This cute riverside restaurant & bar in a small town offered a limited menu of traditional American food. The service was fast and friendly, they accommodated us even when they were close to closing and offered a great substitute for the tequila blanco that I usually enjoy. The food was tasty, cauliflower app and a salad was great.

My husband, toddler and I had a lovely riverfront meal at Patrick Henry's! Service was very friendly and fast and we really enjoyed the ambiance on the deck with the view. I asked for a cider and was informed by the wonderful server that there were many kinds of ciders to choose from. All were very unique! I got strawberry rhubarb and it was delicious. All of our food was excellent. Definitely recommend this spot!

Friendly staff with delicious food. A nice community atmosphere within steps of the Hudson River.

Stopped in during an afternoon visit to the re-awakened Coxsackie. We love visiting this charming River town with really nice people. Patrick Henry's is a pub that's informal and welcoming yet, with plenty of lovely refinements to please everyone. We only stopped in for drinks this time and ---oh my! We chose the New School G & T" that made with Mermaid Gin, kumquat syrup, lime juice, Fever Tree Tonic. It comes garnished with a grapefruit wedge. Imagine one of the best gin and tonics that you've ever had. Now, add to that picture that you are sitting outside with beautiful view of green space and the Hudson River. Ahhhhhh.... We'll grab bite here next time. Will update then.

What a fun spot! I met a friend at Patrick Henry's and we both really enjoyed it. The staff was super friendly and attentive, and service was quick and efficient. My friend ordered the wings and was really happy with them! We each ordere a pizza, I got the margherita and she got the ultra-roni. We both enjoyed! I was expecting the mozz to be differen but it was still really enjoyable. The sauce was flavorful and I REALLY enjoyed the crust - it was thin and perfectly crispy. Let me tell you about the nutella empanadas. Wow. Just wow. Perfectly fried, perfectly stuffed with nutella. The only not perfect thing is it comes with 3 and I'd prefer like 10 or so but alas. And only $6! You must get these. I sincerely hope these are never taken off the menu. We sat outside and while it was windy and pretty chilly, I still really enjoyed it. The inside seems pretty small but has a good sized bar. Restroom was clean. I'll certainly make the drive from Albany to Coxsackie to visit Patrick Henry's again!

Normally, when I think of Coxsackie, New York, I don't think of dining establishments, but I am so glad that Patrick Henry's has opened here! Like with any new restaurant, there are always going to be things that need to be worked through when they first open, but I really love everything about this place and what they have done so far. Waterfront dining, a really warm and welcoming staff, an elevated beverage program and great upscale pub food at a very reasonable price across-the-board. This place really is a hidden gem, as word gets out. I think it is going to get even more busy, especially with the event center next door and the hotel opening in the near future.

Serving limited menu. Best option is the cauliflower appetizer, very good, and then a huge pizza. I'd like one slice, please.

Day Line Oyster Bar + Kitchen opened recently at the James Newbury Hotel in Coxsackie. This modern…read morerestaurant & bar is located on the top level 5th floor and is owned and operated by local restaurateur Dominick Purnomo. The place offers seating at the full service long bar with a great view of the Hudson River and the Town of Stuyvesant across the river, long high booth/high table . regular table seating. There will also be an outside deck with more seating overlooking the Hudson River. The food offers include a variety of raw bar seafood (oysters, littleneck clams, jonah crab claw, jumbo shrimp cocktail, shrimp ceviche), signature caviar, seafood entrees & appetizers, crab cakes, filet mignon, black angus burgers, lobster rolls, clam chowder, and salads. They also serve a weekend brunch menu with raw bar selections, caviar, salads, chowder, poached egg dishes, hash & eggs (caviar), burgers, lobster rolls, croissant French toast bake. The pricing is on the high side. I stopped by Day Line Oyster Bar + Kitchen for brunch recently. The place wasn't too busy and I could sit wherever I wanted. After I took a seat at a high long booth seat, the server arrived with menus and a bottle and cup of cold water. For a starter, the Citrus Ceviche ($14 plus tax) was nicely presented with a mole spread topped with the chopped shrimp, pico de gallo and a few thicker crisp tortilla chips. For a brunch entree, the Hash and Eggs ($32 plus tax) was served in plate bowl which had very firm roasted fingerling potatoes, shallot, bell peppers, baby spinach, Jonah crab, Maine lobster claw meat, Old Bay hollandaise, and signature caviar (eggs). This filling dish had an interesting mix of ingredients, but the overall taste was on the salty side. I did find a couple small crab shell in the crab meat, but otherwise the Hash & Eggs was a solid dish. After I finished my brunch, I had enough and got the check, which was $49.68 with tax and before tip. There was a QR code on the check, which allows for online payment through Toast. Overall, the food I ordered was pretty good and the server was efficient getting food to me promptly. I will have to come back when the weather is nicer, so I can eat outside on the deck looking at the Hudson River.

