The Maker Lounge is a one-of-a-kind experience. The drinks are fantastic, and the perfumes smell amazing--there are even signature cocktails inspired by each scent. The servers are so kind and give great drink recommendations. It was such a treat to sample the perfumes and see how they smelled on me before purchasing. Everyone needs to visit at least once.

We went here with a group of girls for cocktails after dinner nearby. The lounge looks like a speakeasy and the cocktails were great! They have a lot of fragrant drinks with well thought out ingredients. They also let us smell their fragrances which paired with the drinks. The vibe was great and we ended up buying some of their perfumes before we left too. Def a great spot to come and grab a nice cocktail!

This is the Naked Cocktail from their fragrance menu. As the frozen layers melt the drink continues to change flavor. Yum!

Cocktails so well made that we ended both evenings in town here. Every one was expertly made with the best ingredients and by wonderful and highly knowledgeable mixologists. Ambiance was beautiful! As another reviewer said, they must have spent a fortune on the design and renovation. While some other reviewers have complained about the "high prices", I found them reasonable for what you got. Many of the ingredients had to be custom made ahead of time in small batches, which takes time and effort. As will much else in this town, the prices were similar to what you'd find in large cities, but unlike much of the overpriced and under-delivered food found in Hudson, these cocktails were appropriately priced for the great ris delivered. Note: We did not try the food. Was also nice to see female mixologists.

We had an incredible experience at The Maker Lounge in Hudson, NY celebrating my birthday and anniversary with my husband. Emma our host provided impeccable service and was very knowledgeable about the stunning property. Thank you to her and everyone for a memorable night!

What a perfect retreat! Came in one afternoon for a libation and LOVED the vibe. It's beautiful! And they have a stunner of a cocktail list. I loved the velvet, wood, and romantic interior of it all. I would love to just sit here for hours and sip on drink after drink and enjoy the moody vibes.

Visited The Maker Lounge for the first time during a recent trip to Hudson, NY. I had heard great things about The Maker Hotel, which had just opened a few weeks ago so we wanted to check out everything from the lounge to the cafe. We had checked out The Maker Cafe earlier that day and was disappointed by the quality of the service there so we were a little nervous about checking out The Maker Lounge, but it didn't disappoint! This is a beautiful bar inside a former carriage house that makes you feel like you're inside Gatsby's private lounge and I loved all the details and the color scheme. We ordered the Hotel Nacional Special cocktail and the Secret Garden cocktail and both were refreshing. We also ordered the arancini to snack on before dinner. This was our first time grabbing drinks inside a bar in over seven months, but the bartenders here were really friendly and made us feel safe and welcome with proper social distancing measures. Would love to come back here when they change their cocktail menu for the wintertime.

Went for brunch on a whim and early enough to get a table. The host was amazing. Exceptionally friendly and great at making you feel welcome and cared for. The space was perfectly inviting, open and airy while still feeling intimate. Every detail was clearly well thought out. The Bloody Mary with the pepper tequila substitute was the best bloody I've ever had. A perfect blend of all the right ingredients. Kudos to the bartender's creativity. The house made sausage was without a doubt exceptional and the "greens," a seemingly simple Mixed green salad that was delicious enough to make me rethink my dinner salads at home. The duck confit was just enough without being too rich, the portion is big enough for 2 to share. Our server was exceptional! Present at all the right times but not invasive at all. The experience was luxuriously casual, unrushed, as brunch should be, with a little edge of decadence and a feeling of being invited to a close friends home for a simple and magical get together. I would literally drive up from NYC any weekend morning to have this experience all over again.

The service was done in a way that I like the most which is professional very nice very knowledgeable, but also not overbearing. The food was excellent: we experimented with two appetizers, the roasted carrots that were very generous and very delicious, and a white trout dip that was fresh and also very delicious. I love seafood so very excited to get fresh seafood here! For the main I had a grilled black bass that was incredible, cooked to perfection. My wife had one of their vegetarian offerings - a zucchini pasta - that was also very flavorful. The portions were so generous that we didn't have room for dessert, but we did spy the cheesecake at the table next to ours which looked yummy and also a very generous portion. All in all a terrific restaurant, and I'd be thrilled to go back again.

Also offering a lit fire place giving a homey vibe. The service was good and polite. This place gives farm to table concept and the limited menu seems to be seasonal. We ordered the smashed marble potatoes (which I think was the best thing we had) the endives salad was ehh, the mussels which were salty and ordered a burger and steak both med well and the steak was med and the burger well done both served with French fries. The dessert was pretty tasty a chocolate bread pudding à la mode . Overall it wasn't a tasty dinner and the menu is giving too creative I hope to see them put more creativity into the actual food. The space is beautiful, ingredients are all fresh and outstanding, and there's clearly a love for the spot from everyone working at Casa Susanna. The cocktail menu is unique and fun. Yes you could get a margarita, but everything on the menu is so interesting from Raicilla drinks to Carajillos, there's so much to love. The space feels like a film set and you need to make sure you get a reservation so you can enjoy rather than sitting outside or at the bar. Surprisingly reservations were harder to come by than expected the weekend I was there. The dishes are all great, with the Duck being my standout dish, just perfectly cooked and really exemplifying the beauty of Hudson Valley + Mexican cuisine. The tetela was also a real standout despite the simplicity of the dish. It leaned into good mexican food, withou ttrying to do too much. Each and every cocktail was fun and good! We'll be back, but not too often. The prices are high, and match the quality of the ingredients, but at $100 a person or more, it was not cheap.

Since they are already finalists, according to James Beard, I'll spend this review explaining more…read morewhy I only gave it three stars. The food in general was well prepared, delicious and certainly had a sophisticated knowledge of spicing in flavoring. But it's more the minor details that stops an experience from being a really wonderful one. So here are some details, you may think I'm crazy or you may relate. The first was coffee: they didn't have decaf and they don't have half-and-half. I'm not going to speculate why, but for quite a few of us decaf is a true pleasure and it'd be nice to have that available. To the waitresses credit she offered to bring me milk and cream, so I could make my own half-and-half? That was a first! The second was the hot chocolate: the actual hot chocolate was quite delicious, Mexican style with some cinnamon. But it was topped with a mountain of whipped cream and some small crunchy pieces. I think it's pretty standard nowadays that when you're going to top a drink like that the staff tends to ask whether you like whipped cream or not. I really dislike whipped cream so had to scoop all that stuff off. The next one was just simply funny: when you're ordering a side order of eggs, one option they list on the menu is a sunny side up egg, one of the other options is to have a "fried egg". I asked the waitress what exactly a fried egg was, she didn't know. She asked the chef, and apparently they didn't know either. So I ordered it over easy, hoping that was doable, but I just got a sunny side up egg instead. And lastly, was the ambience: the space is quite nice and comfortable, but if you're sitting in the outer ring near the windows and it's a very cold winter day (which it was when we ate) expect to be cold in there. They kindly offered to hang our coats, but I had to keep mine on the whole time. Maybe if the insulation and heating system is unable to keep up, you bring in a couple space heaters for the day?
