    Chicken Kicker Wrap

Went to Mirabellas with a friend for drinks and a appetizer. We love their Panko green beans. It's so much you can share ! Nice and crispy they are my favorite app there. I ordered a chicken kicker wrap. It was so good. I recommend this wrap! Also the panko green beans. Don'f forget the lava cake! Excellent servers always a smile on their faces and checks on you to make sure you need anything. I really love the friendly environment. They have tons of alcohol drinks and regular drinks. The atmosphere seems like sports on the TVs is a plus. The bartenders are good people. They know so many mix drinks. If your not sure what mix drink you like they will help you figure it out. I know from experience. Go out with a friend and enjoy your time. Oh the pool table is a plus and the jutkebox iTunes is fun to play music on!!

Not great food. More bar atmosphere than restaurant, which is fine but the food was really bad. Tortellini sauce was milky and bland, meatballs were mushy and the "marinara" sauce was literally tasted like tomato sauce from a can. Mac and cheese ball appetizer was good but that was it. Ate only a fraction of my meal and tossed the rest. Disappointing. Waiter was best part-attentive and friendly.

I am happy to say that since Mirabella's moved across the alley from their previous location, I enoyed myself much more! We walked in by the bar entrance, and it was LOUD. Should've been expected since it's March Madness, and Mirabella's has several huge flat screens, but not being basketball fans, it didn't occur to us that they might be busy. We were shown into the other room, which had a unisex bathroom (plus) and the wait station/kitchen entrance (minus). Maybe it's just me, but I feel like the wait staff should have an area private from the customers....I don't want to hear about how drunk you got last night or about the bitchy customer's or anything else. Anywho... Our waitress was nice, got us our drinks, took our orders. There was a LONG pause between our drinks being empty and our apps being consumed before we got refills/table cleared. It was alright, we were in NO rush and were enjoying the conversation. The appetizer sampler was tasty but pretty small....not something I would share between four people normally. The cheesy garlic knots were great. Exactly what I LOVE about garlic knots: nice crust on the outside, chewy inside, and sitting in a pool of butter and garlic. We all got burgers. I got the garlic and mozzarella stuffed burger, with a house salad, since a friend of mine LIVES for this salad and I wanted to try it. My burger was AWESOME. I asked for it medium, and it was pink in the middle, in spite of it being stuffed with mozzarella and garlic! The char on the outside was perfect and delicious, topped with tomato, onion, and a mix of greens, on a big fresh roll. THE PICKLES! I wonder if they get them from the pickle shop down the street. Hmmm, that was more of an inside thought, but it'sa good one none the less. Go and make sure you eat the pickle. Garlicky, not too vinegary or briny, really crisp and delicious! My salad.............was good. Mixed greens tossed with three cheeses (I think) and dressing. My issue....and it's really me.....is I HATE blue cheese. I swear I don't remember reading on the menu anywhere that one of the cheeses on this salad was blue cheese. That being said, I'm GLAD I didn't see that, because I wouldn't have ordered it. It was really a good salad, different, and I just picked the big chunks of blue cheese out. We didn't get any drinks, but I look forward to seeing how they are the next time I go there. And there will be a next time. I am happy to say my previous review of Mirabella's is entirely opposite from what I experienced this time around.

However, as someone coming in from out of town, the experience wasn't entirely seamless; I found myself having to flag down staff just to get seated, which was a bit of an adjustment for a first-time guest. That said, the service was the highlight of my visit. My server was fantastic--attentive, polite, and genuinely made me feel welcome, as if I were one of their regulars. She really elevated the experience. As for the food, I kept it simple with the burger and fries. While it was a solid, standard meal that I would certainly eat again if I were in the area, it didn't quite hit the mark for me. Whether it was the texture of the bun or the quality of the beef, it felt a bit unremarkable. It's a perfectly fine spot for a regular, casual bite, but given the competition in the city, there's definitely room for them to sharpen up the menu. Heads up for the owner a stout on draft would be great you have 8 drafts & there're basically all the same.

Even though it is a classy setting with views of the dam in the outdoor seating area, they are also very family friendly. They have a kids menu and their drinks came with cute plastic cartoon straw cups. The $17 option comes with ice cream for the kids too. This place could have easily gotten 5 stars if the food wasn't all overly salty (even my kids didn't even eat their fries). It's a pity because everything was plated so beautifully. Their octopus appetizer was not fresh and their ahi tuna was overcooked. When our waiter took our order he didn't ask what our kids wanted to drink even though a drink came with the kids, and we were charged $4 for each when we ordered them drinks. They quickly corrected it when we pointed it out but we also had to remind them about the kids' ice cream (which they mixed up the kids' order too). They did waive the cake cutting fee as we had a party of 10. The only dish that was enjoyable was their roast chicken with black rice. Nevertheless, it is still a nice place to visit if you want a place to relax with a beautiful atmosphere and welcoming to families. The staff were all very friendly and kind.

