My wife and I tried 7B's for a bit of a lunch date. We had heard that it was very good and it lived up to what we were told! It has a cool vibe with lots of vintage looking signage on the walls including locally inspired ones. We ordered the nachos with chicken and they were really good. It was a huge amount of nachos, easily enough for four people. We also had the garlic Parmesan wings which were mildly flavored but quite tasty and fresh. I don't think these were frozen wings. I had the bacon jam burger which was delicious! The burger was fresh beef, again, not frozen, which is a huge thing for me! The bacon jam wasn't too sweet. Really nice. My wife had the hot honey chicken sandwich which she really enjoyed. They have a great selection of beers on tap as well as cans/bottles. I enjoyed a couple of Sam Adams Summer Ales and my wife had a mango hard cider. The service was great. They were attentive but not overbearing. My only gripe is that they don't serve dessert. Was in the area and drove past it and thought to myself I need to eat here sometime. On the way home I decided to pull into the Saturday lunch rushed venue, plopped myself at the one open seat at the bar, and enjoyed my time. No soup of the day, as of that moment I am guessing. Went with a steak bomb for lunch, came out relatively quick for how busy it was, but there was a lot of beer drinkers sitting down too so maybe not all getting lunch. The sandwich was delicious. Fresh bread, all the fixings were spot on, and the side of fries were hot! Would order this again. Went to 7B's today for lunch with my son. I ordered the hot honey sandwich with fries and he got the down and dirty burger. First let's start with the service. Our waitress was spot on! Friendly, efficient, very knowledgeable. AAA plus. Now to the food....that chicken sandwich was AWESOME! Hot, juicy, full of flavor and huge. The hand cut fries were a perfect addition to that delicious plate. I couldn't have asked for more. My son's burger was cooked to perfection. Full of flavor also served with the amazing fries. I was in this area for a work project the next morning so before checking into my hotel I looked for someplace to eat on Yelp. Couldn't find anything nearby but came upon 7B's by accident. Says Bar & Grill and right now I'm only interested in food. I walk in and a lovely waiter offers any seat in the place. There's a horseshoe shaped bar in the middle which looks completely fully. I'm thinking steak, but can't find any on the menu. Mostly burgers and the like. Finally I see a single line of "marinated steak tips". I'll take it. While I'm waiting I get a couple of phone calls. This place is so loud I can't hear a word. People at the bar are getting loud too. I'm clearly not a regular and I'm noticing I'm getting some looks. I'm from New York and I know there's no love list between NY and New England, particularly when it comes to sports. Food comes. Sides of rice pilaf and steamed veggies. Maybe it's me but these steak tips are not marinated. Sorry. Now the bar is really filling up, and getting louder. To me looks like a recipe for trouble. People also congregating in the parking lot. I pay my bill and adios. I hate being so critical and I only had this one experience so here's a couple of pluses. Went here for my nephew's hockey team fundraiser. Sorry to the other patrons that were dining that night- must have been a surprise to find so many 6-year-old hockey hooligans running around. The staff was so accommodating and the food was (mostly) delicious. I had the bacon jam burger and it was yummy! I left a 4 star rating because the fries were terrible. Seemed like they were old/reheated. Maybe they made too many when they saw the massive volume of people coming in for the fundraiser and then let them sit too long, but they had a starchy old texture. I'll definitely be back though. What is not to like at 7B's. This is a perfect burger and beers kind of place. And speaking of burgers, they even have grass-fed, locally sourced beef options. In general, there is a good selection of all the standard bar food. I visited a few times on my last trip to Western Mass and had good service every time I have been in. So went to 7B's today. I wasn't thrilled. It was really noisy and only half full. One server took our order, another server delivered the food, and another brought us the check. The first server, or any server, never came back to check on us. There were 3-4 servers standing in the corner chatting; it wasn't busy. I had the steak and cheese grinder with peppers, onions, and mushrooms. I thought I got just a cheese and steak grinder as you couldn't see the veggies. I called over the first server and asked. She said they chop them up and grill with the steak. Not my idea of getting peppers, onions, and mushrooms on a steak and cheese grinder. Although the steak was tender, I wasn't impressed. My brother had a burger melt. He said that was good. I guess my final thought is I wouldn't go out of my way to go there again...... read more