We did not visit the patio but other guests were using the space. This reviews is mixed with a 2 for service and a 5 for food. My favorite items were the crab cakes and nachos. The seafood tower was also a nice starter to the meal. Other have noted the nachos were stingy on caviar but we had plenty. So service, the restaurant was empty Friday night at 730. But the hostess sat us at a microscopic 2 person high top. We attempted to order two different bottles of white wine and neither were in stock. We settled on a third choice Sauv Blanc and did not receive bottle service. In fact the server was twisting off the wine cap while walking to the table and dumped the wine into both our glasses. We had to ask for share plates which we dropped loudly on the table not placed in front of each guest. I dont recall the server visiting the table after we ordered entrees. We had to request our bill, and wait to pay while we observed the server completing side work. During the wait to pay the bill we sat with three finished dinner plates in front of us. The plates were not cleared. I truly expected the steps of service to be higher considering this restaurant is associated with Yonos in Albany.

I didn't stay at the hotel because it is pretty pricey, but I visited their Lounge after getting dinner in town. Didn't have a reservation so getting into the restaurant bar was impossible but they told us we could walk around the corner to their lounge. Upon entering the lounge, we were greeted immediately and told that there was no available seating due to full reservations yet half the bar and a few of the lounge tables were empty. The guy said he would take our names and that it could be up to an hour wait so we did that and stood there. After nearly 45 minutes and those empty bar seats + lounge yankee still not being filled, he offered us a half of a couch next to another couple. We would've sat next to them sooner if only he let us! Aside from that, service was fast and drinks were good. The menu included signature cocktails that paired with the Maker's signature fragrances. I tried the Rebel which was pretty good. We ordered some bites -- the beef tartare with onion rings and a side of fries. I love a beef tartare which is so rare to find as many places offer Tuna. It really hit the spot. Moral of the story: Make a reservation!

Wow, what a treat to experience Willy's Rum Room on its opening night! Well, technically the space…read moreitself has been open for some time now, it's just moonlighting as Willy's now. By day, you know it as the Mercantile, the small coffee shop/bakery attached to Wm. Farmer and Sons. Though small in size and in what it offers, Willy's is a formidable venue. The cocktail program was created by the guy who created that of Wm. Farmer and Sons, which is probably the best of its kind in Hudson. As you'd guess, all drinks are rum-based (feel free to order from the adjacent bar if you're not feeling rum but in my opinion, only pop in here if you're looking for some funky rum cocktails). I'm not typically into rum, but I can be swayed if a drink is good enough. Such was the case here, and it didn't surprise me. Come here for a pre-dinner cocktail or a nightcap and learn a bit about a spirit you might've not thought much about prior to visiting. Welcome to the scene! Came here with my bf on a Friday night. We were getting dinner at Wm. Farmer and Sons but arrived a bit early for our reservation. Our gracious host recommend that we hang by the bar, OR, try out Willy's, just through the entryway. We apparently visited on its opening night, and I hope it enjoys a good life here. The hostess informed us that the cocktail menu there was different than that at Wm. Farmer and Sons--all rum-based--but if we weren't feeling rum, the bartender could still whip anything up from the restaurant's main menu. As I mentioned, the space itself is teeny tiny. Standing room only--more of a place to stop in as opposed to posting up and staying awhile. Just like its parent restaurant, the vibe in here is cozy and welcoming. Let's get to the important stuff: drinks. Everything at Willy's is rum-based. Even if you're not a rum lover, don't just assume you'll prefer the cocktail menu at Wm. Farmer and Sons better. I usually go for whiskey or gin, but I was thrilled with what I tried here. That said, if you come here and for some odd reason decide that you want to stay in this space but order from the other bar, you can indeed do that. I just don't suggest it, because what's the point? Between me and my bf, we tried the Mai Tai (Jamaican Rum, Bajan Rum, Rhum Agricole, Fresh lime juice, Curacao, Orgeat, Overproof Rum float) and the Fish House Punch (Jamaican Rum, Cognac, Peach Liquer, fresh lemon juice, soda water). Both fun tropical drinks, nice for the beginning of spring. Expertly crafted and impeccably balanced. I suppose I preferred the Fish House Punch slightly, but they were both fantastic. I thought the peach/cognac pairing was quite nice, rich but still refreshing. They also offer a Daiquiri and an Old Fashioned here, with your rum of choice. I'd probably recommend exploring that route if you want to explore different rums and understand a bit more about what each type brings to the table. I know lots about gin and whiskey and don't care to know too much more about rum (plus I don't like rum-based, spirit-forward drinks so the old fashioned would be a no-go) so it wasn't for me. That said, the bartender here is as knowledgable as they come and I somewhat regret not asking him about his selection to learn a bit more. They've got some fun stuff here that's worth looking into. Cheers!
