I've been to Creekside a bunch of times for various occasions. I have also ordered the to-go family meals and have had the catering at an event. The food is great and the best value around. Most recently I really enjoyed the Prime Rib special and every steak I've had here has been cooked to perfection. I have tried almost everything of the menu and would recommend all of it. They recently added Westkill to the tap menu so now this is probably the best place in Catskill to get a beer and sit outside. read more

Very limited menu. Very expensive. My friend wanted ice coffee... they charged her for the coffee, then another dollar for a cup of ice!!! We ordered falafel sandwiches. They were very dry and over spiced. Asked for more Tzatziki sauce, which the sandwich was served with and got charged $4.20 extra!!! Avoid!!!! I'll never go back. read more

I just love their food! The calamari and boneless chicken wings! The cheese burgers are scrumptious! All the salads and dressings are amazing oh yes the garlic sirloin, a must! Fish and chips are as good as in Ireland and the fried shrimp-so good! Can you tell I love this place? The staff are very nice! But check your take out thoroughly. Relax indoors or outdoors on the patio overlooking a marina and water. Located a 3 minute walk from Main Street Catskill, this restaurant and bar offers a variety of of craft beers on tap and reasonably priced food. Service is prompt and cheerful. We ordered a half rack of ribs which came with French fries. Amazingly only $12! Also ordered crab cakes and salad. The ribs were a bit overcooked but tender as they fell off the bones. The fries were just right. Crab cakes were tasty though a bit light of crab. Overall we were very satisfied. Excellent value. read more

Decided to check out Catskill for a couple hours during a trip to Hudson. We chose Creekside Restaurant for lunch and were glad we did! Our server Renee was super nice and knowledgeable about the menu. She made us feel welcome and ensured we were happy with our orders. The back dining area was so loud that we opted for a small table in the bar section of the restaurant which was much quieter because there were only a few others in that area. They also had outdoor seating, but the weather wasn't quite nice enough for that. We had the calamari and General Tso's cauliflower for appetizers which were HUGE portions! Could definitely be for 4 people. Both were really great--such a neat take on the cauliflower! Our entrees were enjoyed as well! With beverages, our bill came to around $70 which seems reasonable for the portions and everything we ordered. A great experience here! read more

Was staying in Cairo at the Catskills Getaway cabins, and got in after dark the first night. Didn't feel like cooking, so we found this unexpected gem along the Catskill Creek. There was only another party of 3 at the bar at the time, however the bartender quickly warmed up to us and had great conversation throughout. We started with the DJ Shrimp. Delicious, just the right bit of kick (spice heat). Then we had Chicken Milanese, and a rotating seasonal pasta called Tuscan Sausage Fusilli with EVOO, spinach and sun dried tomatoes, with a Side of focaccia bread. All were delicious, and very filling. Everything was perfect for a Birthday dinner. The liquor drinks were kind of pricey, but I should have expected that for a double Bulleit I suppose. All in all, absolutely try this gem if you come across it, you will not be disappointed for quality and ambiance. read more

My husband and I always enjoy our experience at Creekside. Upon entering, we are greeted with a warm hello and a smile from Renee, Jonna and Mckenzie. The food is consistently wonderful. We usually go in the afternoon for a couple of appetizers and a salad. We love the Harvest Salad. It's a delicious mix fresh greens, sweet potato and pumpkin seeds. Yesterday we enjoyed the Quessadilla stuffed with chicken, cheese and red peppers. We also had the General Tso's Cauliflower. So good! We can honestly say we have never had a bad experience there. And, we've tried most of the menu. We highly recommend stopping at Creekside for a bite to eat. Also, there is outdoor seating, but we stayed inside with heat. read more

I want to love Creekside because the food is consistently delicious! The burgers are always tasty, the chicken sandwiches are solid, and the harvest salad is a standout. Prices are reasonable too. Unfortunately, the service leaves something to be desired. While the staff is always friendly, they seem perpetually understaffed, leading to long waits for food and even drink orders. On a few occasions, our meals have even arrived cold. With better staffing, this place would be amazing! read more

Had a really delicious meal here today! The blue cheese and peppercorn parmesan dressings on our salads were amazing as well as the crab cake appetizer- all homemade at the restaurant and clearly not from frozen or some warehouse. The half rack of bbq ribs were tender and well seasoned, exceeding our expectations. Service was on point and very accommodating. I'd recommend a visit! read more

