Done. It was an instant hit. I wanted the pastrami sandwich pictured on the website. Turns out, it was every bit as good as it looked. Probably the best I've had in the Capital Region. I think it came with coleslaw but they let me switch it for a small salad. The beer was cold. The server/ bartender was both friendly and efficient. The food came up relatively quickly. I was relieved and delighted. The tavern has just the right look. It's cute from the outside with nice signage. Inside, the lighting is dim-- especially at night--with the feel of a cool dive bar. If you want a more festive setting during the summer, there's outdoor seating complete with hanging string lights. That actually looked very inviting but my friends chose to stay indoors due to the threat of rain. As we prepared to leave, my friends were wondering why they hadn't been to the tavern before. I even went into the kitchen to see if I could figure it out. I couldn't. But the bartender and cook were both super cool and apologetic and we just ate what they brought out. They did have someone come and fix the issue too in under an hour they were back up and running. Which meant the owner cares in my opinion. Pizza was good. It's bar pie but the bottom was crispy and there was an enormous amount of cheese. The wrap was good and came with a decent house made Mac salad. In the end I'd recommend this place as a day drink and bite to eat. I imagine it may be a bit rowdy at night. But in all I would go back.
