New to the area and pleasantly surprised to find this pub. Patrick's Pub has amazing food and service. Although it was my first time there, it wasn't my boyfriend's, who is now a regular. We went on a Thursday night, which is also their trivia nights, and had a dope time. I ordered the spinach and artichoke dip. Bomb. I also had the chicken pot pie and WHOA! Don't sleep on that. It was so good. My boyfriend ordered the special, which I believe they switch out weekly. Table shared mozzarella sticks and drinks. Such a fun atmosphere. Many regulars are in and out. I wanted to order the stuffed cod. I was informed they were out. OK, I'll have the fried fish dinner that comes with fries and cole slaw. NO, they have no cole slaw but I could still order the fish and fries. So I asked what were they substituting for the cole slaw. First I was told they were not making any substitutes. Later after expressing I felt cheated, I was offered green beans for an up charge of $4.00 onto the original plate price. At this point I chose to order nothing. This was a takeout order-Forgot the condiments (which I paid extra for), my friend had to pay $6 more to put chicken on her salad b/c they changed the menu, so you have to order the protein as extra and pay extra if you want it. Unfortunately, there are still menu's online that say the salad comes with chicken. Called and emailed the restaurant and was essentially told "oh well" by staff. My other friend got his sandwich on the wrong wrap. To top it all off, they charge a 3% take out fee for all your troubles. Meh. WHY don't restaurants teach their bussers to actually clean a table? Don't just wipe off the table onto the chairs & floor!!! I don't want to come in & sit on a chair with food on it & walk on a floor with food on it. I just watched the busser do this - there's a straw on the floor under the table & a bunch of food debris. Note: This is just my humble opinion. Please ignore if you do not agree. Best part- Our server was excellent. He was VERY BUSY, but handled his tables very well. A+ Hubby's chili and cornbread were both hot and delicious. Solid B Everything else was average. My fish was beautiful and not overly greasy. The serving and presentation were good. I was not overly impressed with the menu. I think a few unique items above standard pub food would be a benefit. C The establishment has always had a nice Irish pub charm. The previous owners remodel only added to that. I think even a few minor "improvements" would increase the atmosphere exponentially. (I am personally not a fan of too much vendor advertising...but nice items are totally fine). Again, JMHO...but I would love to see that CHARM shine. I don't think some careful editing costs anything. Worst part: The place is filthy. Could the dude behind the bar (manager) stop the overt "antics" and get some someone to help him with cleaning?! I wanted to ask for some windex to clean the windows and glass partitions myself. I seriously think a little cleaning and wood oil/stain would help SIGNIFICANTLY. Again, I do not see basic cleaning as a large expense. If this new management team, friends, and family spend even a weekend or two tackling a few basics- I think this gem of a spot near Berkshire Court, Museums, Financial and Business district could become one that the locals will return to. I don't know the details or plans of the new team. As I started- this was only an opinion. We had a good late lunch/early dinner here the other night. Ian was our server and worked hard to meet our needs on what was clearly a busy afternoon. We tried the wings (garlic parm) and they were excellent! My mom had a cup of coffee and they sent it with a refill which was PERFECT!!! My mom has the steak and cheese - we orded it with American but I think it came with Provologne-which was forgiven because it was actually great-we both still prefer American but this was a great sandwich. It came with onion rings. Also very good. The biggest problem was my order, the classic burger was served on a gorgeous brioche bun, BUT, the burger itself had no seasoning to it whatsover - if they salted this even a little I would be surprised. This was a huge disservice to the entire meal! They need to fix this post haste, and other wise great experience becomes tarnished by sending out a bland burger. I am going to assume this an oversight by someone in the kitchen, and while I should give them 4/5 I think I can overlook this and give them a bump for the ambiance of the place and the fact that it seems like a key part of Pittsfield...but man I hope they fix that as I will be checking the reviews before I come back...or maybe next time I will have the sandwich. read more

Devoid of Ambiance, (the outdoor patio is just... welll... blah... umbrellas are free from your beer company)...no management, lousy cocktails (they beer will get there with your entrees)...frozen food... our salad was from 1978 in content and age... the Italian dressing from a jug...really really dirty wet floor sign that was my dinner companion ... the list goes on and on. Wow what a find. Was out in my awesome van doing some "vanlife" stuff when Patrick's pub came to mind. Turned my awesome van around and headed to Pittsfield. Found easy parking today wich was a big bonus for this crazy country boy. Grabbed my black hat and dipped it below one eye and walked through the door like I was walking onto a yacht. Headed towards the bar and the staff watched me gavotte. Found a seat at the bar. There were quite a few pretty ladies sitting at the bar some with their partner. I had the food here several months ago and it made such a pretty pair with the cold beer. But I give away the thing I love, and one of them was the chicken chunks as there was so much of them. Even if you flew your lear jet upto Nova scotia, towards the rising sun, you would not find chicken this good. I swear it taste better than clouds in your coffee... Yes, clouds in your coffee. So don't be vain, come and try some of this delicious food! You will feel like your horse won at Saratoga with the first bit! Trust me my entourage....come! Come fast and enjoy! read more

