Love this place even after coming here like a dozen times. Don't forget to save room for the churros!

Steak sandwich and sweet potato fries

Took my daughter to lunch with some friends for her birthday. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious but the sweet potato fries and onions were very overcooked. Overall a good experience, I just didn't enjoy the sides.

Coconut rice pudding No dairy made with coconut milk

Had a great first experience thanks to meeting Josuè at the gym earlier. The coconut rice pudding is delicious here. I would definitely recommend it and the everyone was very welcoming and the service was extremely great. Might I add very cleanly place.

We stopped by for breakfast and ordered the chicken with waffles, the big boy breakfast and a horchata. As for the chicken and waffle, the chicken was juicy and not dry, but the waffle that came with it was like eating cardboard. The big boy breakfast came with eggs, very thin bacon, home fries and two pancakes that were also dry but nowhere near the waffle. Overall, the food is average at best and the service was good.

    Western Omelet

After visiting the Saugerties Lighthouse and reading excellent reviews, I decided to stop by The Town Cafe Restaurant, and I'm happy I did. As soon as I was seated, my server, Karla, promptly provided me with a menu and took my drink order. I chose the Western Omelet, and the freshness of the peppers enhanced it significantly. Karla was not only efficient and attentive with my drink refills but also very personable, taking the time to chat with me after my meal. Make sure to check the large blackboard near the front door for today's specials.

Italian Wedding soup and Cinta Pinot Grigio

Super cute and quaint cafe! I only had the soup (Italian Wedding) and a glass of Pinot Grigio but both were great and bartender was adorable. She provided everything I wanted and needed for a time killer waiting for an appointment in the area.

The shop offers everything you want or need: comfy seating, warm environs, genuinely friendly and attentive service, delicious from-scratch foods and beverages, and good prices. The trays of homemade baked goods coming straight out of the kitchen looked and smelled wonderful, too. Hudson Roastery is really good at what it does. I highly recommend it!

Incredibly bummed, especially seeing all the positive press around the quality and the sourcing…read morethey claim to approach business with, that quite a lot of the food being served was from SYSCO or another large similar restaurant supply vendor, ordered by the case and baked from frozen. Now first off, don't get me wrong, buying in bulk or sacrificing the quality of some ingredients to large suppliers like this is definitely a reality when running a restaurant. Even moreso in this day and age when ingredient prices are exorbitant. That said, it needs to be reflected in the price point. Pastries are arranged beautifully under cloches in the display case, but I could spot the premade, ready-to-bake spinach feta bistro (https://www.chefswarehouse.com/products/QZ119984/) or ham and cheese croissant (https://www.chefswarehouse.com/products/99971/) from a mile away. The avocado spread on the preassembled breakfast sandwiches is definitely the pulp from the 3lb bag from Chef's Warehouse too. I know that taste! All of that said, they had a few items in the case that I'm sure weren't from one of these big vendors. Which was great to see. My (yes, unsolicited!) advice would be to pare down the menu. Offer just a bit less so you can focus on the quality. Try and tap into some local producers if you can! That's one of the best things about the Hudson Valley... how much all the purveyors and markets and cafes support each other. It's clear too how much they care about the community. They're dog friendly inside. No WiFi to encourage people to chat with one another. Fine. I really want to see this place continue to thrive, it's just a bit of a bummer that a significant part of the menu including things that really should be fresh, aren't.

This is a tough review because I genuinely wanted to give this place a 5/5…read more I worked with the team to cater brunch for my fiancé's birthday and the planning process was fantastic. Communication was seamless, they helped create a custom birthday cake with flavors I requested, and the entire ordering experience was smooth and stress-free. The food was outstanding. From the bread and cinnamon rolls to the focaccia and cake, everything was fresh, delicious, and a huge hit with our group. Every item felt thoughtfully made, and it was clear why so many people rave about their bakery. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is the pickup experience. I had a prepaid order of over $250 scheduled for 8:00 a.m. pickup, right when the café opened. We arrived about 15 minutes early.. because it was raining and simply hoped to wait somewhere covered until pickup time. We weren't expecting the order early or asking anyone to rush. Given the size of the order, the custom cake, and the fact that I had brought someone with me to help carry everything, we just wanted to avoid standing outside in the rain. When I knocked on the door, I could see several staff members inside. One employee looked at us and gestured toward the clock, essentially pointing out that they weren't open yet. I completely understand that we arrived early, and I respect opening hours. What bothered me was how the situation was handled. A simple "We'll be open at 8" or "Sorry, we can't let anyone in until opening" would have been perfectly reasonable. Instead, the interaction felt unnecessarily cold. Even once we were inside, the employee helping us came across as dismissive and unwelcoming. It was especially disappointing because every interaction I'd had over email leading up to the event had been so thoughtful, friendly, and accommodating. The food was exceptional, and the planning process was excellent. I just wish the same level of hospitality had carried through to the pickup experience. Had that interaction been handled with a bit more warmth, this would have easily been a 5-star review. Ratings: * Food & ambiance: 10/10 * Communication email: 10/10 * Pickup Experience: 4/10
