    Cider mud mash
    Kate K.

Found this place after having nothing much to do in the Lee, Mass area in winter. I'm not an avid skiier so yeah, I drink. This place was really eclectic with the decor and the beer tap selection was great too--about 8 different kinds. I tried the hard cider and it was very cloudy, bartender informed it was bottom of the barrel and definitely looked like mud...but still tasted awesome!! It was like real mashed cider from a farm and I drank it anyway. My girl had the honey mead which was a nice peachy color, slightly bubbly and just enough tart. Atmosphere was friendly and few customers at 3pm on a Saturday. Hue selection of bourbons to sip as well as some other choice libations. No Coors here!! I wasnt even charged for the two ciders, very generous! This was also the ONLY place where I could find wifi during the whole trip hahah luckily I was able to check myself in, Hollaaa !

    Great selection

I love going to Moe's! The atmosphere is local and the tap beer and whiskey selection hand picked by the owner are top notch! The staff, including the owner are friendly and easy to talk to.. My hubby and I will usually order from one of the near restaurants and enjoy a couple of drinks for an easy going, lay back day.

Craft beer. Serious drinking libations. No frightening Smirnoff & OJ here. Big props for the hand bag hooks under the bar. Excellent tunes. This certainly isn't your average local bar. A very, very impressive selection of craft beers. Eclectic group of patrons. The interior makes for comfortable consumption & required beer education. Full bar too so if your hankering for a good bourbon or sipping rum they offer that too. *Cash Only!! Cheers!

Service was great! Lots of beers from all over to choose from. Beers that I've heard of but hadn't seen on tap. Wished they had food!

The beer selection was pretty good, but I didn't like the loud country pop music and the sports bar atmosphere. Won't be back.

Great atmosphere and beer list. Stopped by for a bruins game and plenty of tv's to watch. Beer list includes craft beers from the northeast.

The bar tender, Noah, was impressive and friendly in that he knew his liquor stock very well, and could explain the flavor intricacies of the various types of bourbon, vodka, and gins. They also offer some non,-alcoholic beverages for the "designated driver" of the group too. We watched Noah make everything from regular and "dirty martinis" with fresh ingredients, as well as one drink where he used a butane lighter and some tiny cedar chips in a straining tool above the drink to give it a fresh, authentic smoky look and flavor. Noah knows his stuff!!!!! The patrons were friendly, diverse, and easy to socialize with if you chose to do so. The establishment is pet friendly for "socialized pets" with a water bowl outside the establishment and some free Milkbone treats inside. Keep in mind that this establishment is a "tasting room" with the majority of products from the New Scotland Distillery, but there are other options. Just don't expect to get a Bud Light Draft or food here. The only downside is that parking in the Lark Steet and State Street location is difficult to obtain without some effort, but we managed to park our vehicles 2 blocks away. This is not a direct criticism of the establishment because the experience is well worth this minor potential inconvenience. We would definitely go back there again, especially for the specialty drinks or the flights and half flights of their bourbon and vodka products. Thank you once again, Noah, for a pleasant and educational evening!!!

