. Locals don't like this place. Mainly because the long time #1 bagel spot "Lox Of Bagels" is a staple. So any newer competing bagel shop would automatically be shuttered. Even though the owners are local long time owners of village pizza these small towns can be finicky. They also don't bake the bagels in house and that upsets people. --again small towns. But are the bagels good? Yes they are. Fluffy and soft. A nice selection and plenty of different cream cheeses and a good amount of egg sandwich choices. I also like the coffee here way WAY better then that other place and I think the egg sandwiches are better for whatever reason. Personally I do prefer the other place for bagels but if I am not traveling south on 9w and staying in town then Village bagels is the perfect alternative and it's really about coffee. Just found this bagel shop. Everything was delicious!!Me and my daughter got plain toasted bagels with vegan cream cheese. The bagels were so fresh and warm. In my opinion these are the best bagels in the Hudson Valley. Also got a decaf almond milk latte. So good!!!!! And the two girls working there are very friendly and kind. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. Staff is beyond rude here. We had two bad experiences two days in a row at this spot. The worst offender was arriving with our two small children and ordering food. Then we sat down to eat it. The staff member told us we had to leave -- she was closing. Which would have been a good thing to know before ordering and saying we wanted to feed our kids a snack. I politely asked if we could stay for just 5 minutes as they cleaned up so my kids could eat. She responded, "I don't get paid past 3 p.m." then walked away and proceeded to loudly bad-mouth me to the other staff members. I would have appreciated someone telling me they were closing before we obviously sat down at a table and ordered. I would also appreciate someone not paid SO LITTLE by obviously poor management that they had one ounce of customer service integrity. Also, apparently they don't "clean up," because they didn't even wipe our table as they rushed us out the door. To me, that's gross. Do not go here. read more

The bagels were good, but holy crap - the latte was amazing! I got a pumpernickel bagel with cream cheese, my friend got a French dip, and we both got the Hook Latte (shaken espresso, mocha, and hazelnut I think). My bagel was good, don't remember her asking if I wanted it toasted, but that's fine! My friend's French dip was under-seasoned, the jus wasn't salty enough (who has ever said that?!) by it was still good. These lattes though!! It was SO GOOD and everything was really reasonably priced. I will definitely be back, there's a coconut latte I NEED to try. read more

What a delightful spot to stop for coffee and a fresh bagel on our way to New York. The iced coffee was perfection and damn that was a good bagel. I considered the danish, but I only have those right before I give birth. Weird, I know. I asked if I can have my food for "takeaway" but the owner, Rodney, told me that it's just called, "to go". Then, because I am so international, I realized that "takeaway" is only used in the UK. Oh... I also ordered their iced tea and added some of their amazing peach juice. A winner! I visit Saugerties twice a month for my vet appointments and sometimes pickup bagels around the corner but today I decided to stop by Village Bagels since I had never seen the place before and I'm so glad I did! I am hypercritical of small details - they say a lot and Village Bagels does not disappoint. It's aesthetically pleasing, very clean, smells great, and feels warm and inviting. The display case instantly caught my eye and made my heart skip a beat! I love a nice fresh baked pastry in the morning. I wanted to take them all home but settled for three and also grabbed some bagels since they looked so irresistible in their baskets against the gorgeous exposed brick wall! My hubby and I ate our goodies at home with some fresh coffee and oh my god I think we just found our new fav spot! Everything - ALL OF IT was so delicious and fresh! read more

I come here all the time and it's delicious! The only thing wrong with the place is that they do have a habit of getting orders wrong. I'm a vegetarian and I always ask for an egg and cheese without meat but they sometimes put meat on it anyway. Bagels were very good, traditional NY style. I had a Max breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel and my wife had a Luca in a box with a bagel on the side. Best bagels I've ever had. They need to get it together however. They need to get their ordering and food prep organized. If you go when their busy you'll wait 10-15 minutes for your order. That bring the case don't pour the coffee as soon as you order. It's cold by the time your to go order is ready. The first part fir me was when I hit hone they gave me someone else's order. The kitchen staff and more importantly the guy standing there bagging and handing propane their orders need to be checking to make sure things are right. Suggestion: you need a better to go order queue line system. Just about every table had people sitting at them waiting for their to go order. If so to d walked in and wanted to eat there they may leave thinking there were no tables available. I'll go beck but it's going to be long time before I visit on a Sunday.
