Stopped in from out of town Place is a vibe and the food is great Didn't take a picture before eating 10/10 pizza read more

Very fun and cool spot with a schoolhouse theme that's done very well. Came here for a casual dinner and it was perfect. Loved the fun composition book drinks, file folder menu, and the pencil taps. The decor was fun to look at. The food was great too! Loved the smash burger, chicken sandwich, and wings. Caesar salad was good too but we felt that it could've used a larger portion of chicken. Overall service was quick and would be back! They seem to do a lot of live music and DJs during the week as well. read more

The atmosphere at this brewery is genuinely wonderful, and the wait staff is kind and attentive, making the initial visit quite pleasant. Unfortunately, the experience took a sharp turn when the food arrived. I ordered a $4.00 slice of pizza, but quality control was completely absent. When the slice finally arrived at the table, it was old, reheated, and burnt--something anyone looking at it would immediately recognize as unfit to serve. What makes this completely baffling is that this subpar item was brought out directly by one of the owners. When ownership is directly involved in handing over a stale, burnt product that should have been discarded, it raises serious questions about why the kitchen let it pass their quality control and why leadership chose to serve it. A great taproom vibe and polite servers cannot compensate for a standard where food of that caliber is passed off to a customer. RESPONSE TO OWNER I spent 4 years during college (almost every day) making pizzas. After the first month, I was in charge of producing the dough, cheese, sauce, and prepping the condiments. We developed a dough that uses multiple flours, a mixture of cheeses rather than a single cheese on top, and we bloomed the spices for our raw sauce to enhance and retain its flavor. I can taste a pizza and tell you the quality of the cheese, whether the dough was made properly, and how fresh it is. A properly made slice should sag a little when held -- not stand stiff like a board or snap apart. The fact that part of the crust was black, there were black spots on the bottom, the sauce was discolored, and the cheese was flat against the slice indicated the slice had been refrigerated and reheated. When you first heat a pie, depending on the cheese blend, there is always oil released due to the fat content in the cheese. When cheese is heated, its fat begins to liquify and separate, so the amount of oil released is proportional to the cheese's fat content. That is exactly why we mixed cheese types: to control fat release and enhance flavor. Your slice was completely dry. Selling a slice for $4.00 or more does not guarantee quality -- it only means people are willing to pay it. The fact that you said it was late in the afternoon and there were no fresh pies is inconsequential. The slice should never have been served. I should have been told we do not have any fresh slices now and allowed me to choose a different product. The fact that your response included details that never happened leads me to believe the explanation was fabricated to avoid acknowledging the slice was reheated. When a business invents facts instead of addressing the actual issue, it tells me the problem isn't the customer -- it's the product. I'm a senior citizen on a fixed budget, and I don't go out to eat often. When I do, even for something as simple as a slice of pizza, I look for establishments that take pride in what they serve and respect their customers by putting out quality items. I might not always agree with every preparation choice, but I do expect honesty and accountability. Your reply didn't acknowledge the problem -- it shifted responsibility onto me instead of simply apologizing for a bad slice. That kind of defensiveness doesn't build trust. I'm not looking for a free slice or a pint; I was looking for pride in the product that enhances the dining experience and respect for the customer by both presenting a quality product and being honest. Your response didn't reflect either. read more

Cool gem we found while passing through town. Perfect spot for a quick bite and a drink. The West Coast-style IPA selection was amazing, and the pizza hit the spot. Service was fast and friendly, and the open seating made it feel like a welcoming, family-friendly neighborhood hangout. Would definitely stop by again when we're in the area. read more

Really enjoyed our experience here we will definitely be back. There is a nice paddling put in right down the street. We ordered the smash burgers she got the single I got the double, so two patties for me. Mine were really juicy and flavorful hers was overcooked. They did not ask for temperature I guess normally would smash burgers they don't. We also got a slice of pizza each she got plain cheese I got pepperoni. The texture of the pizza was nice and crunchy very strong pepperoni flavor I loved it. Her slice wasn't that great because the cheese or sauce flavor it wasn't amazing, I guess my pepperonis dominated the flavor of my pizza which I was very happy with since I love pepperoni. I got an amazing West Coast IPA called West Friend from there, which I would definitely get again thank you for making that style of beer! read more

Just edging out Pizzeria Posto, Night School has the best New York slice I have found in the Hudson Valley. Great atmosphere, excellent drink menu, it's the kind of place you want to hangout with your friends. The pepperoni was plentiful and perfectly cupped. The undercarriage crispy with just the right flop. And the crust was tasty but not surgery. Posto might have a slightly better technique. But Night School's charm and the size of their pies make them a destination. If you're near Catskill, Cairo, Saugerties, or Hudson it's worth making the trek. read more

Funky atmosphere in a nice way, good beer selection, good dough on pizza, red sauce a bit too spicy!

