Always a great food, service and atmosphere experience at Route 20! We love sharing the large variety of delicious appetizers; the firecracker shrimp, Buffalo cauliflower and caprese flatbread are a few faves. Great salads, paninis, salmon and chx parm to name a few other favorites. Fun entertainment! Highly recommend this place. read more

I kept hearing about this place, everyone made it sound like the spot. So we went for a cute little girl dinner. I found a drink I liked. But when it came to food... I was stuck. The menu had a ton of sandwich options, but I wasn't in a sandwich mood. The dinner options were ok but nothing was tickling my fancy, so I settled on the appetizer trio for $17. One friend got a burger, the other got a wrap. We all ate, but none of us were blown away. Our waitress was really nice! So yeah, we enjoyed the moment more than the meal. Would I go back? Maybe. But I won't be rushing or raving about it. read more

Route 20 Bar & Grille - Beets, firecracker shrimp, bruschetta - Pubs Near Me - Wilbraham, Massachusetts

I will have to retract my previous glorious Google review of Route 20 Bar & Grille. Having previous good experiences there in the past I took my son there (who was visiting from Brooklyn,NY). What a HUGE disappointment..... We visited on a Prime Rib Tuesday. There was no Prime Rib available....ok Sooooo. we opted for the scallops...not available So a steak was ordered....wow...it was not cooked to order and covered up with some sloppy gravy... Anyway...the Celtics were playing on the evening we were there We asked 3 different workers to put the game on the numerous tv's.....we were told they were on it.....we asked a few times... NO Celtics....despite two Hockey,One baseball and one PBS type show on the big screen T.V.'s Not sure what has happened since I enjoyed this place (at least 6 times that I recall) Probably will not be going back any time soonl read more

Awful! Both the service and the food. We arrived at about 5:00 on a Sunday afternoon. There were a few people around but it wasn't busy. Our waitress took our order fairly quickly but it took over 45 minutes to get our food. People that came in behind us were served before us. Some even finished and left before we were served Had the fried chicken that was dry and rubbery. The asparagus tasted like it was days old. The ends were yellow and stringy. It was inedible. Once our food arrived our waitress came over several times asking if we needed anything. She asked so many times we felt like we were being asked to leave. Neither of us felt well for the rest of our evening. Our date night was ruined. Won't go back read more

I ordered the Cod Francaise which came with Risotto and Asparagus. The risotto was tasteless and very mushy. There were three very thin asparagus. The cod was just ok. Not a francaise recipe that stands out. The one I make at home is much better! It was $23. My friend ordered Mac & Cheese and she said it was good. The server was fine and the atmosphere was good. Haven't decided if I would go back. read more

the food was not good. The pastrami Ruben barely had any pastrami, fries were not fresh, the mac n cheese was like soup. Our server Nicole was fabulous, she really did try to accommodate us. They only have a few low tables, all the rest are high, not a fan. read more

Okay, I would give this Resturant about a 3.9. This is my first time at this restaurant and it was nice nice ambience very cozy inside live music. Also, they had a special for Thursday for the appetisers which was really nice. However, we ordered the chicken wings. They were really big. They were like dinosaur wings. I guess they're not fried wings they're baked. They had a okay taste but they were just too large. We did order fries but they never came. My salad was really good and we had the mozzarella fried mozzarella appetiser which was pretty good, but it was a little greasy. The fried pickles were we're great according to my nephew. read more

I was in the plaza for other business and decided to stop in for lunch. Place was empty as they just opened so had the bar to myself. No more than 30-45 minutes later the bar was full and looked as if filled with regulars. Margret and her trainee did a fantastic job behind the bar. We had some fun as I didn't know what I wanted to eat so we coin flipped it. Chicken parm won as well as the cheesecake. The food was delicious. Pasta tasted home made and the chicken had that perfect crisp bite to it. Cheesecake melted in my mouth. I popped in once before and remembered I wasn't overly crazy about the place but happy I stopped in today because my opinion certainly changed for the better. read more

I went there for the Tuesday prime rib special , I've had it a half dozen times , a few times it seamed a little thin , but that's history . I went there last Tuesday with two other guys and we all got the prime rib , every one was great , two medium rare and one end cut , plenty thick and perfect, came with potato and baby carrots , all three of us change to Brussel sprouts , cauliflower , and I got the asparagus, there was a $1 up charge to change veggie. Everything was great , if I have to dig deep to find a complaint , my asparagus was only the top few inches , where's the rest ? Service was great , place was packed , never had to wait for a refill . read more

Cons- No disabled parking. One spot? And it had a construction vehicle parked in the spot... Pricing changed from website menu and were higher. Maybe update your website? Beer prices are excessive versus average....$11 drafts? It's a bar, I get it, food is ok. Wedge salad was similar to menu description but with the absolute minimum ingredients. An avocado sliver, bacon crumbles were non existent and the chicken was cut into small cubes to hide the actual portion size. I wouldn't order again. The flatbread pizza was weak, forgetting the balsamic drizzle and it was undercooked. I wouldn't go out of the way to eat here. Mostly locals playing Keno. We had someone recommend to try this place, I would say hard pass. read more

Always friendly. Food is fabulous anytime and anything I've had from here. Most know a good margarita is a big deal to me.. they are on point ! It's not too loud in there and I can see the menu without using my phone li read more

