We had to get up to find our own silverware, incorrect drink order (and charged incorrectly) and overall slow service but possibly was just an off-night. Fantastic summer spot that takes you right out of town and makes you feel like you're at a beach bar. Stella's has such fun vibes with a bar space, ample dining space, and a juke box. They have good bar food and we had the Buffalo chicken and souvlaki chicken wraps and fried pickles that hit the spot and we got with a beer but would love to try their frozen drinks. I recently stopped by Stella Station for the first time. The atmosphere immediately stands out--it's bright, fresh, and has a great energy that clearly draws in a local crowd. However, as someone coming in from out of town, the experience wasn't entirely seamless; I found myself having to flag down staff just to get seated, which was a bit of an adjustment for a first-time guest. That said, the service was the highlight of my visit. My server was fantastic--attentive, polite, and genuinely made me feel welcome, as if I were one of their regulars. She really elevated the experience. As for the food, I kept it simple with the burger and fries. While it was a solid, standard meal that I would certainly eat again if I were in the area, it didn't quite hit the mark for me. Whether it was the texture of the bun or the quality of the beef, it felt a bit unremarkable. It's a perfectly fine spot for a regular, casual bite, but given the competition in the city, there's definitely room for them to sharpen up the menu. When you charge $3 for a an iced tea...which is basically stained water...and if it comes in a clear plastic water cup (maybe 12 oz?), you definitely shoild not charge another $3 for a refill. I have never returned to a restaurant that charges for refills on fountain drinks and won't return to this one. What was surprising is this hasn't happened to me in 15 years. No one charges for refills anymore! Plus the food was mediocre at best. Won't be back, which is too bad because the atmosphere isn't bad. read more

First off our waitress was awesome no complaints there however the service to get our food was very slow. We ordered the Beet and Feta salad, wasn't very good at all the Beets were not that goodyhe were so so. We order chicken fingers they were very dry not juicy at all. The onion rings were over cooked and the fries were so so. The cole slaw was very good and the chicken wings weren't bad. Super food find in Saugerties as we traveled through on route to Vermont. Fun walkable, explorable food with lots of food options. We rolled in around 2pm and had a few options but the key for us was outdoor seating and dog friendly. Stella's delivered on multiple accounts. Friendly service, large outdoor eating area, lots of good food options on the menu and beers and drinks as well.. We started with the steamed clams, then the coconut shrimp app, and shared a grilled chicken sandwich with a raspberry iced tea. All fresh ingredients and prepared to our expectations. My boyfriend and I were visiting Saugerties and we decided to stop by this place for lunch. The place itself was cute with both indoor and outdoor sitting areas. Their menu was pretty extensive with various items such as burgers, salads, sandwiches etc and they also had a very good drink menu as well. We decided to go with the Cobb salad which was A+ on presentation - they presented it super nicely and then give you another bowel so that you can mix everything together which was a nice touch. The salad itself was super fresh and all the flavors went extremely well together. I got the Buffalo chicken wrap which was really good too and I highly recommend it for anyone who likes Buffalo chicken. The fries that came as a side were amazing - perfectly crispy. Came here to meet up with a friend for lunch. I ordered the Crispy Buffalo Chicken Wrap with fries. The fries were amazing. The Buffalo Chicken Wrap is very good and filling as well. Overall very impressed with the food. Service could be better, which is due to understaffing. There was only one person waiting all of the tables and when it got busy, you can tell the waitress was struggling to keep up with all of the tables. Hopefully they'll hire more staff members to prevent some unhappy customers from waiting too long. read more