Celebrations were abound when we arrived here in Westfield, MA. I never been to the area, although I was in Amherst to visit Emily Dickinson a couple years back. Different story for another day. My 3 friends arrived here with dinner plans in mind and thought that this place was fairly popular with the locals. It was too popular in fact, when it was already busy when we got in. Thankfully, we got in before more people decided to have dinner and drinks here too. We arrived here around 6pm and left around 7:30pm. This place is apparently the place to be if you are anywhere in Westfield, MA. It was a hotbed of friends and food that you wouldn't believe. We met up with 2 people who happen to know one of my friends, so I go to meet new friends. The noise was a little above average, where you'd have to talk over the noise to hear others. It was definitely not a quiet place - at least during my experience here at 7B's Bar and Grill. For the most part though, it was a pretty good place to be when you're in Westfield, MA. A small restaurant bar and grill, but a big town favorite for all the locals and passersby who want liquor and pub cookin'. It was an average experience for me with good delicious food. I happen to dig in on some fancy burger that looked good on the menu. The overall experience here at 7B's Bar and Grill here in Westfield, MA can be categorized as being okay, but good. Ambiance was cool, but the noise level was above average - as mentioned above. The service here was good, friendly, and fast. With the dinner crowd coming through, it was good that we got in first before more people decided to show up on a Wednesday evening. It was my first time here in the area and I did trust my friends for showing me this place. They accept major credit cards, which is always a good thing - as well as cash. My friends and I sat near the corner near the entrance, which was nice. The place was clean enough and it seemed like the place to be in town where the beers flow freely. There is good options for parking here, although it can get crowded when you arrive late. Best bet is to get here early enough to secure a spot for lunch or dinner. Not sure about public transportation in Westfield, but Uber and Lyft can be your best bet if you don't have a private or rental car. I ended up getting the "Down & Dirty" burger, which is the burger and bacon with a fried egg - among many stuff that comes with it. It came with French fries, which was nice. I think I ordered a guiness beer on tap at the time, which was nice. The burger was ordered rare and it came out excellent, which seemed to be one of my highlights during my stay here on the western side of Massachusetts in May 2019. While this place is basically your stereotypical bar and grill type of restaurant, you can get your burger any way you want it. I ended up eating the entire burger and fries in one sitting. Having that beer was a blessing after a morning running on trails in southern Vermont, then driving south to Westfield, MA for another set of running the next morning. It's one of those things where road trips are fun and eating on the road takes a whole new meaning when you do such things. Prices here are pretty good. They're comparable to Chili's. 4.0 stars for the overall experience. 3.0 stars for the noise and ambiance. 3.0 stars for the prices. 4.5 stars for the burger and fries. It's loud, it's cold, it's a little bit greasy, but it's good. This restaurant is your typical neighborhood bar and grill. Expect it to be a touch more real and down to earth than a chain restaurant. And with that realness comes the chance that it's not going to be picture perfect or the place to bring your proper grandmother. But if you and your grandma are going to be fine with the loud music and AC running on a chilly day (like me and mine were), then I highly recommend stopping in. The portions are generous and they always seem to have a clever and creative special. I ordered the Irish Burger, which was perfectly salty thanks to the corned beef. I had mine without the thousand island dressing, but my dad ordered his with it and thought it was wonderful. It was still great without it. The fries are actually what prompted me to give it a four star rating. I've literally never had fries like this. They had the skins still on, they were salty, golden brown, and peppery. The pepper was whey got me. Definitely gave the fries their unique taste and earned four stars. 7B's isn't perfect and it's not for everyone. But they work with it.
