From the minute my wife and I walked in- we knew we made the right choice. We are a Queer POC couple from NJ/NY that did a last minute trip to the area. Googling places to eat- we decided on Rock Da Casbah. We got a friendly and warm welcome from Kim- who took care of us. We also got to enjoy a great karaoke performance of another local - Flynn. The drinks were great- food was delicious- comfortable and welcoming environment. We absolutely plan on making another trip and returning.

Back again for more. RDC a good choice for a vegan lunch, didn't say healthy but it sure was good.

Saugerties was bumping on a Saturday night in mid-October. My mom and I came in to Rock Da Casbah after being told at another restaurant that we would have to wait an hour and a half to get a table. We walked in to Rock Da Casbah and was asked if we had reservations. We said we didn't, but it didn't matter because we were asked which of the two tables that were open we would want to sit at, and were seated immediately. We picked the table away from the singing duo, so we could converse better. It was pretty awesome being in a restaurant and listening to live music, as that is extremely rare back home during COVID. It was like pre-COVID. Carefree and fun. The service was good. The only complaint is that it took us a while to get the the attention of our waitress to obtain the check, but other than that, it was fine. Also, my mom ordered two old fashioned drinks. The first one was done right, the second one my mom said did not even remotely taste like an old fashioned. So, we really aren't sure what it was. I had the fried chicken and it was delicious. It was moist and crispy and flavorful. My mom had a beef dish and really enjoyed it. I liked the decor and it was hippie and also fun. I especially liked the guitar chairs. I was feeling the vibes in the place. I wish this place was closer to home, because I feel like this could be a fun place to get a drink and stay for dinner on a monthly basis. I also really liked the names of the drinks. They were catchy and witty. I wish I could have remembered some.

Loved the vibe in this place and the bartender who didn't miss a beat, seating people, taking orders and mixing up drinks. We had two excellent drinks and four appetizers that were delicious. The psychedelic mushrooms were incredible and served with a delicious bread. Also had the shrimp skewers, the spring rolls, and the Disco fries. All were great! While we waited the band came in to play and we enjoyed the music. Great place!

I must have been there on a really off night hence my updated review to my updated review. I do love this place. Definitely my go to spot. Vegan Mac also must have been an off night as the next time I got it (not as a take out order), it was super cashew cheezy and yummy! The bartender/waitress with the long black hair is awesome. Sorry! Totally forget her name, but she's always working. Super friendly, attentive, and funny! Love the shy guy that helps out in the kitchen and busses tables. He's a sweetheart.

It seemed everyone wanted it cooked a different way. Every burger came out perfect to order and everyone was happy. This might sound easy to do but trust me it's not. The fries are that perfect level of crisp on the outside but still have that soft inside that brings the flavors together. Overall the menu is not big and nothing is fancy or trendy. Mostly bar type food but what they have is good and the Chef definitely takes pride in every dish that leaves that kitchen. Drinks are always on point and the staff help create a really chill laid back atmosphere. This is my go to place for when friends are in town. A lot of restaurants in town are awesome but it seems it can be a hit or miss in most of them. The Partition never fails to deliver and always hits it out of the ballpark.

When we were ready to leave my husband told the bar tender "do not charge my card here is the cash for bill" Well they did charge his card and when we tried to call and clear it up no one ever got back to him. I had done a Google review of them and they sent a message back saying "we have contacted your card company and you should be seeing a refund in a few days" IT NEVER HAPPENED. So instead of just paying $82 we actually paid $164. I am glad we do not live close because we would never go back.

I saw another review that you could have a wedding here and I agree. The service was nice-- we had two servers-- one sister training the other? I attempted to order a drink twice-- they had neither in stock-- before getting a Diet Coke. The big area of opportunity here is the food. My husband ordered the scallop risotto, which came... wet. It looked like rice swimming in water-- the flavor was similar, unfortunately. The cook on the scallops ranged widely in the dish. I ordered the salmon-- the cook on the salmon was nice but the quinoa was inedible, as were the veggies it was served with. Our meal was late and it felt like the food was held over from earlier preparations. We got the bread pudding, which was fine-- but the proportion of ice cream to pudding ratio was way off. The restaurant has so much potential but the food is the big problem to solve for, in my opinion.

