Yet another spectacular night at the pub. This is THE spot to be on Main St at any given day. The Pub easily has the best bartenders in upstate new york. Brian, Laney, and Shane are outstanding and unmatchable bartenders. They are attentative, personable, and all possess a great sense of humor to make you feel a warm welcome. The food never dissapoints. I have a regular order, but tend to switch it up on occasion as to try new things. The cooks are fantastic and the meals/appatisers are flawless. Full of flavor and served with excellent presentation. I would also like to mention, the pool table upstairs is a great time and a fun peice to the pub! As we approach the cold winter, I advise you to become a regular at the pub. Wether it be for a lunch date, or a late night beer, it will be one of the best decisions you make, I assure you.

Slab of carrot cake with rum cream. A Guinness and some wine; comfort food.

Cold, rainy March night in Chatham, NY. We felt the need to get out for dessert. The People's Pub has the (gas) fireplace and the working kitchen welcoming us for carrot cake with rum cream. Neighbors are at the bar,". Glad we stepped out.

Nice dinner spot. The drinks/beer selection is expansive. We really enjoyed the burrata and calamari shared plates. We both had the burgers which we also recommend.

What an awesome atmosphere and experience. Worth the 8 minute wait until they opened for the evening. Me and my friends sat in the back by the open kitchen. We were able to speak to everyone including Gabriel the chef, until the place started to fill up. A small menu but enough to wet your appetite. Two of us decided on the burger with aged cheddar, tomato, lettuce, homemade pickle, ketchup w confit fries OMG and we made it a ROYALE which added bacon, garlic aioli and crispy shallots. So big and so good and cooked to order. The confit fries by the way wasnt on the burger but on the side. During our meal time we noticed the serving area the delicious chicken wings and had to try them as well so my friend actually ordered them "coconut peanut with sesame and cilantro" yes Asian style. They were awesome. Yes the burger was great but these wings were incredible, crispy and meaty with great different flavor. It may have taken we a while to get here but so glad I finally did. The service was good and enjoyed getting our bill in the renaissance Italy book.

Honestly, don't waste your time or money unless you like poor service, drinks, and food. We had the devils on horseback as an app which were dates wrapped in bacon and stuffed with blue cheese...the only good item. The main course was a bacon ranch chicken sandwich, which consisted of a couple pieces of burnt bacon, shredded cheese mixed with ranch dressing and the best part was the extra thin sliced over cooked chicken tender. Legit the worst...please see the proof in the picture below.

"We don't have a cocktail menu, but we can make anything you'd like."…read more That was one of the first things our server told us, and honestly, it was refreshing. These days, it feels like every bar has a cocktail menu full of creatively named drinks that require reading a list of ingredients just to figure out what you're ordering. At Governor's Tavern, if you want a gin and tonic, you simply ask for a gin and tonic. The only decision you need to make is which gin you'd like. I'm not much of a cocktail person, but I appreciate that not every place feels the need to reinvent the wheel. The place was packed at lunchtime, but we got lucky and grabbed a pair of seats across from the bar. The server who I quoted was genuinely friendly and welcoming. I ordered a Guinness, but unfortunately the keg had just kicked. She recommended the Samuel Smith chocolate stout instead and even brought me a sample before I committed to taste since I never heard of it, which was a nice touch. For food, we ordered the State Grill burger and the Nashville Hot chicken sandwich. Both were excellent, and each came with Belgian-style hand-cut fries. If you're spending the day browsing the boutiques and antique shops along Warren Street and want a drink, a good meal, and a lively mix of locals and tourists, Governor's Tavern is worth a stop.

Shared an OG Chicken Sandwich $13. It was buttermilk fried chicken with tomato and lettuce on a roll. Sandwich was pretty tasty. Service was just average. Otherwise, I would've given it four stars. Only a few people appear to have ordered food here. Basically, the place appears to be a watering hole. Only app.metered parking in the area.

From the moment we met Jocelyn and Jared and tasted their food, we knew they were the right caterers for us. From the freshly baked sourdough Roman-style pizza and the seafood paella to the fried chicken, brisket, and everything in between, these two know how to prepare amazing food for large groups of people, serve it fresh and hot, and make your wedding feel like their only priority. Let's start with the wedding itself. Their range of menu options and bar service is so vast that you will surely find what you're looking for. And if you don't, they are more than willing to adapt to your desires. We worked together to create the best menu for our big day and it came together perfectly. The photos you see online are real. The food is not only delicious but served beautifully. And they work with the Owls Hoot Barn (among other venues in the area) all the time so have everything perfectly coordinated with the venue. We also hosted our Friday night welcome party and Sunday family brunch at their pub, and it was the perfect location, set five minutes from where our guests were staying. They were so hospitable and accommodating and went the extra mile to prepare the venue for our guests and make it the most beautiful, special spot for these moments. Not to mention the food, which was amazing. Their fee includes everything, so there are absolutely no surprises. Their staff is wonderful. They do it all, from food to the bar, from small gatherings to large affairs. We feel like family and look forward to eating at their pub for many years to come. Thank you Jocelyn and Jared, for making our wedding weekend so special.

In order to keep social distance, customers need to order via scanning a QR code on each table to access the menu. There wasn't a great variety of options but enough as a bar. We had their Brisket Nacho, Smoked Drum and a side of salad. We love the brisket, which was cooked tender and flavorful. However the drum was kind of dry and hard to chew. Overall, the ambiance was great and the food was decent. It's a cozy and relaxing dining experience.
