Overall I feel there is a lot of hype about Local Burger. Service is okay. Ambiance is typical. It's certainly busy but I think people are more in love with the idea of Local Burger but in reality it's just okay. Not a burger that makes your mouth water.

Went to the easthampton local burger for lunch with a friend. Located in an old mill with high ceilings and large open spaces. Always a challenge to decide what type of burger I wanted to eat. We shared an order of onion rings that were impressive in size. Large thick slices of sweet onion covered in batter and fried to a golden brown. Served with chipotle ketchup and of course piping hot. They were definitely good as presented but needed salt. After a couple I was kind of wishing for more seasoning in the breading. Maybe some Cajun seasoning? Not quite sure. They were also really heavy. Wondering what a tempura type batter would be better result being lighter? Not sure. Anyway my juicy Lucy arrived and was impressive in size. Very good burger with molten cheese in the middle and served with lettuce tomato and onion. Great outdoor grill flavor and a nice brioche roll. Know what would take this from a 8 to a 10 for me? Give me a few choices on what cheese goes in the middle. A pepper jack or smoked Gouda would push this baby over the edge. I'd even consider paying an up charge for this option. Over all a decent lunch with a decent value.

Left hungry. I took my sister who was back from FL to eat on Sunday. Food was good. We always loved riffs. Seems like they have tried to keep the menu similar. The spicing margaritas were delicious however my chopped salad was so small I left hungry and it barely covered the bottum of the bowl. For 20 dollars that bowl should be full. Also everything with the burger is al a cart. In a place where your buy drinks also that has a 100% markup on alcohol they should at least serve homemade fries or homade chips or side salad while dinning in. Meh I will give it one more try but don't skimp on food for the prices your charging for a burger or salad. Photo below was borrowed from another customer bowls are very shallow and theirs barely skirted the bottom also.

Our family was excited to try the new Local Burger in Easthampton, which is located in the former Riffs location in Eastworks. At this point it had been open for about a month so we figured it had been enough time to work through any kinks in service. We arrived at about 5:30 on a Friday. There are two areas you can sit - we sat in the bar side which is a little nicer than the walk-in/out orders side. Our waitress promptly took our orders. We were happy with the nice selection of beer on tap as well as cocktail choices. Our daughter got a milkshake that she really enjoyed. We tried two types of fries and both were very good - nice and crispy but a tad under salted so we added salt . Our burgers were delicious and we were happy with the various options. Meat was nice and juicy and the "local sauce" was yummy. We will definitely be returning for more!

Plenty of parking, and very impressed with the outdoor seating (some covered, some exposed). Order and pay at one window. Pick up at another. Busy place early afternoon, but my wait time only about 10 minutes. Lobster roll excellent, the smallish bun being overstuffed. I ordered the onion rings instead of fries and was disappointed that they were NOT onion rings. Onion strings (or some people call them onion straws) were given. Large mass of oily straws. Open year-round, although reduced hours off-season. Interesting menu, with various hot dog, chicken, and seafood options. I would rate the lobster roll as 4.5, and the glob of onions as a 2.5. Overall, 4 stars.

Delicious!! Nicely buttered roll with so much lobster you have to eat some of it before you can even pick this roll up. And not just claws like some places this was all solid lobster meat. $30 with fries- wish we remembered to opt for the onion straws (next time). Lobster was tender and flavorful with not an over abundant amount of mayo just the tiniest bit to hold everything together and it was tender, flavorful, and overall delicious. Arnold Palmer wasn't powdered lemonade either, it was perfectly fresh and not overly sweet. Then shop at the Amazing food co-op next door. Looking forward to our next trip here. Looks just like the many pics already posted.

First, I've got to get something off my chest. If you're going to put BRGR in your name rather than…read moreBURGER then why in the world do you also include BAD rather than BD?! I mean, come on! But aside from my grammatical criticism, the food is quite good. Competitively priced and generous portions. Their BLACK BRGR (which should be BLCK BRGER ...) is "interesting" but kind of like black squid ink pasta is something you need to really want for blck reasons as it's just not a color that really appeals. For licorice, no problem. For Oreo cookies - of course. But for a delicious burger bun? Mmmm - no. Just too conjuring of "burnt to a crisp" for me. A bit more sound absorption would be nice to take the edge off the acoustic impact. But pretty normal in that respect for similar places so not a big deal.

I needed a drink and asked the bartender for something to fit the theme (Xmas/Happy Holidays) and went for a Strawberry Margarita. It was quite fruity and didn't mind it not being strong since I had a long day. As for my dinner, I was told the Black Burger was the spiciest they got and went for that with fries. I plowed through half the burger before finally tasting any spice. I think the problem was they didn't bother spreading the sauce, just smacked it where ever it landed and left it there. The staff was friendly and helpful. Glad there's a place that opens late if you're looking for something to eat. Not bad and the food came out really fast as well.