We'll preface this review by saying that an experience this poor usually starts with ownership or…read moremanagement and trickles down to the staff. Who knows what the employees have to deal with on a day-to-day basis to result in service this bad. We were extremely disappointed with our experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff came across as rude and unwelcoming. We asked if we could sit at one of the tables closest to the waterfall, and the response was simply, "Well, it's dirty." Mind you, about 90% of the restaurant was empty. We expected something like, "No problem, give us a moment to clean it off." We're very easygoing and would have completely understood waiting a few minutes. Instead, that interaction set the tone for the rest of the meal. We even pitched in to help the bussing staff. When our waitress finally returned, she immediately said, "Oh, you don't have menus? You forgot them. I know I already gave them to you along with your place settings." Apparently it was a set-your-own-table experience. At that point, it almost felt like we were expected to bring our own service as well. The food quality was underwhelming--We've had better charcuterie on a plane--especially considering the prices. Several ingredients that were listed as part of the dishes were missing. When we asked the busser about it, she said she would check with the kitchen, but she never returned with an answer or any follow-up. Honestly, we would have expected the server to check back regardless, but other than taking our initial order, she never returned to our table, even when we tried to wave her over. So yes no one came back after our food was served to ask how everything was, whether we needed anything, or to address the missing ingredients. Once our order was delivered, we were completely forgotten. Good service means checking on your guests, addressing concerns, and making sure they're enjoying their meal. None of that happened during our visit. When we finally approached the manager, the first response was, "Well, did you eat any of the food?" Yes--we each had a couple of bites of the kale Caesar because we were starving, despite it being served without the advertised pork belly, which was the main ingredient. We had already tried to address our concerns in real time, but no one ever followed up. We're far from people who leave negative reviews. In fact, we think this is only the second bad restaurant review we've ever written. The experience was simply that disappointing. Overall, the combination of rude service, poor management, disappointing food quality, missing ingredients, and a complete lack of follow-through made for an incredibly frustrating dining experience. Unfortunately, we can't recommend this restaurant, and we won't be returning. The view is absolutely gorgeous, but you're better off grabbing a sandwich somewhere else and enjoying it from the nearby bridge.

Walking in we were seated promptly though we immediately noticed that the interior was extremely dark. Not a big deal but worth flagging for older folks who might have a hard time reading. Our server was friendly and relatively attentive and walked us through the menu. We started off with some classics including their bread and butter (which was tasty and delicious) and ordered their P.E.I Mussels ($19) along with their Fried Brussels Sprouts ($15) to share. The portions were quite large for everything (great if you're in a larger party) but we immediately noticed that the mussels they served seemed a bit off. Many of them were not opened all the way (a sign that they might not be the freshest or recently passed) and had a bit of a fishy taste to them. We ended up not finishing them and flagged them to our waiter. The other items, including the 14oz Ribeye ($43) and baby back ribs ($28) were better, though a bit one-note. The bay back ribs in particular were extremely saucy and the corn bread was dry and a bit tough to eat. I had to use a knife to split it apart as it kept crumbling every time I used a fork. Regardless, it seems like a popular spot for a reason and perhaps we just went during more of an off-night. I'd still recommend checking it out but avoiding the mussels if you go.

Actually, it's been there for 11 years. Perfect location. Just off the main area, but within walking distance to town. If you do stay here, try to get a room that faces the waterfall. Also, take the wooden walkway down to the base of the falls. We started out our morning doing so, and it was quite scenic. The rooms are big, but the walls are paper thin. Continental Breakfast was abundant with muffins, cereal, coffee and juice. -The Waterside Spa- My wife signed us up for a Couples Massage, in the middle of the afternoon. But we headed over early. Great place to lie out on the deck to catch some rays and relax. Take a soak in one of their small pools or try the sauna if you dare (at one point it was 190 degrees) The massages were nice, however the "Hot Stone" one was a little too gentle for me. But disappointment quickly took over. My chicken tasted like it was marinated in vinegar, and the Vegetable Lasagna was made in a microwave. We ordered 2 desserts that we sent back. The pastry chef needs to be fired. This restaurant sucks.