Person at bar was welcoming and I appreciate they are open late. However my pizza was salty and felt reheated. The vegetarian burger had a nice bun but was served with a small salad. It was overpriced and no real service beyond bringing out the food. You have to seat yourself, get your own water etc. read more

Good food and great iPA's. Friendly staff. Fun town. Had the pizza and wings and a couple beers. All excellent

Excellent vibe, delicious specialty drinks and in house "deep fried" beers. One of the best burgers I have ever had!! Fries were great too. Pizza... excellent! Owner/ bartender in addition to the rest of the staff are attentive and the right amount of friendly. Live music was a pleasant addition. Feels like a place you would want to come to whenever possible. Can't wait to come back! read more

Stopped in on a Sunday to check out a new to me brewery and I am absolutely thrilled with the experience! Tried their pale ale- tastes a bit more like an IPA which I love! Also tried the DANGER ZONE weekly cocktail special - it's a must try- coffee lime and coconut explosion! The real winner was the Hot knots, got them to go and they were so crispy on the outside full of flavor (garlicky and a little heat) with THE BEST RANCH I have had to date! The staff were very personable and knowledgeable - go show them some love! read more

Night School opened in Athens recently, which offers 12 draft beers including several Deep Fried Beers, Crossroads, Union Street Brewing Allagash, Graft Farn, Von Trapp and Miller, plus beer cans/bottles, wine, and cocktails. Non-alcoholic drinks including can soda (Coke products, IBC Root Beer, Siciliana fruit sodas, Pellegrino, & apple juice) also served here. They also offer several crafted pizzas by the slice and whole pies with the selection changing daily. This local bar has a classic down home atmosphere with hardwood floors, a long bar with seating and several tables. The lighting is dim and there are classic framed historic pictures on the walls. The place was a bit noisy with echoing in the dim open room. While I was traveling the scenic route north towards Albany, I stopped by Night School recently to try their pizza. I thought about ordering a whole pizza, $24-$29 range, which most customers were getting with their DFB. Since they also offer pizza slices (not on the online ordering platform), I decided to order three pizza slices including pepperoni ($4.75), daily meat ($5.25), and daily veggie ($5.25). The slices were heated up in the oven and ready to go in about 7 minutes. I enjoyed my pizza slices back at the vehicle. The thin crust was firm and chewy. The pepperoni slice had several pieces of cup pepperoni slices, greasy mozzarella cheese, and red sauce. The daily meat slice was topped with red sauce, mozzarella cheese, sausage, basil, calabrian chili pepper. The daily veggie slice was topped with red sauce, mozzarella cheese, goat cheese, pickled jalapenos, & pineapple. Each of the pizza slices were pretty good for my quick dinner on the road. read more

This is a bar, you will not be served at a table. You need to put the order in at the bar, do not expect to be given plates or silverware when you are served your appetizer, it just doesn't happen. You need to throw your empty appetizer paper plate in the garbage that is on the floor located near another guest table. The server does as little as possible, anything outside the bar area is not going to happen, she will just bring you your food. You will need to leave your credit card at the register to keep an open tab. Do NOT order the slices, it looks like they were put out from the night before for show. The "Ambiance" is meh ... music, eclectic furniture, it's a bar, don't expect much. The music choice is acceptable. They have a cooler with canned/bottled drinks - you need to request for a glass and if you want ice, request that also. The spicy garlic knots were interesting, different and not bad at all. The 8 slice pepperoni pizza was good. Thin crust and crunchy, again, not bad. Oh, and the female server really doesn't have any people skills - maybe she's new - idk. read more

Night School - The slices - again, do not order these, they've been there all day or even from the day before. - Pizza Near Me - Athens, New York

The drinks are the highlight of the space. This seems appropriate since this is a bar. The pizza by the slice leaves a lot to be desired. Overcooked to the degree that it was largely inedible. But the space is great for gathering and the service is great, even with bad pizza by the slice being meh. read more

Great atmosphere, tasty cocktails and really good food. Love the pizza! This has become our new favorite hangout.

Night School came highly recommended by some trusted locals. This pizza is phenomenal. Everything was excellent, the sauce, crispiness of the crust and the fresh toppings. Easily my new favorite spot. The guys inside were knowledgeable and focused on consistency with both the pizza and their Deep Fried beers (one of the best micro-brewed IPAs I've had in the area, and there are hundreds). I'm surprised Dave Portnoy from Barstool hasn't reviewed them yet! read more

Night School - White pizza with sausage & red onion. Perfectly cooked with zero flop! - Pizza Near Me - Athens, New York

We had an early dinner here on a wintry day... Hit the spot! Two draft beers, one night, school, and the other West-something -or-other, both were great. One pizza, cheese with artichoke and mushrooms, tasty with sourdough crust, couldn't finish it all! Service is at the bar, so figure out what you want and then walk up and order. Nice funky music and old black-and-white films with subtitles, a friendly low-key vibe. read more

This place is so very cute and cool, and the pizza is spectacular.