It was only about an hour or so away from our house, so this was a real treat. Even though it was a cloudy day in March, the distillery was so beautiful. We can only imagine how gorgeous it is in the summer. We ended up having a private tour since no one else had signed up for the 11am time slot - fine by us! Our tour guide, Bob, was very friendly and knowledgeable, explaining everything in great detail. After the tour, we had our tasting. The tour and tasting we chose was The Hillrock Distillery Tour & Barrel Proof Tasting with Cheese & Charcuterie Plate - worth every penny! The bourbons were all absolutely amazing and the charcuterie plates paired perfectly with them. We ended up buying our two favorite bourbons, along with a pair of glasses and a hat for my husband. We are already trying to find another occasion to visit. Who knows...maybe we'll try The Founder's Tour next time. Thank you for making my husband's birthday so special. Figo's looks like a hole-in-the-wall and the parking is abysmal. But, once inside, it is a quint, unfancy space with staff that immediately make time for you, no matter how busy they are. Don't judge the decor, which is clean but not impressive. We couldn't believe how packed it was on a Wednesday night at 7pm. They were so communicative and got us seated as fast as they could. The first thing I noticed was that, as a person with a hearing disorder, the space was full and music was playing, but we could still talk and enjoy ourselves without having to shout. The service was amazing from the moment we walked in until we left, the door was held open for us. We decided to get three appetizers for our party of 4 (arancini, fried pickles, and hot wings). The wings were delicious and in the top 3 of wings in the county (my partner is a wing snob, being from Buffalo!). The fried pickles were a little over-fried but pretty tasty nonetheless. The arancini were delicious, although a tad more sauce would have complemented them better. The wings were amazing. I always look to my partner for his response, because as a Western NY'er and he was beyond happy. We got two pizzas - one pepperoni and sausage, and one prosciutto fig goat cheese pizza. They were both so good, and the small amount we took home as leftovers held up and were delicious the next day. Also, I had a blood orange margarita and really hate overly sweet drinks. It was perfect and balanced. My partner and I have both been chefs and found that Figo's delivered on all levels. The only setback was that there is very little parking, but it works o0ut in the end. It is a sweet, small spot with a great bar, great food, and great service. Plus, it sets itself aside from the typical local joint with a more elevated menu that delivers.

They've since expanded the size of their tasting room into another huge, open space full of high tops and comfortable lounge seating along with a bar mixing up creative cocktails. The new space also has tons of pinball machines and other games. We stopped in after a movie on a Friday at about 6:30. There were a few groups hanging out but it wasn't too busy at all. It was pretty chill vibe, and I got the sense that a lot of locals frequent them, which is cool. We hung out for nearly two hours and by the time we left the only other folks there were at the bar in the front room. The beer is still good! I did want to try some of their cocktails though. They have some pretty creative cocktails made with interesting homemade syrups, shrubs, and the like. I tried the Honey Don't which was tart but well balanced. I wished it was a little spicier, but I am a spice fiend. Then I felt for something a little sweeter so I went with the Poolside gossip. All the different ingredients really combined into a unique and delicious flavor! I really enjoyed what they have going on. The space was comfortable and relaxed and there's something on their drinks menu for literally everyone, plus entertainment. They have small snacks available, but you're also welcome to bring your own food. So it's basically like a very relaxed bar. We'll definitely be stopping in more frequently!

Although his professional background was in advertising, Sigman had been an avid homebrewer since 1994. Eventually he decided to open his own brewery. Sigman chose the name "Relic" to reference his world travels. Aiming to craft artisanal ales inspired by flavors from around the world, he thought of himself as more of a chef than a brewer. Sigman doesn't brew beer based on which styles are trendy, but rather beers that he personally enjoys with tastes that he views as complimentary or exciting. I have visited Relic Brewing multiple times since I first became serious about craft beer in 2013. At that time, Relic was one of maybe 10 breweries in the state (today there are over 100). Of those original 10, only half remain in business. The taproom was very small during my initial visit: about 10 square feet and they only served small free samples. I recently stopped there with my older son because it occurred to me that I hadn't been there in at least 10 years. A lot had changed! In 2016, a full bar was added and Relic began to serve full pint pours as well as craft cocktails. A large back room addition opened in 2019, which featured a fully furnished lounge and a pinball arcade slowly evolved. When I first arrived, I ordered a taster flight which featured "Oktoberfest", "Nebraska IPA", "The Whim" (New England IPA), and "Double Whim" (Double New England IPA). I grabbed my flight and headed to the back room with my son. He was so excited to play the pinball machines and other various arcade games. The two of us had a nice father-son bonding experience playing pinball as I also enjoyed my beer samples; the "Oktoberfest" was my favorite! If you like great beer paired up with pinball, then head down to Relic Brewing!
