A little bit of this and a little bit of that, but something for everyone. While I miss the "scoop…read moreand salad" with an Otis Spunkmeyer chocolate chip cookie from Leos, there are many plusses for the breakfast and chicken sandwiches. I have had one of the cranberry salads to go which is fairly normal for what it is. I went back a second time to sit down and have one of the chicken sandwiches, which is a beautiful piece of chicken in a delicious roll, and lots of good drink options. I am the kind of person who likes to go out for dinner and pecks through the day, so sandwiches aren't always my go to food for breakfast/lunch because they are a bit heavy for a midday meal for me. Other people I know who swear by these sandwiches will choose to go to Ray Ray's every time over one of the fast food options for certain. If you aren't in the mood for a bagel at the new bagel place, this is an option that you might want to keep in your back pocket. When I went there, it must've been a school break because I believe they were children that were helping, and it had a really warm family vibe with friendly service.

We opted for a spicy chicken sandwich and a cranberry walnut salad. The sandwich was robust and the sweet potato fries came with a house-made peach honey mustard that was over the top. The salad was giant and packed with so many walnuts and cranberries that I couldn't finish it all. Roasted Brussels sprout leaves sprinkled on top added the perfect umami twist. Easy off and on from the MassPike. Bonus: live music (good!) on Saturday afternoons.

Our waitress was attentive and friendly, making sure we felt welcome throughout our meal. We kicked things off with calamari and bruschetta as appetizers. The calamari was fresh, but it could have used a bit more seasoning to elevate its flavor. As for the bruschetta, it had an unusual sour note that was quite unexpected and not at all what we've experienced before. My mother-in-law opted for the clam chowder, but unfortunately, she found it lacking and described it as terrible. On a brighter note, my wife ordered the chicken Alfredo and absolutely loved it. I chose the spaghetti and meatballs, and I was pleasantly surprised by the rich flavor of the meatballs, which redeemed the meal somewhat. Overall, I have to deduct two stars due to the disappointing appetizers and the clam chowder. While we appreciated the service, I don't think we'll be returning anytime soon.

The menu had so many great options - we decided to get a pizza, a pasta, and an entree to share between the four of us. For pizza, we ordered Donna's Favorite, and added crispy chicken. We all loved it and I especially loved the crispy prosciutto. Our entree was chicken piccata, and the capers and lemon in the sauce were excellent. We ordered the penne with vodka sauce, and again, the prosciutto was amazing! Portions were great and the three items we ordered were plenty for the four of us, and we even had leftovers for lunch. Wish we had saved room for dessert - next time!

Granville Country Store - Doesn't look like much, but a very good cold cut sub. Better than a lot of other sandwich shops around.

Very historic building in Granville MA, noted for their cheddar cheese. Has definitely evolved over…read morethe years. You can get a breakfast sandwich at any time as well as a cheeseburger for lunch. Not really a general store, but a nice place to visit, and they still sell their cheddar cheese. A solid 10 minutes of winding roads over and under mountains that get your ears popping if you're coming from Westfield. It's kinda out in the middle of nowhere and while it's a very charming place, the locals who were in and around the store the day we went were very unfriendly. Is it really so difficult to return a smile? The shopkeeper didn't say a word to us even as we were checking out our items, no hello, no, did you find everything ok? Nothing. I had to ask about their famous cheeses, and only then did he finally speak. I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt and say he was shy because once he did get to talking, he seemed a nice enough young man. So about that cheese, yeah, that's some good cheese. Definitely worth all the hype it gets. This isn't your ho-hum block of cheese from Aldi or Walmart, and I can imagine how good a sandwich would be if you add some of that cheese into it. They have 4 kinds from what I could tell. Sharp, extra sharp, horseradish, and applewood smoked. They cut you up a piece, weigh it, and wrap it up in foil for you to enjoy. I'd love to say that I'll be back to try some of their prepared foods for lunch or something like that but honestly, I don't know if I'd make the trek out there again, especially if the people there are normally that unfriendly.