I am obsessed with the food here. I have been coming here for many years and always have to get something to eat. Their crab cakes, spiced scallops/shrimp are amazing all the time. The calamari is always fabulous and perfectly cooked. I just tried the chicken egg rolls and they're so full of amazing flavor! I also come here for drinks (it usually starts with just that), and it's always full of entertaining locals. The staff is always great too. This place has huge potential but shamefully misses the mark. The setting is awesome, alongside the Catskill Creek with views of the marina. So why am I staring at massive, lush poison ivy vines climbing the cottonwoods? We ordered calamari as an appetizer. Very tasty recipe with cheese and peppers and not at all rubbery. Why was it mashed together into a strange calamari stew? A little effort on the presentation was missing. French fries are supposed to be hard to stop eating, mot hard to finish because they are so greasy. A Philly Cheesesteak should be hard to finish because you are full, not a couple of cold little cheesesteak sliders. The fish was good but came with the same nasty fries. a GEM of culinary delight, 5 star food in a 2 star establishment. its a BAR and as soon as you face that fact you are in for a great meal. had steamers , clean no sand, wonderful broth and nice bread to sop it up, next calamari in a wonderful sauce with sliced cherry peppers portion enough for 2 and just done to perfection (most places over done and greasy) now the gem the fisherman's platter lobster,shrimp,scallops , all done to perfection (most places over cook atleast 1 of the items) not here. the stuffing in the shrimp was a bit overpowering, not to say it was bad , just distracted the shrimp flavor. I was told the boss was on the line this evening THANKS BOSS !!!!!!! and to our wonderful waitress who treated us like we were rolalty. don't miss this place and bring ear plugs and an appetite. read more

Heard about this restaurant from neighbors. So figured we'd try it. Easy to find. Right at a marina boat launch ion Catskills creek. Very simple atmosphere , with outdoors seating a long bar and inside dining as well. Pretty casual for sure. The Drink were good. No mint for a mojito I was bummed. Still another house special cocktail $13. We split a fried calamari it was very generous and delicious. Pretty chunky marinara sauce. Wife had sliced beef sirloin on baguette slices. Very good. I had the pasta all a vodka. With artichokes spinach & mushrooms. Generous but something was a bit off. Sourish in a way. Might have been the chokes or the spinach juice. Not sure. But I it felt safe. Music was nice and mellow and not too loud. Easy listening. I service very good and attentive. Was nice to watch boats coming and going. I do wish I ordered the hamburger though. Next time I guess. Except next time no cocktails. Check was $74. That hurt a little. We're definitely going to go back again. And hopefully try the sandwiches. read more

I was going to bring a group from work on Friday so I decided to go today to eat and make a reservation. It is beautiful but I waited for 10 mins to be told to get a drink for a 30 min wait which was fine. I asked to still be on the list and outside. I got my drink and waited. People that came in with me, got food, ate and left when I did. 2 parties after me was sat. I asked the bartender for another drink, waited. Waited while she made other drinks. I just went to ask for the check when she informed me "I meant to tell you we ran out of lemonade but I got busy" as if I hadn't ordered before some of these other people. I just paid. Tipped and left but I will never come back and will let people from the hospital to stay clear. Busy is one thing. Bad service is another. read more

One of the worst meals I've had in a while. After the waitress listed off 15 things that they did not have for the night, I attempted to order the French dip. She came back 5 minutes later and told me they were out of roast beef. I then ordered the "seafood basket". She came back AGAIN to tell me they were out of fried clams. I then tried to order the boneless garlic parmesan wings and received a flavorless fried piece of popcorn chicken. I sent them back and she said "can I ask why?" I said "they taste soggy and have no seasoning on them... there's no garlic parmesan and these are not boneless wings." She said "this is how we do it. It's a chicken tender that's basically cut up and fried". Again.... that's not what I would consider a boneless wing. Our waitress mentioned to us that it was her last day on the job, so she didn't really care about the food quality. We were with quite a large party who all complained of similar issues- the oil tasted old, the food was luke warm, and the breading on everyone's fish was soggy and tasteless. I'm extremely unimpressed and will not be returning anytime soon. read more

