Great family run spot in Westfield. Delicious food. Especially like the Hot Chicken Sandwich. This will be our go to lunch spot!

My usual go-to is a burger w fries, and TRTAH does a great job w them, but opted today for a steak sandwich w carmelized onions, green peppers, and cheese on Italian bread (you can also get it w pizza dough, calzone style). BB had a pastrami on rye. Both came w French fries. My hero (grinder to you locals) was mouthwatering. The bread was lightly toasted and perfect. Everything else was melded together. My taste buds did a happy dance! BB said the pastrami was very lean. French fries are hand cut, and salted perfectly. One suggestion...if you have high blood pressure, get them unsalted from the kitchen, and salt (or not) to your heart's content. I think I have a new go-to. 5 yummmmmy stars

The rodeo burger has bbq sauce, French fried onions and bacon topped with cheddar cheese. The fries were my least favorite. A little soggy and over cooked. The hot garlic wings were good. The wings were decent size, not those skimpy small wings. The spicy margarita was okay. It tasted a little watery. Service was okay, but we found ourselves waiting a while (last customers on deck) and had to go inside to pay when we wanted to leave.

Beginning in 2002, Pac and Osella began getting together on weekends to homebrew and create food pairings. Pac brewed the beer while Osella (a chef) crafted the food pairings. In 2014, the duo launched 'Skyline Hop Shop' as an alternating proprietorship operation inside Westfield River Brewing Company at 707 College Highway. Osella offered fresh food that paired well with WRB's brews while Pac offered home brewing classes and supplies. They quickly outgrew the space and reopened as 'Skyline Trading Company' at 124 Elm Street in 2016. At this location, Pac and Osello expanded their menu both of food and beer, adding craft whiskey and tequila to the mix. After outgrowing their space again, the partners moved to 98 Southwick Road and reopened as 'Skyline Beer Company' in December 2019. Head brewer Dana Bishop came on board as additional partner, and Coy Chaney was hired as the Assistant Brew Master. The current 4,500-square-foot restaurant and taproom offers 24 rotating draught lines, cocktails, a full food menu, and beautiful views of the rolling hills of Western Mass. I recently visited Skyline Beer Company while I was cycling on the nearby Columbia Greenway Rail Trail. Skyline was on my list of breweries to try for a while, so I decided to stop by for some beers and bites. The taproom and restaurant was spacious and inviting with plenty of seating both inside and outside. I opted to sit outside and began to look over their extensive beer and food menu. I ordered a sampler flight that included "Forget Me Not" (New England Pale Ale), "Up In Smoke" (New England IPA), "Listening Juice" (Double IPA), and "Mother Ocean" (New England IPA). For food, I ordered a plate of delicious "Pretzel Bites & Cheesy Sauce". I really enjoyed all of the beers that I tried, but "Up In Smoke" (with delicious notes of grapefruit and marshmallow) was easily my favorite! I ended up ordering a full pour of it before leaving. The pretzel bites were equally delicious and paired well with my beers. I had an exceptional experience at Skyline and I look forward to returning in the future!

"Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea And frolicked in…read morethe autumn mist in a land called Honalee" (Peter, Paul and Mary) Some of our disappointment with Autumn Mist was based on our false assumption that they had a sit-down restaurant on their premises. Why did we assume that? Well, their big on-line menu coupled with its reference to "restaurant" on their website sure had something to do with it. Here's a quote from their website: "Our Farm-to-Table Restaurant & Retail oasis is a celebration of community, sourcing all of the all-natural beef we serve from our farm, just minutes away!" So, we were pretty surprised to only see an ordering counter and freezer cases when we walked in. But we did get over our disappointment when we walked around their showroom where the walls were jam packed with meats and prepared foods in refrigerated and freezer cases. Steaks, roasts, soups, and prepared entrees were everywhere. The selection was pretty dazzling. We learned that they had a nice feature with their prepared entrees, namely buy one get a second for half off. We bought a two pretty big frozen trays of Chicken Marsala with rice and broccoli, and beef Stir Fry with veggies and noodles. I just put them on our kitchen scale, and each are between a pound and a pound and a half. One was $10.70 and the second was marked down to $5.35, so that's at least two (probably more) very nice dinners for around $8 each. One sour note was the unsmiling, unfriendly cold shoulder customer service experience. Barely a word was spoken by the woman who processed our order.
