We stopped in on or way to Vermont and was glad to be able to get in. We were really hungry and they fit the bill. The food was good and the service was excellent. My steak was cooked perfectly. I also enjoyed the clam chowder.

Tavern is our go to spot in Westfield for quality food and service. I usually opt for the onion soup but chose the prime rib sandwich instead. In retrospect, I should have stayed with the onion soup. Although flavorful, the prime rib was not cut in slices but very small portions making me feel like it was leftover from the roast. Served with au jus and fantastic fries but again, not really prime rib. I don't have a pix due to faulty iPhone camera but next time. Ambiance is very clean and up to date with spectacular high ceilings dating back to the days when it was the Westfield Post Office. Prices are very fair. If you haven't been give it a try. Staff is amazing.

So called nachos with like 3 specs of cheese

So this is my second time here, definitely gonna be my last... the first experience was mid at very best, the service both times was good... this time around though is unacceptable... I ordered the nachos with chili, the chili was ok, but the pico de gallo was an abomination, the lack of any sort of lime or salt was bad enough, then mix in some Italian spices and herbs and that's their pico, and the main thing people look for when getting nachos is cheese, these had like 5 crumbs of cheese, it made my brain hurt, like, put on some cheese and that would make the awful pico and mid chili better... the atmosphere is great, what a great building, it's to bad it's wasted on this place

Food quality / price (value) rating 8. The atmosphere is tavern style in a re-purposed beautiful old U.S. Post Office.. The memu is a pretty typical pub / tavern menu with no real surprises. I had the grilled pork chops with scalloped potatoes. Two very nice sized pork chops served with a salad, apple sauce and freshly baked rolls. The food was presented nicely, but I thought it lacked flavor. The pork chops could have used some spices, a crust of some type (blue cheese or even bread crumb), or a marinade, and the potatoes could have used some cheese or other flavor enhancer. They have a decent number of draught beers. The bar is centrally located in the dining area, which is designed very nicely. This place is probably a great weekend hangout.

I had the baked stuffed scrod, beef barley soup, crab cakes and penne. The fish was moist and the stuffing was very tasty. The soup was loaded with beef. The crab cakes came 3 to an order. I could only eat 1 and took the rest home. Large portions of everything!!

I had probably driven by this building a million times when I lived in Southampton. I don't think it registered with me too much. Looked like a bar more then a restaurant. Well, It's actually a very nice restaurant with a bar. Nice atmosphere. Not loud. Very good food. Awesome Tapioca!!!!! Burger was very good! The spaghetti and meatballs were were good(good but not earth-shaking great). Nice salad came with it(nice size too). Fair price. Recommend.

Raw steak after sending it back to the kitchen... Could not get the temperature right? .. How hard is well done???

Nice hometown pub. Some of the entrees could use some work. A bit uninspired. The wings are great though.

Good "old school" restaurant and bar. A true gem in Downtown Westfield, MA. Friendly staff and great service.

A little bit of this and a little bit of that, but something for everyone. While I miss the "scoop…read moreand salad" with an Otis Spunkmeyer chocolate chip cookie from Leos, there are many plusses for the breakfast and chicken sandwiches. I have had one of the cranberry salads to go which is fairly normal for what it is. I went back a second time to sit down and have one of the chicken sandwiches, which is a beautiful piece of chicken in a delicious roll, and lots of good drink options. I am the kind of person who likes to go out for dinner and pecks through the day, so sandwiches aren't always my go to food for breakfast/lunch because they are a bit heavy for a midday meal for me. Other people I know who swear by these sandwiches will choose to go to Ray Ray's every time over one of the fast food options for certain. If you aren't in the mood for a bagel at the new bagel place, this is an option that you might want to keep in your back pocket. When I went there, it must've been a school break because I believe they were children that were helping, and it had a really warm family vibe with friendly service.

We opted for a spicy chicken sandwich and a cranberry walnut salad. The sandwich was robust and the sweet potato fries came with a house-made peach honey mustard that was over the top. The salad was giant and packed with so many walnuts and cranberries that I couldn't finish it all. Roasted Brussels sprout leaves sprinkled on top added the perfect umami twist. Easy off and on from the MassPike. Bonus: live music (good!) on Saturday afternoons.

Maybe a little salty, but honestly so am I when I think about all the overcooked shrimp I've paid for. These scrimps were perfectly cooked. Like. PERFECTLY cooked. Snappy. Scrumptious. I threw in the mac and cheese as a test, since it's usually where restaurants get lazy. But when my eyes met the cavatappi... good night. Creamy, rich, ooey gooey, with noodles standing strong against the reputation of bland mush. Cheese clung to every curve like a last desperate embrace. Not an ounce of mush. Casting the right noodle for the role is too often an overlooked detail. And oh the crunch on that chicken! Juicy, crispy, seasoned with ruthless precision. That's the kind of chicken that brings you right back. It's ready to recruit you. No wonder it's the mascot. Sign me up. I got a little ginger lime situation from the fridge. A brand called Something & Nothing. How tantalized am I by an undiscovered thing? Very. From the nod to nihilism to the contents of delight, I'm here for it. I definitely appreciate the rare beverage finds amidst the usual suspects. And the space itself? Greenery softening the edges, decor that disarms you, hospitality that feels too warm to be accidental. It's all part of the design. I am Jack's complete lack of disappointment. They're doing it. And I will be talking about it.

After the big St. Patrick's Day Race, we stopped in after Yelp suggested this was both on our way home AND a better bet than the food trucks. We were surprised that parking was a breeze, with multiple entrances. The seating os designed to fit couples or larger groups comfortably, and you can tell the local love to sit around the long bar and chat. We loved our booth! The staff was quick, knew a lot about the different food options, and cocktail selection and beer selection was great. We chose a different cocktail from the list, and shared a bunch of appetizers. The sprouts were good, and the wings were tasty. I think the only thing that got a "nah" was the crab cake. I definitely have it on my list to go back for a meal, noting several dinner specials that met my creative palette.

Upon arrival, we were greeted and seated in the bar area, which features a long bar and high-top tables. They have a solid selection of beer and alcohol. We started with the chili, topped with cheese and served with chips for dipping--it was delicious. My wife ordered the turkey club, while I opted for the tomato bisque with a grilled cheese sandwich. She enjoyed her club, and I loved my grilled cheese; it was very cheesy and made with Texas toast. However, I found the bisque a bit too thick for my taste. The servers were friendly, and we'll definitely return. I learned that they have separate lunch and dinner menus--unfortunately, I didn't realize I was looking at the dinner menu when I saw the steak, which isn't available during lunch.

My usual go-to is a burger w fries, and TRTAH does a great job w them, but opted today for a steak sandwich w carmelized onions, green peppers, and cheese on Italian bread (you can also get it w pizza dough, calzone style). BB had a pastrami on rye. Both came w French fries. My hero (grinder to you locals) was mouthwatering. The bread was lightly toasted and perfect. Everything else was melded together. My taste buds did a happy dance! BB said the pastrami was very lean. French fries are hand cut, and salted perfectly. One suggestion...if you have high blood pressure, get them unsalted from the kitchen, and salt (or not) to your heart's content. I think I have a new go-to. 5 yummmmmy stars

Service was okay, but we found ourselves waiting a while (last customers on deck) and had to go inside to pay when we wanted to leave.