It was a Friday.... the skies were grey and overcast... the rain poured down from above. There was a bright light on the horizon.... a hot fresh lunch from Patrick's Pub!! Taking into consideration safety and CoVid restrictions they are most definitely currently open but only doing take out, curbside pickup and delivery!! Supporting a favorite local restaurant is always a good thing to do!! So we ordered chicken supreme nachos and chicken chunks for appetizers. The chicken nachos were absolutely perfect covered with chunks of seasoned chicken, cheese, tomatoes, olives, and onions. We added extra nacho cheese sauce, sour cream, and salsa for delicious additional dipping sauces! The chicken chunks were humongous and amazing crispy hunks of moist delicious juicy chicken!! We also ordered the Dirty Bird Turkey Burger with seasoned fries and the Bacon Cheeseburger with seasoned curly fries... everything was truly delicious and amazing! It turned our frowns around and we had an outstanding lunch and had leftovers as well!!! read more

Unfortunately, the service wasn't the best. She was pleasant when she was there. But, getting her there? That was the difficult part. I'd go again. Just next time. Definitely going to sit at the bar. Haven't been here since Patrick's changed hands. I wasn't all that impressed. We had what seemed to be a rookie waitress, and it took awhile to get our appetizers and drinks. Our food also took longer than it should have. I ordered the fish and chips and the fish was way overcooked. I was going to mention it when the waitress asked how things were, except she kept walking and didn't wait for an answer. My wife had the eggplant parmigiana which looked really good and the portion was huge and the Buffalo style Mac and cheese was tasty. It was a disappointing experience for the price. read more

On a Monday evening the place was vibrant and lively. The staff was professional and pleasant. The food was good, filling, and priced below what I would be willing to pay. We made a reservation for a large group (14) that needed separate checks ... on a Friday night. Not only did they accept our reservation, but the waitstaff were ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! They managed to control our unruly crowd enough to get drink order, appetizers, mains and desserts all in and delivered perfectly. And, the food was very, very good. My wife and I arrived at 6:00 PM for a 7:30 show at The Colony Theater. To be safe we just ordered 2 appetizers and a salad. My wife had the cob salad and I ordered WELL DONE crispy chicken wings and "Cauliflower florets fried in tempura batter and served with an Asian style dipping sauce." When the food arrived at about 6:45, the wings were undercooked and the cauliflower heavily breaded (not tempura, which should be prepared with whipped egg whites and cold water to be light) accompanied with something resembling French dressing on the side (not a light "Asian dipping sauce"). With no time to have the wings redone I refused them, and just settled on the cauliflower. But the breading was so heavy I pulled it off, and ate the insides while sharing my wife's salad. When we called the manager over before accepting the check, and showed her all the breading I had pulled off on my plate, she argued with me saying that's how they always prepared that dish... no explanation for the French dressing. read more

Excellent food, wonderful friendly service, a great selection of gluten free options-clearly marked on the menu. Reasonable prices and a nice atmosphere- a bit loud, but that is the only negative I could say. Such a great find while we are traveling in the Berkshires. Three stars instead of five due to quality control. When the food here is on point it's some of the best in the Berkshires. The wait staff have always been friendly and hard working when I've gone. The problem is, probably 1 out of 3 times I go the food is either not cooked to request, or seems to have been sitting out (as an example, the last time I ordered wings "extra crispy" they were soggy upon arrival, and the fires were luke warm at best.). We had to wait a while for them as it was a busy night and we had already had to wait quite a while for the food so I wasn't about to send it back. read more

Today was the second time in two weeks that I ordered from Patrick's for lunch. The first time I ordered french onion soup and fried mozzarella. Both arrived (after about a 40 minute wait), very cold. Today I ordered a reuben sandwich with cole slaw. The corned beef was so over-cooked that it was actually hard. I could not even chew through it and had to throw it away. The cole slaw was the best part of my lunch. Needless to say, I will not be ordering from here again. read more

I struggled to decide whether to give Patrick's one star or five. Here's why... Five stars in the sense that the best thing to happen to Patrick's Pub is that they just sold it. If no stars was an option, that's what I would have rated it under the previous owners. For years, I loved Patrick's Pub, but as time went on, the staff and quality of what was being sent out to patrons declined drastically. The wings USED to be some of the best, same with their wraps. So from great food to undercooked chicken in a wrap that just falls apart... I'll pass on that. I've been witness to the previous owner berating his employees for the most absurd reasons. I feel so bad for anyone who suffered his abuse, I just hope it never got physical. You know how to tell someone shouldn't run a restaurant? When you can hear them screaming at their employees through the walls of the restaurant. Furthermore, when your wife has to yell at you to start treating the employees right because you can't afford to KEEP LOSING them! I could rant all day about how rude the previous owner was, but for now let's direct the focus to the front of house. Let me begin this section by stating that several of my friends and myself have not visited Patrick's recently, due to us not wanting to support such an awful business owner. That being said, the FOH is, for the most part, outstanding. I'd say about 95% of the time patrons are greeted with smiles and consideration. However, when you're the FOH manager and you go from greeting guests with a fake smile and immediately turn around and badger your waitstaff (especially in front of customers) you become the obvious issue. For anyone who has visited Patrick's, you most likely have noticed the table that sits close to the bar and the kitchen doors. The table that is constantly occupied by said manager and occasionally staff while they all sit on their cellphones. I could go on all day about how awful the previous owner is, but instead I'll just say this... THANK GOD new owners are on their way in. Hopefully they realize who needs to go (FOH manager cough cough) and can turn the food situation around. I can't imagine they could be any worse . read more