Just walked out as I could not get served! Patiently waited for over twenty minutes after receiving the menu and receiving a bottled beer. I finished my beer and still nothing. I had Drove over 30 minutes to eat at this location and I am someone who eats out pretty much every night and I was looking forward to this evening. I asked another waitress how much the beer was and left the money and left! When leaving the hostess ask how everything was? And i said I'm leaving hungry as I couldn't get waited on. I was to order an appetizer and an entree, but I wasn't afforded the opportunity, but now i'm eating down the street writing this review.... read more

First time there and we loved it. Got the Crab Dip for an appetizer and the Cape Cod Ruben for my meal. The dip was delicious and creamy and the crostinis were perfect. The Ruben had the largest serving of fried fish I've ever seen on a sandwich. My girlfriend got the Chicken Franchise on risotto. The Risotto was cooked perfectly and the chicken had a great crispy breading. Our server, Allie, recommended the buffalo aioli for my onion straws and it was exactly what they needed. Everything came out quick and very hot. Allie was there at the perfect time every time. The live music was great and so we're the cocktails. We will be back soon for the prime rib. I trust they will make it right. read more

Went for lunch today .. had our drinks and ordered lunch .. a panini and soup and half sandwich... pretty simple . The coustomers to our left ordered about 10 minutes after us ... one of them got his chicken sandwich.. the girl received nothing .. then they gave her the soup but no 1/2 sandwich.. then they sent out a grilled cheese that wasn't grilled (cold) she complained and they said oh that's grilled .. Then 2 people that walked in 5 minutes (we were there at least an hour) got her soup ... yes still nothing for us !!! I now was pretty upset ! The people who got good service stayed arguing with me .. I asked for my check just wanted out !!! They compt my check .. left 20 for my drinks anyway ... but truly disappointed read more

I was told to come in from a friend, food was not as good as I was told it would be. Our sever was amazing but the manager was rude. I also heard her yelling at her workers which is none of my business but the costumers should not be hearing there private conversations. Not the best place to go! read more

We have been going to Route 20 Bar & Grill for sometime now. Great food and great atmosphere as well. But it's the staff that truly make it a perfect experience. One waitress in particular is Allie. Every time we go, we ask for Allie's station. She really cares about her customer's and giving them an experience. She is just an all around great waitress and friendly person. read more

Worst Shrimp Scampi I ever had. There was no garlic, only a few capers, previously frozen shrimp and bland "sauce". My husband wasn't impressed with the pork chops he ordered. The waitress never came back to check on us. Won't be going back. read more

She had their famous meatloaf. THE SIZE OF A MEATBALL. Cold tastless Asperagus. I had The meatbomb wrap yuk. The size of a luncheon wrap laced with A1 sauce. The onion rings were cold. The bartenders were excellent. I cant believe how people would eat here. This is the second chance. The first chance was their famous fried chicken that was dried out. I should have taken a pic of the "meatloaf" what an embarrassment this is to serve. I mentioned this to the staff and she was served another cold bland dish of Asperagus. Hmmm. read more

After the waitress finally came out on the deck, she took our drink order came back after took our appetizer order then we never saw her for about 40 minutes until our appetizers came out. We had to stop her while she was at another table to have her take our order for dinner. I asked her four different times to refill my water glass and she was nowhere to be found. I went to use the restroom and there was only about three tables that had customers and the bar had one customer so the restaurant was not busy at 6 PM on a Thursday night. Our meal finally came The side of coleslaw that I had was swimming in liquid. My Rueben sandwich had coleslaw on it and they never strained the coleslaw the sandwich by time I reached the second half of the sandwich. I had to cut it with a fork and knife because it was so soggy not once during the whole meal did the waitress ever come and check and see how our meal was but as soon as it was time for the bill, she had the bill and came right back out so she could get her tip terrible service. The food was not that good. I see why there was no crowd at the prime dinner hour on a Thursday night. read more

Great little roadside stop...good food, well priced and super nice service! Lots of local folks were there too, so you know it's good!

We live quite near Route 20 Grill and find ourselves there often. If you're lucky try and have Nick take care of you , you'll have a fantastic experience. He just gets it and goes out of his way to get you what you want! The Cod Francaise is one of my favorites, hubby likes the chicken tortilla soup and loves when they have cheeseburger chowder on the menu. They were out of the lobster special by the time we got there on Wednesday so had the steamers. Perfectly cooked and no grit! Not fancy, just really good food, service and specials! read more

Nice Cuban, with great sweet potato fries. This time I had a grilled chicken sandwich, very thin slice of grilled chicken, but it was dry. But again great sweet potato fries. Nice live music. Always in Ludlow and never knew about This restaurant that's less than ten minutes away and will probably be my new go to spot. Cocktails were good and food was delicious. For an app we had the warm goat cheese and my gosh worth every penny! I had a burger and my boyfriend had the shrimp dinner and both were so so good! Was once my go to place. First time I ordered the stir fry with chicken and it was awesome. Everything was fresh and done to perfection. I liked it so much that I ordered it again the next time I went, and what a disappointment! Vegetables were mushy and tasted day old, and the chicken was over cooked and tough to chew. It was as if the plate was from the day before and forgotten in the microwave. Service was awesome as always. Ambiance left a little to be desired because of the drunk woman in the corner with no filters. I'll go back again, but ask about the freshness of the meal. read more
