But its consistently troubling issue is the large amount of flour caked on and baked on the outside of the loaves. They use an extreme amount of flour on the raw dough as a release from their baking baskets, and after the bake they just leave it all stuck to the loaf. When I bring a loaf home I often spend a few minutes smacking it and scraping it over the sink where I dislodge so much raw flour from the outside of the bread. Sometimes there's a rind of undercooked flour cemented to the outside of the loaf. This is wildly unacceptable.

Now look, as the late Sly Stone sang, "Different strokes for different folks", meaning that we all have different tolerances for spiciness. I was OK with that blazing piece of green, that for all purposes looked like a slice of Bell Pepper, but it set off fire alarms for my wife, who flat out couldn't eat it. We got a lucky parking spot in a small lot right across the street and were seated without a reservation, which was also kind of lucky because Kisara doesn't have a lot of seating - I counted 8 tables (some for 4 and a few for 2) and nine seats at the bar.
