Visited here today and everything was amazing from the drinks and food!! The selections were amazing and I have a feeling that any of the food would be appetizing. Will definitely be returning!

What a find! This off beat little place has a huge assortment of beers, on tap and by the can. Their menu is simple with an assortment of gourmet grilled cheese (yum) and some amazing and reasonably priced charcuterie boards with local cheeses. Great place to stop for lunch.

Lets get into it: as you walk into this small bar instantly draws you in where your nostrils are met with the smell of melted cheeses eloping in the crispiness of fresh bread. I had the landlords board, very good, the cheese didn't have much of the taste but everything else complimented each taste. The spicy grilled cheese, ugh amazing. I thought I would be picky about the peppers but ended up LOVING it. The crunch of the bread made it even better. I wish I could of tried their other grilled cheese options. UGH so good.

What an excellent and quaint beer bar with stunningly creative and crisp grilled cheeses. (I had one with bayley hazen blue, cheddar, and a fig spread, on sourdough. Lots of attention to detail, and the balance of cheeses was perfect Beer selection is very well curated and diverse here with all the local rock stars hits from Suarez to imported lambics. A real local, neighborhood vibe, that fits nicely within the downtown of historic kinderhook. Outdoor seating and heat lamps available during covid. Worth a pop by to support a local gem.

Love the very cool and local vibe

Amazing spot for a break on our route back home from upstate. The town of Kinderhook was adorable (a town that looks exactly as it sounds) and this lovely little restaurant and bar gave us the perfect excuse to enjoy it. Beer selection was excellent and local. Food was delicious and interesting and the service was excellent. During the pandemic we care a lot about places taking mask wearing and infection control seriously and thought this place was top notch. Felt very safe and happy to have a lovely spot to enjoy outside.

Great cheeses and beers! What a perfect fall stop after a walk down the road at Olana!

Fun spot for a beer and sandwich. The decadent and little spicy twist on a Reuben with a duck, kimchi Reuben was fantastic.

Talbott & Arding was chosen as our first stop on our girls' getaway journey. Tucked in the Hudson Valley, just an hour from the Berkshires, it was a sweetly energetic beginning to our day. We each chose a sandwich from the counter. My smoked salmon on focaccia was a delight. The bread, airy and light, beautifully happy yeast just bounding with lift, defying the constraints of olive oil which left my fingers gloriously glistening. I haven't had a focaccia as happy as that in a minute. Super thin radish, bright pickled shallot and fresh watercress all gave a nice vibrant touch. Ben's cream cheese couldn't possibly be creamier. And the delicate, silky, fresh, luxurious salmon... What a dream. So balanced. I filled my arms with goods- iberico salami, Aleppo chili oil, Blackstrap coffee beans, local chocolates, and an adorable Talbott & Arding puzzle. I'm sure I could have easily convinced myself to buy just about everything I laid my eyes upon. The cheese counter was an absolute work of art. It's clear that Talbott & Arding is a willing servant to the gifts of the surrounding earth and people. The homage it pays is palpable. Our stop at Talbott & Arding set the tone for an intentional, peaceful, vibrant, cozy, delicious, connected trip. I'll be back immediately.

(Certainly a lucky neighborhood) It looks small from the street but once you walk in, it opens up to a sizable store. We were greeted by a friendly staff member, he took the time to describe their cheese selection and the other things going on in the shop. He then pivoted to giving us tons of help selecting the right cheese. We sampled a couple of things and then he dialed in three choices for us to buy. (With an assist from another customer that insisted that we would love the Delice de Bourgogne) Prices were reasonable enough for the quality. We added some gourmet crackers that were neutral enough to not overpower the cheese. The next day, we made the three cheeses the focus of our lunch. The Delice de Bourgogne was the star of the show, a creamy, earthy, and savory masterpiece. The two year aged Gouda and creamy blue cheese were delightful as well! It's a cute place and I love the wallpaper. I ordered food and the lady that took my order was having trouble focusing/ listening and added things to my bill. When I corrected her; she seemed to be paying attention, I thought she removed the item but she didn't. I order a drink (coffee) also and then changed my mind. When I told her I didn't want it she said she couldn't resell the paper cup to someone else. I know.... I know.. you must be thinking (WHAT it's just coffee!) I explained I didn't see the other sign with special drinks. So even though I wanted another drink that was more money, she kept it on my bill and gave it to me. That was when I decided not to go back ever again. Poor service, then I had added that specialty drink along with the coffee I got stuck with. Only to not ever receive it. I had to bother another girl to get my drink. She did tell me to wait she had to get this family's order first. That was rude. I waitressed before, so I can say that. Meanwhile I had finished my food (which was good) and coffee that I didn't want. I was there at least 30 mins and 15mins before the other family. They weren't busy. There was no excuse for poor service.

Because now, I realize how lacking all other dairy products are. Seriously. We purchased milk from High Lawn during our stay at a local long-term let with a full kitchen. We brought home milk and ice cream. When that ran out and we returned to our regular 'store bought' milk, I was like 'what am I drinking?' You don't know how good High Lawn Farms milk is, until you don't have it any more. If I lived near here, this is the only place I would get my dairy. Now, the ice cream! So, so, so good! It's not overly sweet. The flavor is just right. Again, not over done. It's 'light'. I don't know how to explain it. I got two scoops and when I saw how much ice cream that was I thought I'd 'never be able to eat all that.' But the ice cream texture is light, not heavy. It's still creamy, but not in the same way as my local farm made ice cream is made. It's light and those two scoops were just the right amount. The store offers more than milk and ice cream by the pint. They also sell a selection of High Lawn farm cheeses and frozen cuts of beef among other things. Besides the store and the ice cream trailer, you can visit the cows and calves in the barn. There are also older calves in the field by the ice cream trailer that you can pet. They come right up to the fence looking for pets. Anyway, you can see I am a fan of High Lawn Farm. Go. Don't think about it. Go. Get the ice cream. Get the milk. Compare it to your 'regular' dairy. You'll understand.