Stella's station is a Saugerties institution. Really popular in the summer due to its open patio, it is often hard to grab a table here if you come at a peak time. Service is friendly but a bit spread out so they can be slow. Seating is just patio furniture so not the most comfortable however this isn't a place you are eating a 4-course meal. They have an ice cream shop adjacent, however I only ever got from it once so hard to say much about it (remember it being average). All in all you can definitely do worse in town than eating here (particular for lunch). For drinks they have a few beer taps and some frozen drinks. I like the flavored margaritas even though that's not normally my thing. They come in clutch if it's hot out. Food is typically picnic/bar food. Think Buffalo wings, burgers, salads and wraps. It's all good and edible if a bit unremarkable. My go to is the spicy chicken sandwich (even though it isn't spicy) or whatever special they have. If you have kids, this menu gives them plenty of options. Stella's is perfectly okay, but it's never been a huge haunt for me as this review suggests. I hit it once in awhile and will probably still do so indefinitely. read more

Keith, our bartender, was attentive. Mike, the owner, was on site and explained to us what brings tourists to this area, including a very dedicated and large group of equestrians enjoying many varied competitions and shows. The ready availability of Ait B&B's assures that travelers can always find lodging in the area while sightseeing in the Catskills including magnificent scenes like Kaatterskill Falls. This restaurant is also OPEN ON TUESDAYS, unlike almost all others in this area. I had the Buffalo Chicken Wrap, which was excellent, and (importantly) the fries were cooked very well done as requested. Our bus stopped in Saugerties for a few hours after our day at the Garlic Festival. We wanted to stop somewhere for dinner and eventually ended up at Stella's Station. Stella's has a few seating areas. There's a big open air patio in the back. A smaller open air patio in the front, an outdoor roofed area up front, and the inside has some tables ringing the bar. Our server, Kiara, was one of the hardest working food service folks I've seen in awhile. Flying solo, she was taking orders, running food to, and clearing plates from both of the front seating areas, and she did that all with a smile and a shining personality. We started off with a Heineken Light and a Red Stripe at a reasonable $4.50 each. We split an appetizer and a salad. The appetizer was Seared Ahi Tuna ($14.00) and it was served with wasabi, soy sauce, and pickled carrot slaw. This dish was a real winner in two respects. First of all, the fish was excellent! Perfectly cooked and delicious. Secondly, the quantity was very generous because it came with seven big slices. An excellent value for sure. We split their Smoked Salmon Salad ($11.00) and were again impressed with what came out of the kitchen. Sitting on top of a generous bed of arugula, spinach, hardboiled egg halves, red onion, and grilled asparagus, were four big spirals of smoked salmon. We asked the cook to skip the capers and serve the honey dijon vinaigrette on the side, and that was no problem. When we split the salad from the big bowl it was served in, into the thoughtfully provided two smaller bowls, we were each looking at a pretty big portion. The quality of the salmon was pretty high-thinly sliced, not very "veiny", and lots of that terrific smoked salmon taste. Lunch (including two beers) was just 37 bucks. Zero complaints at all with the food, service, or price. Stella's had a nice crowd- lots of tables filled where we were (under the roof cover in the front). Families with kids, couples, and lots of folks sitting at the bar. Saugerties has a lot of food options and choices. We were very happy with the one we chose. read more

We arrived here due to some friends who have been wanting to come here. We all decided why not as we just finished up hiking through the kaaterskill Falls and all we're hungry. We were seated fairly quick and stellas had great covid regulations applied for its staff with face mask, hand sanitizer stations and enough space between guest so outdoor dining was so cramped. I've order a turkey club sandwich with sweet potatoes fries and this was delicious as it has avocados in it as well instantly in love lol. My first visit to Stella's was on a very rainy day. We sat out front under the awning and were very comfortable. The waitress was very nice and did a good job taking care of us. I had the house salad without the blue cheese and topped it off with grilled veggie skewers. It was excellent. One friend had the salad with beets also topped with veggie skewers which looked beautiful and she said was delicious. However, our waitress conversation with us sounded rushed, and each time left as soon as she dropped our menu, drink or food without saying anything. I've visited Stella's several time. The food is consistently good. My favorite it the salad topped with veggie skewers. The French fries are absolutely delicious. I'm not a huge fan of fries but these are exceptional in my opinion. The servers are friendly and attentive. Give it a try. read more