Creekside - An unexpected gem. It was a Monday evening, and we were looking for a nice place to eat before hiking Hunter Mountain the following day. We checked Yelp and Googled restaurants nearby. Not a lot in Catskill was open on a Monday, but we decided to give the Creekside a try. The entrance to the restaurant was a little tough to find; the sign is discreet, and you have to go around a building to get to the parking lot. TripAdvisor gives Creekside two dollar signs ($$). A quick look at the menu showed a nice diversity of meals, not terribly expensive at all, and very reasonable for seafood. We sat in a cozy nook overlooking the creek (which we later learned is the Catskill Creek). There's a bar, but we don't drink. We were relatively early for dinner, so we didn't have to wait for a table, but it filled up as we were dining. The parties ranged from large groups to just us, the patrons mostly being older adults. The atmosphere was quiet and demure. The interior design was spare; there was not too much ambient noise and no live music, at least while we were there. It was quiet, and we were able to focus on our conversation. I was motivated to write this review because of the quality of the food - in terms of value for money, it was absolutely exceptional. The service was exquisitely timed, and the food arrived warm and beautifully presented. We ordered the fried calamari and split a seafood platter, which included a lovely baked haddock, scallops, and shrimp. The calamari was delicious and tender, unlike other calamari I've had, which tends to be a bit chewy. I was not intending to have dessert, but when the rich lemoncello mascarpone cake my mother had ordered arrived, my self-discipline leapt into the creek. In sum, the Creekside is definitely worth a visit. The only ding I could possibly give it is that they were out of crabmeat. If the crabcakes were of comparable quality to the baked haddock, scallops and calamari, it would be a truly lamentable loss. Hopefully they will have more crabcake when you visit. Had lunch here on a blistering hot day so we sat inside. Not sure what the buzz has been about for this place. Found the location to completely uninspiring. A creek area with old run down homes nearby and across the creek. A dreary parking lot. The outside seating hardly looked spectacular. One the tables had an ashtray overflowing with cig and cigar buts. Yuck! Interior utilitarian and again, uninspired. Wait staff was excellent! Kind and efficient. The kitchen was slow, slow, slow. We ordered a chicken sandwich - nice chicken, well grilled with nice char flavor. A club wrap - just fine. A friend ordered Seafood platter. Said it was good for the first few bites, then the breading and grease felt heavy and he couldn't finish it. Not a hideous place, but not terribly inspiring food or location-wise. Meh. read more

Driving through and picked Creekside from the reviews. Thoroughly disapointed. We sat inside (too hot to sit outside) and had a nice table overlooking the creek. A few minutes in we had black flies buzzing about, landing on us, the table, ick. We focused & ordered 2 Caesar salads (one with chicken) bbq boneless wings, and spud bites as app. The spud bites were ok, we ate them. Reminded me of what I do with old leftover baked potatoes at home. Eh. But, we were hungry and ate half the plate.. Salads next. Wow, just wow. The lettuce was warm and wilted. Dressing was fine but I could barely stomach the warm, wilted lettuce. Boneless wings came next and they cemented my bad choice of this place. They were fatty, wet meat globs that tasted like fish. We couldn't even eat them. My son scattered the wings on plates. I asked him what he was doing, he replied "Moving them around so they think we ate them". Such a kind 16 year old! But, I put them back on the plate. Let the waitress know of the fish taste. She checked in the kitchen & said the oil was changed recently. Which basically just confirmed they fry fish and poultry in the same oil. Hence, the fish taste. It might not bother many ppl, but here? Oh, heck no. Gross. The waitress was very pleasant, and her service was on par. She removed the wings off my bill, a gracious gesture. I would still never go back. Met up with some family for an early mother's day dinner. Our orders varied from chicken dishes to steak to lamb chop specials. Everything was very good and made with obvious care. I think my one complaint was that my mashed potatoes were luke warm at best but it was a pretty busy day so i get it. I was impressed by some little things. Each sauce tasted more like a fresh pan sauce instead of something scooped out of a big premade bucket. Breading on my chicken was definitely of a different recipe than the breading on my calamari. Seafood entrees looked very fresh as I saw them passing our table. Our service was great. Beer menu had one or two interesting options along side all the basics. read more

We just had a very pleasant experience here! Outside seating is nice, along the water. Our waitress however, was the best part of the whole experience-truly outstanding. She is new...two weeks on the job! They need to keep her! She has the two braids, a great personality and is also "on the ball" offering suggestions, noting which items are not available and keeping track of FOUR tabs on a table of 7 without a blink. Did I mention tht it started pouring rain in the middle of our meal on the deck? We squeezed under our umbrellas and were fine but she had to continue trekking to our table. Harvest salad with a crab cake was very good as was my husband's hamburger. The only reason it is not five stars is because we had the lunch menu so couldn't try the real meals.
