Good food and the service was excellent. The Irish fries we well worth the try. Clean environment and fast service.

We visited O'Laughlin's for the first time since the covid situation began. It was on a Saturday night in August. They have introduced outdoor dining at picnic tables in the garden in the back. They seemed to have substantially the same menu as before. Service was exceptionally quick even though there were at least 6 other tables having dinner. There were also some people in a separate area under a tent that seemed to be have drinks and snacks. There was even an entertainer, a guitarist/singer and he was stationed on a balcony of an adjoining building. It was the most entertainment we have had in months. The food was very good. I had the prime rib Friday special as a Saturday sandwich, and it was delicious. My wife had a BLT and it was very good with fresh tomato and lots of bacon. Son had a chicken Ceasar wrap which he finished with a smile.

Minus a star due to poor costumer service. Maybe it was a rough night. The food was extremely good and well cooked. Highly recommend.

We got seated right away, but it was busy for the time (mid afternoon). Our server was very friendly and the food came out quickly. The French onion soup hit the spot and was some of the best I've ever had. Rich beef broth, tender onions, nice and hot, and of course perfectly melted cheese. We shared a patty melt with onion rings. The patty melt was overdone - we ordered medium but it was beyond well done. Still flavorful but would have preferred it as ordered. They had a large patio which must be nice in the summer. A lot of the photos showed it being in a shopping mall, but those must be old, because it is a standalone restaurant. We will definitely go back when in the area, especially when we want French onion soup!

Not to mention my Guinness took 15+ minutes because she was busy bullying the older server. My food was quick but mediocre. I got the New Yorker and it seemed like they were trying to negate the fact that it's bottom of the barrel meat by throwing about a pound on it. Overall a horrible experience. Was expecting a hole in the wall Irish pub. Ended up spending $50+ on a sandwich and two beers. All the while the bartender was fighting with the staff in front of everyone.

Shelly is behind the griddle and cooks up a storm. Tourists, keep in mind that this is not fancy with music and artwork for sale on the wall. This is a real diner with counter stools and booths. I had the Greek Eggs for breakfast, which is a delicious combination of Greek spices, potatoes, sausage and other yummy treats. Toast comes with it (sadly not gluten-free), but you need to order and home fries, etc. I like that. You pay for what you want, not some inflated plate of extras. Note: you won't see the Greek Eggs on the printed menu. Ask for the specials. Greek Eggs are always there. My wife loved the raisin French toast. She said that it did not need syrup. I am told to try the Goulash for lunch by several people. It sounds great. If you are looking for a fancy or romantic meal, look elsewhere. Want a fancy vibe to impress, look elsewhere. This may be the smallest diner we've visited (one of them, at least) but it makes up for that in quality and attention to the customers. A few booths and a few tables on the right, a half dozen stools at the counter, and the magic shop along the left wall. There's a bit of counter / bench, a sink, a prep area, a cooktop, and a grill. It's clean, efficient, and full of friendly people (staff and locals). The breakfast menu is simple: eggs, pancakes, French toast, omelettes, and the usual sides. We got 2 eggs over easy, one with bacon, one with sausage, home fries, and toast. The eggs were cooked perfectly (they look more done in the photo but were nicely runny) and the bacon was crisp and smoky. I didn't get to try my be wife's sausage, but (a) that itself says something and (b) she said it was really good, not the "supermarket" grade that some places serve. Coffee was good, staff were all super friendly - I would definitely go there again.