Who knows what the employees have to deal with on a day-to-day basis to result in service this bad. We were extremely disappointed with our experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff came across as rude and unwelcoming. We asked if we could sit at one of the tables closest to the waterfall, and the response was simply, "Well, it's dirty." Mind you, about 90% of the restaurant was empty. We expected something like, "No problem, give us a moment to clean it off." We're very easygoing and would have completely understood waiting a few minutes. Instead, that interaction set the tone for the rest of the meal. We even pitched in to help the bussing staff. When our waitress finally returned, she immediately said, "Oh, you don't have menus? You forgot them. I know I already gave them to you along with your place settings." Apparently it was a set-your-own-table experience. At that point, it almost felt like we were expected to bring our own service as well. The food quality was underwhelming--We've had better charcuterie on a plane--especially considering the prices. Several ingredients that were listed as part of the dishes were missing. When we asked the busser about it, she said she would check with the kitchen, but she never returned with an answer or any follow-up. Honestly, we would have expected the server to check back regardless, but other than taking our initial order, she never returned to our table, even when we tried to wave her over. So yes no one came back after our food was served to ask how everything was, whether we needed anything, or to address the missing ingredients. Once our order was delivered, we were completely forgotten. Good service means checking on your guests, addressing concerns, and making sure they're enjoying their meal. None of that happened during our visit. When we finally approached the manager, the first response was, "Well, did you eat any of the food?" Yes--we each had a couple of bites of the kale Caesar because we were starving, despite it being served without the advertised pork belly, which was the main ingredient. We had already tried to address our concerns in real time, but no one ever followed up. We're far from people who leave negative reviews. In fact, we think this is only the second bad restaurant review we've ever written. The experience was simply that disappointing. Overall, the combination of rude service, poor management, disappointing food quality, missing ingredients, and a complete lack of follow-through made for an incredibly frustrating dining experience. Unfortunately, we can't recommend this restaurant, and we won't be returning. The view is absolutely gorgeous, but you're better off grabbing a sandwich somewhere else and enjoying it from the nearby bridge.

Walking in we were seated promptly though we immediately noticed that the interior was extremely dark. Not a big deal but worth flagging for older folks who might have a hard time reading. Our server was friendly and relatively attentive and walked us through the menu. We started off with some classics including their bread and butter (which was tasty and delicious) and ordered their P.E.I Mussels ($19) along with their Fried Brussels Sprouts ($15) to share. The portions were quite large for everything (great if you're in a larger party) but we immediately noticed that the mussels they served seemed a bit off. Many of them were not opened all the way (a sign that they might not be the freshest or recently passed) and had a bit of a fishy taste to them. We ended up not finishing them and flagged them to our waiter. The other items, including the 14oz Ribeye ($43) and baby back ribs ($28) were better, though a bit one-note. The bay back ribs in particular were extremely saucy and the corn bread was dry and a bit tough to eat. I had to use a knife to split it apart as it kept crumbling every time I used a fork. Regardless, it seems like a popular spot for a reason and perhaps we just went during more of an off-night. I'd still recommend checking it out but avoiding the mussels if you go.

We were not disappointed. We were seated promptly by our lovely hostess, and Shaun immediately came over to recite specials and to take our orders. He was attentive and we knew we were in good hands! We started with the Dr. Fox Cocktail: Angostura bitters, Bulleit Rye, Apple Liqueur, Dry Curacao, and Sweet Vermouth, which was perfect. It was accompanied by a hummus trio to spread on the bread. There was also a delicious foccacio. Next we were served a perfect salad, delicately dressed, and what made the salad so delightful was that the lettuce was torn into manageable pieces. A pet peeve of mine is large lettuce leaves that are difficult to wrangle, and this was not the case here. There were also tiny bits of cauliflower that gave the salad a nice texture and crunch.  I had the Stuffed Artichoke and my husband had Shrimp Gamberi on an Arugula salad. Both were substantial and beautifully seasoned. We had two glasses of an Argentine Tomero Malbec. It was a generous pour. For the main course, I had Polla al Limone (Lemon Chicken) over spinach. A simple dish done well. My husband had the Halibut special, a classic Mediterranean baked halibut with tomatoes, capers, and olives. So good that he finished it all...a rarity for him. (The halibut was pricey and it would be appreciated if the price was mentioned when the specials were gone over. Perhaps we should have asked.) We finished with a Sorbetto al Lampone, a tart raspberry sorbet in a dark chocolate shell and sliced.  And as we left, our sweet hostess brought over Lucianno, the most adorable puppy, to send us off with puppy kisses! We definitely will be back...especially for the wild boar ragu over pappadelles. One nitpicking observation. The entrance to the restaurant was a tad shabby. We mistook it for the service entrance.
