    French onion soup
    Paul Francis M.

Waiting for Town Fair to diddl daddl with my car. Walked around the dead mall and decided to sit down for a bite to eat. Place is always been here since I could remember so have to assume this is a good spot. I am definitely stuffed to say the least. The French onion soup is very hearty. Or more broth than filling but I did enjoy the onions that were a little bit thicker and larger. I did order the keg burger, ordered it rare which was a first for me, typically I order medium rare but last time I bought a burger from a restaurant medium rare it came out more medium sell figured I'd try rare this time. Came out rare but still cooked well sitting on my plate so I didn't get that overflowing juice that I was first expecting. The bread was toasted, very crummy, made it eating it more difficult than probably should have been. Also had myself the brownie with mint chocolate chip ice cream and whip cream, warm brownie plus that chocolate chip ice cream hit the spot. I asked you could've been served just ice cream and been just as happy. I enjoyed my time here, they had some other menu options that definitely could've gone with had it not been lunchtime. Was there early enough to not know what the special was but I'm sure it was good.

    Totchos

Friendly hostess and excellent waitstaff. Cute Irish vibe but not overkill. The food was excellent. We got the totchos and the corned beef was perfect, the tots were so crispy, every single tot! The 1000 island was the best I've had. I normally don't even like it but this was so delicious we asked for more! Husband got Rueben and it was his fav Rueben. I got patty melt w onion rings. Patty was juicy and onions were carmalized just right w a rich flavor. The cheese was perfectly melted and the toast was buttery and crisp. Even the pickle was good. My only minor complaint is the onion rings were not salted at all. But they were perfectly breaded and perfectly cooked. The onion stayed when you bit into it and wasn't a messy bite. We were happy with our quick pick on our way back home to Ct. the menu had done awesome dinner options too.

Back for some Saint Patty's Day weekend entertainment and great food. Live entertainment with the Ruffians from NYC. Corned beef Reuben and Irish potato jackets topped with corned beef. Service is fantastic.

Nice, clean place, with good food, but the atmosphere is seasoned. Not a place for young adults.

My cheeseburger arrived in a matter of minutes from the kitchen delivered by the cook; It was cooked perfectly just as I had ordered and could not have been cooked any better. The burger cheese combo was juicy and flavorful on its own but with the addition of a slice of ripened tomato and onion this burger was well on its way to the cheeseburger Hall of Fame. The coleslaw was not an after thought but was nicely done too with a hearty zesty spicy tang. Good job Brennan's that was a dang good burger!

Yes, it was a buttock-cringing moment as I walked into the place....... ..... and then...... I noticed the very easy-on-the-eyes brunette bartender.... she was a dead-ringer for Lara Flynn Boyle, but much hotter. The crowd was a pleasant, Cheers-esque group of regulars that laughed and drank the day away. It could have been a pub in any-city USA. The great part? Among the beers on tap were the only 2 types I drink: guiness and weiss beers.... LOTS of them. AND..... the bartender was actually nice. She was totally cool. None of the yes-I-know-I-am-hot attitude you find in big-city bitches. The food was awesome too. I had a buffalo-wing salad, while my gimpy pal-recovering-from-gout had a reuben sandwhich. We were surprised to discover that the place does not serve any processed foods, and everything, despite the pub-grub stigma, was pretty damn good quality food. 2 beers, 2 large entrees set us back about $17-ish, which I thought was a miscalculation because I pretty much pay double that in the city..... and did I mention the cute bartender with no attitude? Maybe not a diamond, but perhaps a sapphire or ruby in the rough. And yes, I'll be back.

After the big St. Patrick's Day Race, we stopped in after Yelp suggested this was both on our way home AND a better bet than the food trucks. We were surprised that parking was a breeze, with multiple entrances. The seating os designed to fit couples or larger groups comfortably, and you can tell the local love to sit around the long bar and chat. We loved our booth! The staff was quick, knew a lot about the different food options, and cocktail selection and beer selection was great. We chose a different cocktail from the list, and shared a bunch of appetizers. The sprouts were good, and the wings were tasty. I think the only thing that got a "nah" was the crab cake. I definitely have it on my list to go back for a meal, noting several dinner specials that met my creative palette.

Upon arrival, we were greeted and seated in the bar area, which features a long bar and high-top tables. They have a solid selection of beer and alcohol. We started with the chili, topped with cheese and served with chips for dipping--it was delicious. My wife ordered the turkey club, while I opted for the tomato bisque with a grilled cheese sandwich. She enjoyed her club, and I loved my grilled cheese; it was very cheesy and made with Texas toast. However, I found the bisque a bit too thick for my taste. The servers were friendly, and we'll definitely return. I learned that they have separate lunch and dinner menus--unfortunately, I didn't realize I was looking at the dinner menu when I saw the steak, which isn't available during lunch.
